  1. I can see longer fights in the summer. All the school age people have less commitments so they're able to stay up later.
  2. Agreed, but I don't know that it merits an entire forum.
  3. I guess we'll see how things go tonight :P
  4. Same. Still can't see Det winning, but we'll see. Going for Boston/Vancouver next round anyway.
  5. Good point. Although I read your entire post in T-Pain's auto-tuned voice.
  6. Not a bad band either :P I knew it sounded familiar...Lizzy, are you a fan or is that just coincidence? I didn't even know there was a band called Freya lol. We were looking through names for when my sister-in-law was pregnant with Carys, they decided Freya, but when she was born they decided against it and went with Carys.... and I decided then that if I ever had a girl, I wanted her to be called Freya... or Blodwyn, but everyone told me I wasn't allowed to call my baby Blodwyn lol. Uhh yeah good call on their part. Freya is nice though :)
  7. I wish we could see a SJ/WSH series to decide which team is the worst choker. EDIT: Watched the DET/SJ highlights from last night. Lot of hate in that series.
  8. Yeah don't think you can fault Neimi. It's that gutless Marleau. :P
  9. Good point. Added subtitle.
  10. Again, that depends on your point of view. Right now, everyone would, without a doubt, say 'yes it is immoral', but back then it wasn't thought immoral by those who owned slaves. But no one is going to argue that slavery is still moral in the twenty-first century. Does that mean it was moral to own slaves?
  11. Well the argument I encountered was not that slavery was necessarily acceptable, but that it was not particularly wrong just because it was acceptable at the time.
  12. Fair enough. I hope armstrong gets on their once he retires hah
  13. I recently had a very interesting discussion about the morality of slavery, in which some interesting points were brought up that I hadn't heard before. I'm curious to see what the majority think about this. Post away (and please explain your viewpoint if you choose "other" or if the poll doesn't properly represent your feelings). Curious to see how this pans out.
  14. Don't really watch TSN. What did they do?
  15. I punch people. But seriously, I find it don't often get too stressed. If I am though I'll go for a walk or something, expend energy and all that.
  16. *hopes misterxman enters* Although that would probably mean game over for everyone else lol...
  17. I think the "i before e" rule is used because it's mostly the case for common words, words that younger children are likely to use.
  18. PEOPLE ARE GETTING MOAR XPs THEN ME! I GET MAD AND JEALOUS AT PEOPLE GETTING AHEAD OF ME AND RUINING THE SATISFACTION OF MY OOBER FLETCH CAPE! Yup. Dat caps lock. Yeah, I agree. I think it's more about people feeling cheated that they've done things "the right way" then there actually being serious detriment caused by botting.
  19. Thats a false dilemma - theres no reason a person cant meet both criteria. You're missing the point. Is a person who sells Runescape money for real money an inherently bad person because he/she broke Runescape rules? Should you disassociate yourself from such a person because they sold RS money? If yes, on what grounds? I wouldn't take it to the extreme of disassociation. I do consider it mildly dishonest though.
  20. Bump to say: I did not hit her! I did not! Although, lovers of this fine movie might also enjoy the next feature film from the Tommy Wiseau:

Because someone with bad communication skills will undoubtedly run into problems serving customers and interacting with other employees. I was an assistant manager at a fast food place for two years and I saw this every day.

I never said he specifically didn't have a half decent interview. Of course I wasn't there. My point was merely that having superior job experience is not a guarantee of success.
  23. obfuscator replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
I can talk and be nice. What's the problem? I understand some jobs are based off your character, but not all of them. I'm sure you can. But for many jobs, someone who is unable to do a half decent interview probably has attitude and communication problems.
  24. obfuscator replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
I don't think so. You need good personal skills to excel at almost all jobs. If you can't manage to be friendly and speak well enough at interviews that would severely hurt your ability to many jobs well.

How are they supposed to know they guy is an alcoholic? Work experience and knowledge is useless if you can't present yourself well in interviews.
