By the way, in case anyone is wondering about the scale on the space map, it screwed up a bit. I'm going by 40 pixels = 1 light year.

Try to use hide tags for large pictures [hide=title]Text or image goes here][/hide] Also, are you going with the shaded planet idea? Because that makes more sense, with the race adapting over millions of years to gain resistance to the cold and translucent skin.

You'll need to pick a system to start on as well. Choose any of the systems from the first post that do not already have somebody in, and have at least one Earthlike planet for you to start on. I dispatch two Eos ships and a Rhadamanthus class ship to colonise Ema Quartus IV. List of planets I own: Zypherius, Sega-Res Orojike, Sega-Res Dowari, Sinabo Ayuaro, Sinabo

Two years developing general hot fusion, five(I think) more years to make small less efficiant versions. And they're not bateries, they're generators. If you mean the ZPMs they're done January 23. Those generators must cost a lot to make/fuel if they produce that much energy that easily. Also, Hex, I don't see how a nanobot can act as a spy camera without being able to have very, very efficient data storage.

You have too many long term research projects going on. They're eating your budget and forcing you to have a fail infrastructure/military, so you rely on Mather to protect you. Speaking of which, Mather, how long were you researching that battery thing for? Don't ignore the question this time. Also, Hex, I think you mean quantum computing. 30 years would do it, but it still wouldn't be 1 terrabyte on 5 atoms. Thanks for reminding me of quantum computing, I meant to do that ages ago. I guess I can throw 20b a year into that for 15 years and get it, after all, I do have some of the most advanced computers in the game (I think Doom has the only other computers that rival mine) so I can research things like that faster than normal.

Basically Mather. Thats why its taken like 20 years. The parts which weren't used in Mechos needed to be removed while the other parts needed to be ordered and then code needed to be made which automatically randomised the traits while keeping them in the correct places.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
The bad/useless traits have already been taken out, that was part of the project. You can't just randomise the data, because then you would end up messing the mind up. The part which was supposed to control the toe would end up controlling the eyes or something.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Basically, its like variation in humans except with machines. It identifies different traits and mixes and matches them from the already uploaded minds I have. In humans, a child would have some traits from both parents. With data splicing I can recreate this.

So how long did you spend researching it Mather? I never saw you saying you were beggining research, and something like that would cost quite a bit/ take a fair amount of time. Also, some updates of mine. Another three shipyards are going to be built, two in Sinabo, one in Sega-Res. I'm shifting production of Hyperion to two shipyards instead of one, meaning it will be done in another four years (Each shipyard will produce peices, they'll be transported to another one then joined.) However, this also means that production of one Cataclysm ship must be postponed. In another 3 years, Cataclysm V, VI and VII will be complete. Rhadamanthus VII, VIII, IX, X and XI will be finished. And from now on they will no longer be numbered since its just confusing, I'll just say the amount that I have. Nerexcite seems to have no special properties, its just strongly radioactive. Its use is very limited, and the only use I can find for it is coating my ships to prevent hijacking/sabotage. Data splicing in 5 years, space elevator construction begins in 3 years. I'm going to put 40 billion a year into building large cities on my planets, to provide homes for the huge population burst I'm going to have when data splicing is finished. The homes will be built quickly and efficiency, and are all four room cube shaped houses arranged in the most orderly and efficient fashion possible

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
T'was fun while it lasted. Off to greener pastures soon (Aion once I get my hands on money for a new computer) Ciao.

Wait how long did you take to research that? Also, you said you weren't making anymore stargate tech. The properties of that picture tell me that it came from stargate wiki.

Welcome Back. Oh yeah, I did actually mean to create a few more systems, sorry about that. I'll generate 5 new systems now.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
I'm only selling them to allies/NWO members. Also, note, they require ARC cannons to reproduce, so its frankly impossible to reverse engineer, since there is nothing to actually rverse engineer inside them, just regular target systems, a large battery and the ARC cannons.

I concur. So, I can PM Sere/Dungeon/any of my allies saying "I sneak up to Hex/Mather/Whoever I happen to be fighting's planet and then reveal myself in orbit" That kinda messes up war mechanics.

