  1. [hide=13 kills][/hide] Best solo so far, if I hadn't hit that many 0's on that last kill would have gotten 14. Loot and stuff: [hide=Drops/sups] [/hide]
  2. I find it pretty interesting how metal and post rock seem to match up so well, I know quite a few people (including myself) who like both :P Currently listening EF - Give Me Beauty... Or Give Me Death (album) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4GK-nlmebk Oh and now this song. The ending sounds so creepy and awesome at the same time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGbx6n2oHh4
  3. Yeah and they should totally claim it improves your junk while you wear it. Glad I never bothered to wear it really, it's even more useless than I suspected :P
  4. I used to 'just don't like' harsh vocals too but you can really grow to like it, which is pretty awesome since it opens up a huge array of pretty good (understatement) metal bands you can listen too while you previously couldn't.
  5. Mono - Hymn to the Immortal Wind
  6. So do you believe in miracles too? I'm at 5 bootless tasks in a row without row (lame pun) so far, averaging under 1 boot/task since 83 slayer. Your conclusion is right though, other rings are better than row. Even though they only make a barely noticeable difference too lol.
  7. The only way really is to guess, if he is maging I would guess range and melee/range guess mage. Unless you are really low defense you should be fine. Hmm I figured as much, got a bit better at pray switching and finished 2 uni's with 1 brew and sgs. Had a few awesome sgs specs but also often forgot to heal with uni, so once I get a good drop I'll be buying a bgs and I'll be fine :P Got to 31 kills in 1 hour 30 mins today, still not really satisfied but it's okay I guess. And as suggested above, I brought sw cape and broads. It meant slower kills but since you use like 200 bolts a trip it's probably best to keep the costs down in that department - I still maxed 44 with broads so they're not that bad.
  8. Extremes, soul split is of no use at arma/tds. But, as said above, soul split would probably be helpful at dks. I'd go for extremes anyway.
  9. I agree. People need to lighten up and don't be oversensitive about this kind of stuff, it's just a joke. Of course you can show some respect when you have to, but within boundaries jokes should always be allowed and accepted, regardless of the topic.
  10. Other people watch tv or something in their spare time. As long as you didn't give up social things to play rs instead and enjoyed rs while playing it, the time wasn't wasted. But meh 6/10 for being able to actually quit when you want to I guess.

50 seeds doesn't produce credible results. Nowhere near close to presentable research. Never said it did. That's why I want to see results of someone testing 1000 seeds. 6.88 average over 1k toadflax seeds, using my arms patch and digging up diseased herbs. A total of 92 deaths (ate a slice of pie each time a seed died). Even this isn't a large enough sample size, I stopped testing after that 1k but I have the feeling my average went down to 6.7 or something, I should just do it again but I can't be bothered to keep the herbs anymore. I do agree with what you're trying to say though, farming level should affect yield. I just didn't find your 50 bad seeds a reason to start a rant :P Ehm picture. I translated the dutch. 1k seeds, 6883 total, 6.88 average, 19008k profit, 19k profit/seed. And yeah I sold those about 1.5 weeks before the herblore update

Besides, 80 seeds and a low average is nothing to complain about. Try 1k seeds and if your average is still under 6.6 when you're done you can complain.
  13. So do I need sweets/energy rests or not? :P Taking a yak with some super energy pots seems like a good idea anyway, but I'd like to know how many I'd need.
  14. With your def level, you could probably try to no pray karil if you change your pure set to a super set (good idea anyway) and use 2-3 dds specs on him to kill him quickly. Also yes, for tanking the brothers you dont'use prayer on you should bring a barrows top/bottom.
  15. Prayer bonus doesn't help much since most of the prayer drain is from the barrows effect anyway. I'd go for the cape with most def bonuses or a god cape if you got a low mage bonus (lower than -20 or something). Besides that, it's all luck and if you stick to it you should get a drop soon.
  16. Well I guess I can't complain, but had to eat 2 pizzas to pick them up
  17. Ehm another question, is there a way you can predict their attack style without having your sounds on? I found uni doesn't keep up if I just randomly choose a protection prayer when they switch attacks.
