I voted TS2, as I don't think TS3 had come out yet when I stopped clanning, but I haven heard most clans moved. I personally prefer vent, and never figured out exactly what made ts so much better...

The reason people see it as an attack on american principles is because some Muslims are radicals - the kind of radicals who perpetrated the 911 attacks. Unless this mosque will agree to completely alienate those radicals who harbor anti-american sentiment (which they won't) I can see why it is viewed as offensive. That said, it is the freedom to be offensive that sets america (and others) apart from the rest of the world. The mosque should be allowed.

I know I actually considered joining the titans, but their boards were ridiculously ugly, so I didn't. I think the only paid service that is really crucial for a clan is teamspeak hosting. While paying for hosting is nice, and may have a small effect on the overall opinion of the site, it isn't necessary for success. What's far more important are things like a well implemented vision, good leadership, and dedicated members.

Just out of interest, how did the last 2x weekends go clan-wise? Seems to me it would be a pretty big incentive to train, which in turn would seem to help clans with a lower combat average, as the maxed clans would just be skilling...

Ban E-Vade In that case, it's unsurprising he's misrepresenting the reason for his ban. I heard he got banned for IRC for the above reason and thengot a 30 day ban for "trolling". He then made a new account to say the ban was ridiculous and then got perm banned. Just what I've heard though (H) It isn't the policy of staff to reveal details of an individual user's ban, and obviously I've got no place to say anything, but I can assure you that is a complete falsehood.

As unfortunate as it is that tip.it isn't as active as RSC (at least in terms of top warring clans posting) I don't think you (madcat) are fully aware of exactly how difficult it is to get people to change their ways. Rsc....is a good forum. They aren't great, but they're satisfactory. Why would top clans want to leave what already suits them fairly well for something that might be better, but definitely might not work out? When I was added as a CL - I was a member of SE - a top 10 clan, maybe even top 5 by some opinions. You've no idea how much I tried to get people posting here - every fight I posted I linked on their boards, I constantly pointed people towards the lack of flaming here, constantly asked for help with the recruitment topic...I think I had personal conversations with 20+ different members about posting here, including 90% of the leadership. It barely worked....three months of effort, and maybe 3 SE members posted here with any frequency. You advocate certain people to be members of the clan staff - you've no idea of the process. Tip.it holds their staff to a very high standard...I've been on multiple messageboards, countless communities throughout the internet and I can safetly say the staff here are in a league of their own in terms of sheer professionalism and the effort they put into their work here. Not anyone can do that. Just because someone is a good user doesn't make them a good moderator. You don't need to be a staff member to have a positive effect on the community here. I don't see you making an effort to get clans posting here, indeed your posting habits on this board seem to be mirroring RSC. You don't really care at all - if you did you might try to contribute in a positive manner - as both everton and generaldesor also had the chance to do. You, along with many, care more for putting people down and having your "internet lols", posting your "u mad bro"'s and flaming at every opportunity then you care for behaving in a way that represents tip.it in a positive manner. Until you put your personal gratification aside and look at the bigger picture, no one will ever take you seriously.

Macs won't last you any longer than pc's. Unless you're into graphic design, media related stuff a windows pc can do anything a mac can, and will cost a lot less + be familiar. If you are heavily into media related stuff though, I'd definitely recommend a mac. It's not like going to linux or anything, they're quite useable.

I love playing demo :D Probably my favorite class, except I really like scout/medic as well. I rarely use stickies though, I prefer the grenade launcher.

So does phpBB.. Reliability wise I've never witnessed much difference - I actually prefer phpBB over IPB because I find it easier to use and less bloated with ridiculous features. We used to be on phpBB as well, but we changed because IPB does have several advantages over phpBB.

True, the storyline wasn't as unique. I felt the overall gameplay was better - although MW was a good game, don't get me wrong....nothing for me has ever beaten those mp_harbour rifles only matches.

There's no good reason to buy a Mac if you aren't going to use OSX...you're basically getting something flashy looking with expensive hardware. Adding to the above, Asus's are good. I also have a Toshiba that I'm quite happy with.
