  1. Feeling better yet, Miss Sweet-thing? You should be back on your feet by now... right? :? :P
  2. Void armour is a mystery to me in what way it actually affects the accuracy. So far I assumed it was added on the total attack bonus which includes your current attack level and equipment bonus but I am not sure anymore. Never was actually, I am and was just speculating. #-o However, I would like to point out that equipment which increase your ranged attack bonus does not affect your damage, just your accuracy; much like melee weapons have separate, however in their case, visible strength bonuses. In regards to that, the ranger compensates their lower damage by having lethal accuracy that is higher than anything that a warrior or mage can achieve. That creates a steady flow of damage unless counterpointed by a warriors often very high ranged defense. It's a mich-mach of rock, paper and scissor tactics, as always. Back on-topic though, the void robes have their pros and cons just like any other armour- or weapon set. Working to collect void sets is a big pain, so I agree that it is a bit odd that someone would risk those horrific many hours you have to spend to receive a new one should you die in Bounty Hunter. :)
  3. What would you say if I drew you some pixel/real drawing? If you'd like, I can take any real-life picture of your face from a frontal angle and use it as reference for drawing you as an in-game character (much like I have with me and Linnea on my pixel signature and blog logo). I have an idea for a little something I would like to make for you to keep you going. :)
  4. Yup, if you are going to post more old pictures I am definitely going to drool over your blog. ;) I have been playing somewhat actively from at least 2005 and seeing the old interfaces and the old graphics brings up memories to another level. Especially as I only have about 2 pictures from my early gaming (which is a shame, I'd love to be able to follow my early progress, but alas that cannot be helped). Were fire giants really that ugly back in the old days? Everything looks so less crude today. Although I miss some elements of the old runescape interface. Which monster is that on the third picture? From the terrain and the drops you left it looks like an old iron dragon. Oh yes, it is. But I have to squint my eyes a lot to be able to tell. :P
  5. Oh that's nice. I'll join the club soon as I finish another 5 slayer tasks. Then I have that mask too (although I range on almost all my slayer tasks so it's useless for me). ;D Try pk with pink furbie power sometime? Spam Jagex into adding them as a super weapon! Meeeeep!
  6. The heap of replies - now answered! Issue #1 Alright, I don't normally answer to most replies even though you can be rest assured I read them. So to break my a little bit of a bad habit, I decided to finally sit down and answer some replies individually as I see fit. Hehe, thanks. I love ranged a lot, a bit more than the rest of the combat triangle. Agility used to be an old favourite, but it's tedious so I only get a level a month. Maybe I'll have that skill cape in 3 years? :P In a way, every time someone says "keep up the good work" it makes me cringe, even though I know they don't mean it in such a literal fashion. Runescape and my blog has never been nothing but enjoyable hobbies. I spend a lot of time on it, but I have things going on beside that. For example, I have been working on a game for a few years, I draw a lot and I love to experiment with vegetarian food and baking sweets, cookies and other bakery. Furthermore, I exercise regularly and like to bike, train archery and shooting and endurance running. I may have a special entry now and then about my other interest, but of course, this is still mainly a runescape blog. :) That's what I have been doing for a few months. I touched chins and wasted like 2m on it only to get one silly level. It is not worth it in my opinion. Besides, I love slayer so much anyway. So slaying is my primary ranged training method. I do hunt dragons and other high level monsters as well as go to GWD and fight aviansies for some quick funding of my ranged equipment. ----- I enjoy all the replies I have received. It makes me very happy to see how popular my blog is today. Tomorrow I am going biking around the town to get some of the finishing material I need for the next blog entry (which is half-done already). Expect to see the first in-real life pictures to be posted on this blog! See you all soon!
  7. Fey_Warrior's long reply appears to be very good, insightful and well thought-through in my opinion. I'm left stumped as to what to say in return so in the end, I will just silently agree and take his or her words into consideration as he or she adress this topic in such entirety. Applause to you, sir or madam!
  8. Still going strong, KG. I'm back online already thanks to my new mobile broadband so you can expect my continued support. Good job nolifing so many levels! =D>
  9. Good evening. I am really tired now, so I am not making a blog entry tonight. However, I am already online. The thing is, we went to Telia's shop near my new home and bought a subscription to a mobile broadband. I got the modem right over the counter, signed a paper and that's it. I am now online without having paid a dime as the mobile companies are practically giving away mobile broadband in order to take their share of the market. That in turn means I won't have to pay for my new broadband before January next year, woot! I am going to take pictures of my new apartment soon, expect a nice real-life related entry very soon. I received a very fine lamp I fell in lamp... love with 2 years ago. I also found 2 boxes of caramels I love and are difficult to find, hehe. I also have a special love and pride that's moving into my new apartment. More of all that in the next blog entry! I love you all, you have no idea how much your comments and continued support means to me. Thank you, and see you all soon on Runescape!