  18. Hi, I kinda want to try soloing zilyana again, last did it before the room update with lower stats and stuff so would like to try again. I got a few questions though. Is there an important difference between solo armadyl and solo sara regarding gear and inventory, except for wearing verac skirt instead of karil skirt? About how many sweets would I use per kill with 87 agility? Is it even worth it to use sweets or would I be better off with tbird? Any other tips? Stats if you want to know: 95 melee/mage/range, 99 hp/pray/summ and access to overloads/most gear. Thanks in advance
  19. Farming of course, 18.3m xp now and only toadflax herb runs since 15m. Highest ranked skills are farming at ~600 and summoning at ~1200.
  20. Sounds awesome. I got the exact same mouse as you, and I never thought of setting programmable buttons to f keys. F keys themselves are intuitive as it is, but I'm totally going to try setting my mouse buttons as f keys. Also remapped f8/f9 to 2/5 numpad keys, works pretty well with mousekeys. But yeah, this might be total overkill for rs.
  21. I don't agree with those two statements. Herbs are either all done or there's 1/2/3/4 patches that are not done yet, and those won't suddenly grow a few minutes later; it takes another full growth cycle (or multiple growth cycles to get to the next stage) for them to grow. Also, I think supercompost doesn't reduce the amount of growth cycles - the amount stays the same, but supercompost changes the chances on what happens during the growth cycles: growth/next cycle, disease, and possible cure itself from disease or a 'do nothing' option. Erm the second bit fair enough. But the first bit you have AGREED with what I stated. I said its a myth that wrong planting time slows you down. What slows you down is disease making you lose cycles; if you read my post further you will see I clarify that it seems disease resets you to the start of a growth stage. Which is exactly what you have said. No I meant you can also plant a seed halfway into a growth cycle, it will take half a growth cycle until it grows. If you had planted it at the end of that very same growth cycle, it would take less time for the plant to grow for the first time. This is also what sometimes makes your herbs not finish growing all at the same time, you just planted the first few herbs in a different growth cycle than the last few. I don't think this has anything to do with disease, of course that's a factor too and it probably resets growth cycles too, but it's not the only factor.
  22. Also, I'd like to add that, from experience, growth cycles apparently reset when you log in/out (I think it's logging in). Ever been at a patch with a herb in it's final stage, logging in every 10 minutes or so to check if it's done already? It may take quite a while for the herb to finally grow if you do this, which led me to think logging in/out might reset your growth cycles. I tried it and was actually able to force a herb to stay in the final stage for over an hour. I have two theories on growth cycles; one assumes all crops have the same growth cycle length of 5 minutes, and some crops just need to complete multiple growth cycles to advance to the next stage. Another theory is that all crops have their own growth cycle of 5/20/240 minutes etc. Either way requires a small chance of a plant curing itself from disease, since sometimes all herbs will be grown and harvestable but one of them will be stuck in it's 1st/2nd stage and diseased. I also believe paying the farmer to protect your crops doesn't actually remove the chance of the plant getting diseased, but rather that the farmer cures the plant if it does. This would explain significantly shorter growth times if you supercompost the crop even when you pay the farmer, as opposed to not composting at all and paying the farmer. I believe what hohto said about growth cycles is right, and that for example herbs need 3/4 growth cycles of 20/15 minutes each to fully grow - I think it's 20 minutes but I'm not entirely sure. I haven't done tests on death rates or such, but everything you compost has a death rate of 10-15% so that could mean all crops have the same chance to die.
  23. I tried this method for a bit, but didn't quite get the luring down. I wonder, if you get there and either of the 3 demons has wandered so far off you can trap them on the right side of the rock anymore, should you hop? Because I didn't even once manage to get the most western demon into the right spot, either some fail was fighting it at the entrance or it would get stuck on the wrong side of the rock. Fighting the two eastern demons demons did go pretty well even though the luring takes a little longer since you have to run all the way around the big rock, but that got messed up a few times by the western demon wandering near and getting stuck in an annoying place. Any way to fix this or do you just hop until you find a perfect empty world? Oh got them lured now, works pretty well. It just didn't manage to spot the middle north demon respawning a few times, but that takes practice I guess. In an empty world with the demons wandering around randomly the luring isn't that hard. Nice guide
