  1. Overall, I don't think circumcision is bad enough to warrant being illegal. I don't think it's necessary or useful, but it's an individual choice.
  2. Speaking from the perspective of a computer programmer (which I do for a living, albeit as a student currently), it's impossible to create true human emotion. (or even animal emotion for that matter) I can create a "robot" that will say "that makes me sad" whenever you type the sentence "you're an idiot", but at the end of the day, it's just bits being flipped and it's doing exactly what it's been told to do. It's no different from pressing the gas pedal of a car and expecting the car to move forward. If the car doesn't move, it's not (and cannot be) because the car somehow objects to moving, it's because it's been told not to, or something's broken.
  3. As a historical fact, Saddam Hussein gassed his people. If that's not enough to remove a dictator from power, I don't know what is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights_in_Saddam_Hussein%27s_Iraq I'm not sure what you classify as a WMD, if you're only including nuclear bombs or what not... maybe you should touch up on that as well: A chemical, biological, or radioactive weapon capable of causing widespread death and destruction. Yes, I know WMD's aren't just nuclear weapons and that he used chemical weapons in 80's, and still had some in the 90's. But in my opinion, having or using WMD's still doesn't give other countries the right to declare war. The US used plenty of WMD's in the past as well, and they still have them. But nobody will declare war on them.. It's a good point. However, the US generally hasn't used them on their own civilians, and when they have used them it's (generally) been on military targets for military reasons. This is why I think there should be a worldwide blanket ban on WMD's.
  4. Nah. Not enough people play probably. But there is a tip.it steam group though.
  5. Why? Because you can't just invade a country just because it might have WMD's. Declaring war is a crime in itself. Debatable. While I'm one of those who abhors wars and would prefer to see them never occur, it's unreasonable and naive to say there is never justified military action. There is not a peaceful resolution for every single conflict, sometimes war is the only viable option. These wars were weakly justified, sure. But not all wars are like that.
  6. Dunno, I never play turbine. But the best time to stab on payload(as red) is when your team is getting owned by like five heavies on the cart.
  7. Lol @ last night. Eager is so useless. But now we have a dilemma. Boobs, or green men?
  8. Society as a whole generally values life over individual freedom, that's why murder is illegal. If you truly "value individual freedom highest of anything" then there's no way you can say murder should still be illegal.
  9. Robots can never have a sense of self or consciousness like we have. They could have only an illusion of it.
  10. You're overreacting lol. It's a link. We've already said this is a good idea, and we're going to do it....so calm down. We've survived without it for the last, you know, ten years...so I'm sure no one is going to die if we don't have it for another little while.
  11. Agreed on that for sure.
  12. They barely played it at all this game.
  13. Wow. We've got ourselves a game.

Can't really compare until you've tried not bathing for a while :P Aye. I used to think my friends' not washing their hair was nasty, but now I do it and actually get more compliments on how nice my hair is. I'd try not showering, but at the end of a day I'm literally covered in filth. So, I take as little shower as possible. Yeah, I've heard that hair sans shampoo (after a few months) is actually really really good...

Showering often is actually pretty bad for your skin. If you don't mind the smell, it's actually healthier to shower/bathe less than every other day...
  17. The only thing going through my mind while watching this game is "Dammit, Kessel"....
  18. Not going to stop them, it's their loss. I'd like to see their faces on the 22nd though. I'd try to reason with them...these conspiracy theories are the same things as scams, they prey on the gullible. This person is a victim.. Unless, of course, it somehow turns out to be true, in which case, he'll be laughing all the way to the....uh.....???????
  19. Apparently someone spent their life savings putting up advertisements in NYC :?
  20. That's not for another year I think...
  21. So, we've got a bunker in Iceland and the TZDF sanctuary somewhere in the southeastern USA. Odds are pretty good. If the internet, cell phones, or radio still works, the two bases can coordinate to survive and secure domination over both North America and Europe. You can assume that the believers will allow the apocalypse to happen, and nonbelievers will be too stunned to do anything. We're the only ones that seem intent on surviving it. There will be very little competition. I forgot about the TZDF bunker...whatever happened to that thread?
  22. My preference is for medieval or Gothic architecture. Can't stand most modern stuff.
  23. Don't I get in free? ;)
  24. If we all survive the apocalypse, we'll use this thread to plot collective TIF world domination over the survivors.