  10. 9th August 2008 - A Heroic Couple For the most part, the blog entries have been about either Linnea or myself. Today however, our achievements were achieved together. Sitting next to each other as we play, love is in the gilenoian air. However, before I go into our adventure together, I wish to enjoy another progress step in my 99 ranged goal. Ta-da! First attempt at getting "gratz". It didn't go too well, missing the screen and not being clear about when to type out the messages. Ah well. Breaking the habit of perceiving our own individual goals, we decided to go on a date by questing on Runescape and thereby overcoming the problems of long-distance love. The question of choise this time landed on the Watchtower quest. So you better watchout! I wish we did, because we were thrown hundreds of meters away by an ogre at a point in the quest. Linnea on the ogre catwalk. Surviving the perils of ogre attacks, knocking teeths out with her blade and my crossbow and talking with strange creatures with even stranger languages, we finally got our reward. Now you will find me in Yanille for more reasons than just using Pastyganster's gilded altar! Why thank you miss, now the two of us have completed Heroes Quest! Following our date, Linnea came home to my house and we completed Heroes Quest together. Now I can recharge my glory amulets - sweet! Now that was a goal I've had a long time. But it's not only I who have completed a goal, Linnea has completed a goal she has had since almost when she started playing. Pride week is over since a while back, but that doesn't me from saying... Whip time! Linnea has achieved Attack level 70 and with that she now has whip! She is really happy over it and we can look forward to see her future progress. From now on it's all awesome! However, it's good byes for now. I am moving in only a few hours and going to sleep for only a few hours. This time it's definite until I get broadband or hop on an internet café. Bye again! Thanks for everything! I love you all so much! P.S. Just going to get 5 hours of sleep tonight. >_<
  11. Oh, fine little axe you have. I want one bad. ;) By the way, what happened with Ohithere?
  12. I cannot help but think you are awesome. If you ever go insane, pm me ingame and I can be insane with you, haha! As always: A very big GOOD LUCK! !! |\/\/\/\/\/| !! __ | | __ .(_#) | LAURA! | (_#) \/ |__________| \/  =D> P.S. I'd love to try one of those Pepsi-flavoured chapsticks. ;)
  13. Aww thanks a lot for taking the time to make such a fun post. :D Blog entry coming up today. Just have been a bit... well, I haven't found the right words just yet, so my blog entry is 2 days late. Edit: Make that 3 days late. I have yet to complete it. I have one day left... ouch.
  14. Lol, 4 turoths tasks and still no leaf-bladed sword. Ah well, fine sword you have there on the ground. ;) Anyhow, good luck with... your stuff.
  15. I think she will live for even longer. Congratulations on the decent clue reward, K G. Still doesn't beat my Zamorak d'hide body reward, but still. Good job skilling and killing, too.
  16. Glad to see you are recovering slowly. Don't worry, I had something like that right after last christmas. You will be back happy and glad in a few days. Keep us posted, Miss Sugarlady! ;)
  17. Hello there. Was fun trying out aviansies for the first time, wasn't it? Good luck with your goals, as always. It's always nice to have them. See you in-game! :)
  18. Unfortunately this topic is way too big for me to read through it before posting. However, I do not think any pandemic would be capable enough to wipe out the entire human race simply because there will always be those who are immune. And using the generic "survival of the fittest" theory, this basically would mean the immune gene would be carried on into the next generation, in this sense evolving. Humans are very adaptable and capable thanks to the simple fact we have a thumb and fingers that allow us to make a pinching motion and therefore learned while we evolved how to manipulate objects. In practice this means that unless our natural environment was to be completely wiped out through e.g. global natural disasters, there will always be some of us who survive and reproduce. Even if disasters such as if the ozone layer disappeared and left us unprotected from ionising electromagnetic rays, radioactivity suddenly exploding into such extreme levels that even hiding under earth wouldn't protect us from ray disease (look at atom bomb victims and you get the idea of how deadly that is, it basically is like being drilled with billions of small invisible holes through your entire body. Soviet Russia conducted experiments of sending thousands of soldiers into Chernobyl a week after the explosion to see if they could survive. None of the test subjects did.) and flooding to such extreme layers all land would disappear (which is practically impossible as you would still have himalaya and other high-above-water places) or simply a crazy Dr Paul Leet going berserk with the baby-making - the earth would be covered with so many babies using up all our oxygen, we would instantly die from suffocation. Let's hope Paul behaves until I can meet him irl and have him sterilised...
  19. July is over. It's August now. Time to edit the topic, eh? :)
  20. I never saw Runescape as a career I commit my life to, or an addiction comparable to smoking. It's just a game and I play it when I want to. However, Runescape is such an awesome game, I log-on to it almost every day because I simply love it. Therefore, I cannot say I'd ever quit playing. How much I play may go up and down however depending on circumstances. And sometimes, I may leave it alone for a few days to spend some time outside or at other things such as real hobbies, school and of course my significant other. With the balance I have, I can continue playing Runescape without it destroying my soul. Life is awesome!
  21. You spit out level up pictures like a machine gun, Crusader. Congratulations on level 80 hunter! Hilarious story, too! :
  22. Please behave, boys. Flaming each other gets you nowhere. Keep speculating, though. It's interesting reading.
  23. Forum Name:Eagle_Tas Picture Name:Eagle Tas http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn272/Eagle_Tas/Eagle_Tas.png Me in my generic ranging setup. No coif due to glitch, though. If I get a picture of Linnea, put me next to her, please?
