  1. Lol epic dedication to everton ;) Grats!
  2. Like others have said it's a mix. Uber takes priority, then kritz I think. Best thing to do is uber a heavy and follow in with a critz soldier or demo.
  3. Well, the oilers aren't exactly doing all that well. Although, to be fair, neither is Calgary. Leafs beat the devils 3-1. Didn't see the game but heard it was ok. Looks like the leafs are going to be a very "streaky" team this year.
  4. Immigrants, both legal and illegal, take all kinds of jobs - "good" jobs as much as "bad" ones. I agree with nick, short of actually building that huge wall and dedicating 100% of the military to border defense the states will never manage to keep out a large percentage of illegals.
  5. Hi - I've moved your topic to the questionnaires forum as that is a more appropriate place for it.
  6. Vid works too :P
  7. I'm also glad its not in 3D. 3D tends to ruin movies limo. The only ones it doesn't ruin are animated movies and movies that are already bad.
  8. Still, I'm not complaining :P
  9. So, if you can't claim your rights, and are completely vulnerable, you're suggesting you don't deserve them?
  10. Can you post some kill pics? I think we'd all appreciate seeing them :P
  11. I'm not saying people are innately good or evil. I'm saying that due to certain factors some people are willing to do evil, others are not. Did you just try to use a zombie apocalypse as a factual example for the behavior of some in society when put under pressure? As I've said before, if you're going to make statements, prove them. Otherwise, I reserve the right to disregard them (as does anyone). Christianity tells you that if you are murdered in direct defence of your faith you are a martyr. In order for this to be constituted correctly it would require a man holding a gun to your head telling you if you did not renouce Christianity he would fire. The crusades were an unfortunate corruption of that idea. The idea in islam is practically the same - but it is corrupted by a scant few who use it as an excuse to terrorize.
  12. Untrue. I can think of many causes for conflict in a stateless society such as the caveman one in your example. Organized states make conflict bigger because they involve more people - that's it. If people are neither good nor evil, why will people put in the same situation with the same incentives do different things? Most historians agree? There's a fact - now I want a source, otherwise I call bs. What religion tells you that? Opinions don't need to be sourced. Facts do.
  13. Well if you look at groups of cavemen, they are really careful to harm members of their own groups. True warfare may have existed between groups (which is unlike as most anthropologists think they survived from co-operation) but warfare as we know it came about with states and religion. Im not going to provide you a source, this is just my general understanding of history - besides the anthropologist part which I can dig up a source if you want. So basically you want to spout whatever comes up and not source it at all? Don't expect to convince anyone. And @sees_all: best post in the thread, hands down.
  14. The royal family holds symbolic power only - afaik the Queen has to sign all laws into being before they become active. However, she will generally sign whatever parliament brings her, and if she didn't, she'd be overthrown. Interestingly enough, in the past, Royals (not england) have abdicated the throne to make a moral objection to laws they would have had to sign had they stayed.
  15. You claimed that "humans have been saying harming another individual is wrong" since Day one. I'd like to see a source showing that humans all got along really well, and never killed each other, since we began to evolve.
  16. You said, and I quote, "things built in China are utter crap". Now I'm giving you examples about how they're not utter crap. LOL, anymore excuses? "waaaaah olympic buildings don't count" "waaaaah ancient buildings don't count" "waaaaaah you give examples first so I'll have an easier time countering them" :wall: :wall: Show me a building in America that's built into the side of a cliff will ya? Spain: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castellfollit_de_la_Roca France: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocamadour US: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesa_Verde Yemen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Hajjara Italy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Positano Greece: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santorini Need I go on? The point being made here is that I don't think any country or society is particularly better at architecture then any other.
  17. "order and safety" are distilled versions of morality, stemming from "its wrong to harm another individual." morality itself does not stem directly from religion. Humans have been saying harming another individual is wrong since day one, and long before the establish religions threatened an eternal hell if you differ from that morality. order is emergent, it is not reliant on a government or religion to exist Source?
  18. Yes, it's quite possible. We actually do that at work for 15 plus pcs, and it works fine.
  19. Wish I could have watched it, don't have cable so I only get the Saturday games unless I go out. I'm glad he's finally had a pretty productive game, since a lot was made of him since he came from Chicago(somewhat unfairly). Lol at MacArthur getting the three assists as well, and at least Grabovski salvaged an otherwise bad game for him.
  20. Not a huge thing in Canada really. Happy for him and all that, minimal effect to me. He may never be crowned King at any rate..
  21. Lol it still works. Did it for two deaths and people got really mad :D
  22. C# is a pain in the ass to use with other operating systems. Java is made to run anywhere - it's basically unbeatable for cross platform development. Without arguing the other merits of C# over Java, for this specific situation it's a no contest until Microsoft takes a genuine interest in making their technologies portable. I also keep hearing about the "many advantages" of C# over Java, but I've never seen them. I haven't a huge amount of experience with the language but I've never felt hindered by using Java nor enabled by using C#. Perhaps you can enlighten me?
  23. If you're not interested in developing yourself I'd take a look around the app store and see if you can find any developers taking requests. Also, you'd need to come up with a pretty solid proposal if you expected any share of profits I think.
  24. I have two pairs. One is the standard ipod ones, came with the ipod. The other is a set of earbuds from wal-mart. Probably cost around $15, but I don't think I can find a link.
  25. Will try tonight :D
