Wow, so I guess the warfare system went to hell. Grim: "GRIM SMASH. GRIM NO DO TACTICS. GRIM STRROOOOONNNGGG" Mather: "[Arguing about nuclear fusion/fission and when it was started for two pages], I SECRETLY REVEAL 2000 SHIPS IN YOUR SYSTEM!" Dusty: "I'll protect Mather because I'm bored. Lol." Honest to god Grim, you need to learn some tactical thinking. I placed warships outside his system and began to negotiate peace, then you jump in and try to kill everything without even considering the reprecussions. You also used no tactical pattern/planning whatsoever. Alrighty. Mather, dropping moleculare activity to zero results in absolute zero temperatures which would almost surely kill anything on board and take a [bleep]ton of power to use. My other space station is now finished. Elysium has finished its reconstruction in Sega-Res, and my shipyard parts have been reassembled as well. I think I now have 5 shipyards and Elysium. 3 of those shipyards will be producing a Cataclysm ship every 4 years, 2 shipyards will be building harvesters. Elysium will be building my flagship, The Hyperion. Finding other ways around doing almost the same thing without breaking any physical laws, that's what bypassing them means. Lol! I thought you meant "Skip past physics", which would be impossible. Finding another way to obtain the same effect is fine, as long as it doesn't use SUBSPACE FOAM to power things or anything that includes stargate in any way shape or form.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
You can't really bypass physics. Especially you guys, because you would come up with stupid tech, as you've already demonstarted countless times. Kirby, I don't think thats allowed.

I denied the Zhoreuc treaty, so I DO NOT have any land on that planet. I have obtained Orojike in Sega-Res, and Ayuaro and Dowari in the Sinabo system. Also, Hex, laws of physics don't change. The chances of them being proven wrong is next to nil. If you start on this "Breakthrough" BS again, I'm just going to start researching a black hole cannon because these "New" physics allow that.

Only due to the fallout, which means fusion nukes are fine and dandy. The power they provide needs to be balanced though, so the cost was adjusted to a lot higher than it would be. Edit. For some reason I mistook the bottom part of your post for part of your signature :???: Lets just say, that for all intents and purposes, a planet would not be destroyed by crashing spaceships into it. It would just be heavily damaged. Or make a treaty preventing people from crashing goddamn spaceships into peoples faces. Either one works for me.

"Planet Buster" weapons are illegal.

Hex, No, it isn't. That ball idea sucks. Edit: Mather, what? You do realise how much hydrogen is involved in fusion at every given second in a star? You would need a bomb the size of a bus to hold enough hydrogen to even get close to the same power as a star, and even then, it would be pathetically weak compared to said star.

Sorry Hedge, but I think I made them feel stupid enough anyway for not noticing that they were being hit by water. Trol, I concur.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
That still doesn't change the whole situation where those balls actually cause equal amounts of harm to what the missile itself would have caused. Plus, a 10 second chemical reaction to make a ball that is like 20 cm across to 2m across is actually rather fast. Making it any faster is just stupid. The ball idea sucks. You can keep it if you want, but its not providing any advantages. Hedgehog - Hydrogen + Oxygen = Water. You're essentially firing waterbombs at them. Also, I just realised, I only have about 7 days until my population moves to Sega-Res. Britannia can now officially buy Aether. As much stuff as possible has been disassembled and sent to Sega-Res along with my population.

You wont sell it/use it at all. I think we agreed that it makes no sense a few pages back.

I think everybody who gave a damn has already read all about your race. 90% of the information you just posted was redundant :???:

Hide tags, please... Also, I believe you need to do a bit of research for lasers first.

Meh, I'm all for variety. Sounds a little strange though, will it be used for warfare? First shipment of chemicals has returned from the gas giants in Sega-Res, leading me to believe I should only leave two harvesting chemicals and the rest should harvest minerals, as they're farther away. I'm building a highly armoured cargo ship (5 meters thick, will cost around 120 billion total) to dive into a gas giant and look around for a while. Hell, I might find something new. (Note: There should be a limit on the amount of new substances discovered, say, 1 per player every 10 years after this point. It doesn't matter so much since no overpowered substances have appeared yet, but still.)

Hex. YOU SPECIFICALLY STATED (TWICE) THAT YOU WANTED MECHANISED PRODUCTION. Anyways, I'm going to go ahead and start research of an idea Sere/Dungeon suggested to me like a week ago: ARC rifles. Research will be conducted to convert it into a small enough form to fit into a handheld gun. It will use the same batteries that powered my old Exobreaker suits.

