  1. lol - It's original definition was "Laughing out loud" (also written occasionally as "Lots of Laughs"), used as a brief acronym to denote great amusement in chat conversations. (www.urbandictionary.com) Does this word even mean anything anymore? It's used so many times ingame that it's beggining to lose all meaning. Sometimes I wonder; if a person replies with the word lol to you after you finish a sentence, are they amused with it? Or are they just too damn lazy to type out a proper reply? It's like: Hey, my cat died. Lol. Anybody else had experiences with this word? + I'm not sure if this should be in Questionnares or not. :S
  2. I try to limit my friends list to people I know in real life & people who I can relate to, not some idiot who says "lol" to every comment. I usually delete people I've recently met 10 minutes after I add them.
  3. 1438/94 (15.2) I always thought once I reached the level 90 combat mark I'd be elite, but I guess I'll have to see what happens at level 100. : Wouldn't it be more fair to divide somebody's total experience by their combat level, considering once you get higher levels in stats you need more exp to level.
  4. A little bit of coding errors in one of the paragraphs (forgot ), one of the [/hide] tags is missing. Other than that nice idea.
  5. Hadn't noticed that, thanks  . Guide has been updated. I wasn't referring to using logs on each individual beacon, I meant that you cannot pass a step if you use a mixed variety of logs on one beacon.
  6. All Fired Up Start Point: King Roald (Varrock Castle) Required: Skills: - 43 Firemaking Quests: - Priest in Peril Items: - Tinderbox - Axe (any kind) or 45 logs of the same type (eg. 45 Willows, 45 Oaks, ect.) [hide=Walkthrough]1. (No items required) Talk to King Roald in Varrock castle, he will tell you that the southern kingdoms of RuneScape have decided to set up a new warning system running from Paterdomous to the western border of the Wilderness. He will direct you to a man named Blaze, who is a tiny bit south of Paterdomous. 2. (Bring 20 Logs/axe & a tinderbox for this step) Run east of Varrock (through the gates near the Earth Altar) & up in front of the temple overlooking the river. Go a little bit south of here & you will see Blaze. Talk to him & he will explain how the new warning system works. It involves lighting beacons, but they need to be tested first, this is where you come in. Blaze will ask you to put 20 logs of the SAME type into the beacon & light it with a tinderbox. You can either cut the trees that are nearby the beacon, but a faster method is to just bring the logs with you. THIS WILL NOT WORK IF YOU USE A "MIXED" VARIETY OF LOGS, THEY HAVE TO BE THE SAME TYPE! Use your logs with the beacon & then your tinderbox, a large flame will erupt. 3. (Bring 20 logs/axe & a tinderbox for this step) Speak to Blaze after lighting the beacon, he will direct you the a beacon a little west of your current position, to check whether he can see that beacon once you light it. Make your way down the road you came & go up the northern path & past the limestone mines. Once you reach the quest start point of Rag & Bone Man, you will find a path going east. Up here you will find the beacon Blaze was speaking of. Light this in the same way you lit the other one (requires 20 logs aswell. Bring your own or cut) & you will create another large flame. 4. (Bring 5 logs/axe for this step) Go back to Blaze. He will say that he could see the beacon's flame perfectly. He will then ask you to refuel the beacon he is manning, as the flame has gotten smaller since your last visit. Do this by simply using 5 logs (cut or bring your own) on the lit beacon, & it will be back to it's flaming glory in no time. Talk to Blaze again, & he will tell you to go see the King for your reward. 5. (No items required) Report back to the King of your success. After a short discussion he will give you your reward.[/hide] Rewards: - 1 Quest Point - 5,500 Firemaking Experience - 22,000 GP - Access to the All Fired Up Minigame By F0rerunn3r
  7. RuneScape is looked down upon by most people (sometimes for no reason at all). I don't see what's wrong with it, the graphics have been greatly improved, all that's left is the movement. At most, the only reason anybody should look down upon RS is the movement & command system.
  8. Mouse & keyboard maybe, but I get a feeling they'll have shoddy workmanship. I doubt anybody will buy this stuff. :ohnoes:
  9. Hope I can do it, just got 60 Firemaking to unlock balloon routes. I hope the update makes firemaking feel like a skill & not a repetitive clicking sequence.
  10. Lots of people into mining. 70% of the people I meet in game hate the skill..
  11. Wowzers. Think of all the possibilities, the PK world could turn into a fully fledged strategy game. I think Jagex exaggerated with the 99% of the map thing, I think Lumbridge should stay as a safespot (it is a noob's paradise after all. :D ).
  12. PKers are happy, Skillers are happy, & I get to try PKing for the first time. Everybody is happy (except for the merchants.).
  13. They look great. I used them for a while when they first came out, but then I found out that the signature limits had increased to 100Kb, so I'm back to my old Roxas siggy (KH ftw).
  14. Dang, Jagex is going to extremes to get the the old PKer crowd back. :-# Yay, more quests! (Free exp  )
  15. Some idiot might consider this spam, but I think I speak for most of us when I say: 'Bout time.
  16. Like how we can customise them, gonna do that when I have the time.
  17. I pronounce Tiranwn Ti-Ruh-Noon. Ardougne Ar-Dug-Nee. (not sure if that's right, but meh)
  18. War Tortoise Examine. :D "Definetely not teenaged, but the jury is out on its' ninja skills." (Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles reference :P)
  19. Mining does need some sort of update. Unless Jagex are apealling to idiots, they should add a creative & effective way to train it, instead of [Click. Rock. Duh. Click. Rock. Duh.].
  20. This is probably.. the GREATEST GUIDE TO EVER BE POSTED ON THE INTERNET (& you havn't even finished it yet.. If the steel titan is 900/5, then this guide is INFINITE/10.   Awesome work.
  21. You're a RuneScape geek when you fall asleep in class & say "I was lagging!".
  22. Hit the nail on the head with that one. I also hat when you click somewhere on RuneScape, & your character moves in 8 other directions before moving to the desired point. -.-
  23. 9/10 10/10 once they change how we move.