The harvester ship with absurd armour was built and dove straight into the neasrest gas giant. Large rocks containing a new metal [/bandwagon] have been found, early tests of this material show it to be highly radioactive, with its main radiation being Beta, with an average stability and a fairly long half life (550 years or so from very early analysis) It will be used instead of Plutonium 239 on the inner coating of my ship. I'm calling it Nerexcite. Other uses (If there are any, it seems to be a rather bland metal, average conductivity, average durability, slight magnetivity) are being looked into now.

... Did you seriously just report him for that?

Cheese wire is essentially that. Except I don't think any kind of wire would just be able to cut through metal unless it was on a cycle (Like a chainsaw of wire)

Actually real techs that do that in mere minutes have been made, although the quantity isn't big enough for consumer products. The same place can also make small diamonds out of burned toast. Yeah, I meant on a large scale. I know the place you're talking about. Hex, monomolecular wire is just impossible. I did a lot of research on that when I first watched Hellsing, since I wanted to know if it was possible in real life. As it turns out, its not. Whichever anchor you use on the end would snap the wire in half due to its weight, no matter how small, there would be no realistic way to control it and it would basically shred everything on the battlefield (Including your own ships) And you can't just superheat graphite, you have to put huge, huge, huge amounts of pressure on it as well as superheating it.

Or better yet, not piss him off at all. Something tells me there's more to gain by staying on his good side than preparing for him to attack. Previously organic polymers are possible, polymer means several-molecule, what we refer to as a polymer is ussualy plastics which are made from hydry-carbons(oil) which again once was living things. Hydrocarbons. Which is [X]CH4 I think. I don't think there is currently any way to convert organic mass into hydrocarbons. Also, I believe that around 90% of plastics on the market come from oil? About the mirror thing. The laser would generate such intense heat that a mirror wouldn't really work, unless it can maintain its shine at several thousand degrees celsius. Or, I can just use the heavy railguns to break the mirror. So in short, a giant mirror would just waste time and money. Also, I personally love the idea of monomolecular wire, but it just doesn't work, the wires would just flow with whichever way the breeze was going, and would likely break apart in the first second of use. PS. Biologicaly entity with mechanical parts = Cyborg. I think for a machine with biological parts/functions, its an android.

2 Cataclysm ships, 3 Rhadamanthus ships. They're almost immune to your drones/jumper ships, so don't get any ideas, and they wont attack you for now anyway. Hex, Mechos is my race name, you'll need to get a different one. Also, converting living organic material into a polymer is crazy. Couldn't you come up with your own race, thats original, makes sense and doesn't break any laws of physics or have some kind of horrible weakness? Some kind of pterodactyl humanoid type creature for instance?

Edit: Screw it, I'm having a 15% growth rate after data splicing, since Dusty can get 600m people in a few years. ARC stands for nothing, its just in caps for [cabbage]s n' giggles. Its a high powered laser.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Ah yes, data splicing in 6 more years. After that, my growth rate will be 7%, which I think is reasonable due to the whole "Creating minds/bodies and putting the two together" thing.

To expand something to that size, you would need to be producing a gas/foam. And foam comes from gas+liquid. Your expendoballs would do almost nothing to stop missiles. Mathers idea is better, but it would make them a lot more expensive and if somebody seiged you, it would run out quickly.

...Killerwatt, Dusty decided to declare war out of boredom I think. Dusty, I hope you are joking about attacking britanniae, and I assume you are, since you were one of the players I thought least likely to ignore the war mechanics. Also, my robots don't have any religion. Hex, I've already told you. This chemical reaction would take far too long, and considering it must be rather light (95% gas to be able to expand that much?), they wouldn't do much at all to stop missiles really. Back to the drawing board. Anyways, I'm going to build another 2 space stations in Sega-Res, and 2 in Sinabo. I'm still producing Helios orbs, hoping to have 3000 of them by the time Cataclysm V, VI, VII and VIII are complete. Ah yes, Hyperion is 1/11

[hide=Hyperion class ships][/hide] The armour will be made of tungsten-titanium, there will be a coating of plutonium on the inside of the ship, severely limiting the amount of time biological life is able to stay aboard. They will take 11 years each to build Killerwatt, can you choose one of the systems that isn't inhabited yet? The bottom four are reserved for new players anyway.
