Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
When did I quote the bible? That's like me saying: A far left communist said this, so obviously you're a communist as well! EDIT: Three years of posting here, and I don't think I've quoted the bible once.

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
They aren't in the thread, presumably because of how violently people here tend to attack non-liberals  Which is probably worse than the whole homophobia thing. How are they supposed to be tolerant when the people who claim they are tend to be even less so? The only difference is that instead of disagreeing with homosexuality they actively hate anyone who doesn't share their beliefs. It matters to some people, but it shouldn't matter to others whether or not it matters to them. Does that get any point across? Oh, I was never in any confusion as to your point :P Ahh yes, from not supporting gay marriages to hanging black people. That seems to be the logical step the extreme left makes these days in regards to anyone who has even the slightest moral dislike for certain activities. Personally, I'm a pretty moderate considering I'm anti-gay marriage. I support abolition of DADT, sexual-orientation related violence should always be criminally prosecuted, etc. But I believe taking an institution meant to foster the creation of children and stripping it of that purpose is immoral. But of course, now, I'm basically Hitler.

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
But it does matter to some people, whose set of values and morals is such that they feel it's wrong.

Post the Contents of Your Pockets
For some reason I read "lightsaber" instead of lighter. Although, if anyone on this forum would carry a lighsaber, it would be you :P

Post the Contents of Your Pockets
Left pocket: wallet Right pocket: keys (usually my blackberry as well but I'm at work so it's on my belt) Rarely keep things in my back pockets, except work gloves sometimes if I'm doing manual labour of any kind.

Enders Game
Enders Game was really good. I tried reading the others (both Ender's story and Bean's) but didn't like them nearly as much.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I have to disagree, anyone who's flirting that much when they're just starting to date isn't going to get better.

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
Yeah, he didn't have nearly the same kind of pressure on him. I wonder what will come of Nazem Khadri? He's been doing well for the Marlies but I can't see him being higher than second line for the Leafs... Apparently they switched him to LW too. EDIT: Well, wilson switched up the lines now: http://www.thestar.com/sports/hockey/article/880540--leafs-bump-kulemin-up-to-top-line?bn=1 Kumelin with Versteeg. Hopefully this should be good for both lines.

Salary Cap
Yeah, it made things much more even in NHL world. Penguins for example went from last in the league to cup winners in 2 (or 3) years?

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
Animals also hump the wrong kind of animal, inanimate objects, and run into cars. It's a flawed argument because humans aren't animals in a moral and intellectual sense. Although, the "homosexuality is unnatural" argument is also flawed...

Versteeg was what, second line in Chicago?

Your political compass
So I'm curious to see what OT's political affiliations are in general. There's a test here: http://www.politicalcompass.org/test which I think is pretty good. It's a bit long, but please try to answer questions truthfully so you get a realistic result. It measures you on a chart like this one: Right and left, authoritarian and Libertarian, etc. You can answer the poll questions as well! Mine: Economic Left/Right: -1.88 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.36 Slightly left, barely authoritarian. It's about what I was expecting, I've always been very middle ground politically with most of my opinions and then a few "far out" opinions in either direction. My predictions: Seeing as this is the internet, more left than right. Not sure about auth vs lib though, should be interesting to see. Post away :)

Most Memory Efficient Browser?
Chrome is very lightweight. Personally I think it's chrome, but some would argue firefox is better due to the fact that chrome creates individual processes per tab. Firefox has known memory hogging issues though, so I'd go with Chrome. I've certainly never had any problems with it.

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
So basically you're content to warp the definition of genocide to whatever happens to suit your agenda? Ok.
-
Vegetarianism
That's not completely true. Even just looking at the contingency plan for the invasion of Iran it would basically be impossible for the states to come up with a military victory short of deploying nuclear weapons. And in fact, I'd say the states is the least likely country possessing nuclear weapons to actually use them.
-
Vegetarianism
Yes, Canada and the states are 0/4. For sure. What's Russia? What's China? What's Iran? What's Saudi Arabia? Whats are the several hundred other countries where people live in constant fear and poverty every day? No country is perfect. It would be nice if people could be at least somewhat appreciative of what is done, rather than constantly critical of what isn't.

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
Yeah. They can't afford to give up 40 shots, especially as their D is supposed to be good. Bozak has a couple assists, and at least kessel + macarthur got another one lol.
-
Traffic Lights
Yeah if you look right behind the line you can sometimes see the big square area(looks like a bad patch job).

Traffic Lights
Pressure plates, usually. I know some lights have motion sensors, but it really depends where you live.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
No, it won't help. Don't get involved, just because she wants to be a [bleep] doesn't mean you have to be a douche.
-
The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
Well, the leafs fail. They didn't get outclassed so much as they had some great chances/pressure, but made far more stupid mistakes then the flyers did. Gotta clean up the act. Managing more than 16 shots wouldn't hurt either.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
Seriously insane. I can't imagine the dedication that took, and it ended up being a really good movie too.

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
Of course, but he still doesn't have many points :P They are putting gunarsson in for tonights game, and Mitchell replacing Zygomanis on the fourth line. Zygomanis didn't do much, but he did win a lot of faceoffs.