I want to kill you so badly right now. Also, what the hell goes above sentient? Demigods? What?

.... You said you were going to. You just reduced your research time by six years. You can't do that, you already said 40, and its staying at 40. You can't just magically move your research forward 6 years. I raged so hard at your incredible ability to fail at basic maths while playing a game that requires a fair bit of maths.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
NOW, FOR 1 MILLION POUNDS, WHAT IS 40 - 4. ITS 36. You still don't get what I'm saying. YOU ARE GOING TO RESEARCH A SUITABLE PRODUCTION METHOD AFTER THE AI RESEARCH IS DONE. THAT RESEARCH WILL TAKE 30 YEARS. Now, for your life, what is 36 (Time to research AI) + 30 (Time to research a mechanical race production method AFTER AI is complete).
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
No, no, no. Let me explain this in the simplest terms possible, so you MIGHT be able to understand it. 36 more years of research for your AI, that will eat your budget for THIRTY SIX years. 30 years for your production method research. This will eat your budget for THIRTY YEARS. NOW, WHAT IS 30+36? ITS 66! *Clapclapclapclap* Also, you got your damn population wrong. Again. 10m*1.04^4 (Although as pies stated, this could very well be incorrect.) = 11.7m, rounded up. THAT IS YOUR POPULATION. LRN2BASICMATHS
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
What? Research still takes budget. Your research will eat your budget for the next 66 years, without production. Also, you misunderstood what I meant by production. I meant production as in researching a way to produce more people. Also, you need to calculate growth rate like this I think: [Population]*[Growth rate]^[Days since last calculated] = Current population
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
36 years for the AI, which already eats a lot of your budget, then another 30 for the production which also eats your budget. That equals 66. Also. 10,000,000 x 1.05^4 does not equal 1,400,000. Hex, you're forgetting that there is very, very little air resistance in space, your defense balls would likely INCREASE the damage done to your own forces. Ball shape attached to missile on planet surface = Air resistance slows it down, impact is lessened. Ball shape attached to a missile in space = Low air resistance, not slowed much at all, 2 metre wide ball of hard material hits your forces at speed.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Wouldn't those things be like, totally and utterly useless? That chemical reaction (And I assume it is a chemical reaction) would take about 10 seconds at the least, by which time the missile has gone past it. You get 4% increase a year, not sure if thats accurate, but it seems fair. Also, correction, you have 66 years without a budget.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
And I suppose that will eat up about 75% of your budget for 30 years? Not very tactical, is it. EDIT: In fact, no, you still have like 27(?) years on AI research, so 57 years where you have a hugely reduced budget.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
I've been researching mechanised reproduction for a good 15 years now, because really, being able to mass produce your citizens is just a little overpowered. That research also has another 7 years to go, so it was 22 years for me, and it will probably be more for you. Also, a race entirely based on AI wont work, there needs to be free will in there somewhere, because otherwise you can make up BS like "My race works for free, I get everything I tax and don't need labour costs" I assume it will take longer for you due to the lower budget. Can you make up for freaking mind already? ..... Yeah, one more thing. If somebody doesn't respond to a question the first time, TRY MAKING IT CLEARER, DON'T COPYPASTE IT 3 TIMES. ITS ALREADY IN THE GODDAMNED RULES ANYWAY, LEARN TO READ.

Nexetras is reserved for new players, I think. Otherwise, I would have taken the desert planet in it by now <_<

Bleh, generic daily update time. Two more shipyards are finished, one in the Sinabo system, one in Sega-Res, the other one in the Sinabo system is due tommorow. Sinabo yard will produce 300 Helios orbs over the next two years to ensure that it is well-defended. Rhadamanthus VII and VIII produced, cataclysm V (3/4), Another harvester produced... 11 of my 16 harvesters have been sent to the rocky planet that I own in Sinabo, the others have been sent to a gas giant in Sega-Res. They'll gather mineral and chemical supplies for me. Project Ares cancelled again, too innefficient to use, realised I was ripping off about seven different TV shows/Games/Movies.... Just for the record, it was Orbital Frames, like seen in Zone of the Enders, and some other shows. The funding that was to be used on it will instead go towards space elevator research and construction, which should be done in another 4 years? Construction will take about 4 years as well, but I'll build one on Orojike, Zypherius and both my Sinabo planets, all at the same time.
