  1. Biological issues arriving from incestual reproduction tend to not manifest themselves until the process is repeated several times: so a daughter bearing a father's child isn't likely to cause genetic problems unless that child then bears the father's child, etc... EDIT: Upon further research it seems this may not be entirely accurate. I'd be curious to learn more about it... One interesting thing to note from that ruling is this snippet: How long ago might this have said "the institution of heterosexual marriage" in reference to a homosexual case?
  2. Yes, because it's obvious by now he's an emotional trainwreck himself.
  3. I agree. However, it's clear that these rights do come into conflict and some people will push the issue: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smith_and_Chymyshyn_v._Knights_of_Columbus_and_Hauser_and_Lazar
  4. this would have been much more clever if you said 'deep "comma"'
  5. One reason that I think religious people are so fervently against gay marriage is because if it's legalized that opens them up to possibly being forced to perform gay marriages (and their freedom of religion being violated in the process).
  6. Pretty sure us internet doctors aren't going to be much help. See a real doctor.
  7. Not necessarily. But when you give that advice you're basically encouraging him to pressure her for sex and not say that he loves her...which probably isn't good advice in his situation.
  8. Except it's not necessarily a mistake. Sex and love can often be related, and your second point is not always true either.
  9. Wait, you told a girl you've been seeing for less than two months and haven't slept with that you love her? >_> he's only 17 dude, relax (not condoning anything. I'm just saying that once again this thread is trying to force teenagers to act too much like adults.)
  10. I'm pretty sure every species of animal has been known to eat its own shit at some point too....the "animals do it" argument is pretty weak as a result. And there are some sexual attractions which are fetishes, and we all have a choice as to how we manifest our sexual attractions and incorporate them into our lifestyle.
  11. Historically the government's interest would specifically be in procreation, as adopting someone else's child isn't growing your population. Not such a relevant issue these days, I just thought i'd make the observation.

    Today...

vote lanzor for "most likely on Tif to wear a flask tie"
  13. Is there something we don't know about? Because what I saw was a stupid topic getting locked...not sure how much more there can be to it than that.
  14. Yep. they're going for it hardcore this year.
  15. You're so clever. I wish I'd thought to post a tired religious strawman argument before religion was even mentioned in the thread. I think you'd do well to read the thread more carefully next time, Mr. Y Guy edit: you troll

  17. I promised myself I wouldn't get involved in this topic, but I do have to stress what you're saying is not technically true. Straight males and females cannot "marry anyone they'd like", they can marry anyone of the opposite sex, a right gay people have in full as well. Marriage is not a right that some people currently have and do not, it's something that isn't what some people want and so they want to expand it to make it something they do want.
  18. all i know is that rainy and I should have been married years ago, but we couldn't because he's a monkey, and this makes me MAD
  19. Ehh...I did enjoy the movie, but a 9 is a movie that's almost completely perfect, and I just didn't think ZD30 was that. Yeah. For a bit of a film aficionado there are several key movies I've missed, but I'm trying to catch myself up.
  20. Finally watched Forrest Gump. Enjoyed thoroughly. 8/10
  21. Saw Zero Dark Thirty. It was pretty good. More deserving of "Best Picture" than Argo imo, although the best movie I've seen this year was Les Mis. 8/10
  22. the grey? more like the GAY took the words right out of my mouth , i say with a seductive winking face ew, why were my words in your mouth?
