Competition is mainly a problem in the middle area of gwd, inside the armadyl eerie are less people but the aviansies are also stronger there. They range, so no safespots. There are loads of guides in the aow about aviansies, I'd recommend you read them.

Make fruit bats instead of bunyips. You can either make bloated leeches or stranger plants, stranger plants give more xp but have a more expensive 2nd. Save your blues, and make spirit tbirds with your golds. You would need around 2600 crims if you make just bloated leeches to 70, and 2000 if you make stranger plants. This will be less though, as you will also get other charms while gathering crims.

You will never have a 100% chance. If the drop rate is 1/300, it's improbable that you won't get one if you kill 2k monsters, but it's still possible.

Alching is not fun. I used to alch in Verac's tomb, but they removed being able to alch there. I'd recommend going bandos/sara gwd, no randoms and you can watch the people own the bosses.

Prayer pots are the cheapest way at every level, but some other potions are way way faster. At your level that doesn't matter much though, as 87.5 xp per potion is already enough to level fast.
