  2. I made a post, but I can't post the images here as it says "thsi image extension is not allowed on the forums", so I dont know where to post the images :) imageshack, tinypic, photobucket Don't use TinyPic, they remove pictures like a [bleep] for no reason. Use Min.Us, it's easier to use and fast (No account needed, just drag n' drop the picture onto the website and it's uploaded. I know how to upload pictures and where to upload them, lol. It's a tip.it issue. Thanks otherwise :)

  4. i was seriously never nervous when one of their group (or all of them) attacked me. guys like bs_arkan and snake_slava always had catch on me so I would have to actually do a good run for it. but the asian cats were just really entertaining, lol.
  5. Glad to be of service. Say hi to the Falador bar maid upstairs for me. lol, oh you! i swear to god we weren't cybering..
  6. hehe speaking of new runes there was this one guy named Lord Me who posted on the old official forums that he was buying ALL new runes (including cosmics) for 1k each. I couldn't believe it so I contacted him ingame, had about 300 mixed new runes only since they were hard to come by and we were only a few days into the release of them. Anyway he bought all of them for 300k and I nearly creamed myself. There was duping going on at the time and I was 50% sure that I was recieving duped cash, but I saw no reason to ask given the fact that I would never find out anyway. I than offered to become his sole supplier in order to make sure that he wouldn't post any more ads about buying new runes for an utterly obscene price on any forums. I still don't get why or how he could afford to buy them at 1k each. The only runes I didn't make much money off of were laws, since people sold them high due to the fact that everyone was getting into teleporting. Anyway I than took up to buying from other ppl at my own "obscene" price, doubling what they were asking if they could meet immediately etc (500-600g). This other dude named Bankrobber2 also bought new runes for 1k each. Coincidentally they both disappeared within a week of our first transaction and I've never heard of them since. I still get sad when I think about them disappearing, and I'm pretty sure those 2 dudes were up to something with new runes since it would be physically impossible to make a profit given the price they already had paid for the rune. Unless it were natures and they had figured out how to dupe addy plates (14k or 16k high alch value back than). But they bought ALL new runes hmm. thats some hardcore nostalgia right there that u brought back for me matt, lol ill never forget these 2 ppl since they made me so damn rich at a time where owning millions were reserved for people like skone751, bluerose and her steel corp affiliates, mysticsmagic and some other uber elites. even dudes like alchemon and sandytrain had to camp greaters to make cash for food i love you bankrobber2 and lord me  (used to lol about the fact that a guy with seemingly infinite cash was named bankrobber)
  7. Hum, not really. There have always been highly efficient players and I think the majority of RS'ers strive to do things the best that they can. The goofing around bit is Runescape on a personal level, really ;)
  8. the mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm bug. funniest bug ever.
  9. I know that Meili frequents the forums still, and how nice to see some old "faces" :)
  10. No, I don't
  11. But as far as eating goes I never found it irritating in fights, one could spam click food and eat up to 4 slots before a monster/player could attack you again. In all honesty I disliked eating in combat when rs2 came out hehe. Also while pking you could prevent your opponent from eating by quickly retreating and re-clicking attack, increasing chances of a 3 hit!
  12. Nah. Gen Discussion focuses mainly on the current trends. Lately the trend has been to focus on botting in general :) When a new topic pops up there will be made posts about that, and thats pretty much how gen discussion works hehe.
  13. Probably people looking to write an essay. Runescape is free. Obviously there will be more throwaway bots compared to WoW. Also, Jagex sucks at banning bots. With that said, I'm sure its safe to say that the majority of bots found by searching "bots + runescape" are riddled with malware and keyloggers which goes along with being free. WoW bots are significantly more upscale and intricate and therefore tend to cost money. Chances are that there is malware in WoW bots is just as high though.
  14. When writing in "bots" I got bots acclaim bots game bots download bots 1.6 bots acclaim download (what the hell is acclaim anyway?) bots for cs 1.6 bots online weird because I've never played CS on my laptop and I've had it for 3 yrs now lol
  15. Don't see why you are putting FF into this argument than, seeing as the film made an obscene amount of money. So wether or not it flopped doesn't really matter to a group of investors. Just don't watch it if you're certain of the outcome beforehand.
  16. Sounds like an exciting endeavour. I don't see how one person with ties to Goldmann-Sachs can make it a negative thing.
  17. we never met or knew eachother but i always lol'ed when i saw [racist term] frank because i know a black guy named frank that cracks me up all the time
  18. We need to rename this thread "what bothers me the most about tip.it" hahaha..
  19. lol I agree and admit that I've grown a little tired of every update on the runescape.com website craving its own topic here
  20. Knowing more about in-game efficiency in no way makes you a better moderator on a forum. Moderating tip.it forums has little to nothing to do with playing Runescape. It is the members of the community who are to point out who is wrong and who is right with regards to in-game discussions. It is up to the moderator to determine wether or not the messages relayed to one another are being conveyed in a civil manner. And that's the moderators job. A moderator can of course give their own input as a member of the community but their word cannot in any way be held in higher regard than another users when discussing in-game information. That would be wrong on way too many levels. With that said, if there were to be a forum for "metagamers" on tip.it it would be advisable if appointed moderators were users which frequented the mentioned corner of the forums. Just like Falador Tavern for example, which I personally never visit, has its own mods, since they hang around there alot.
  21. lol noob. cover the modem with a pillow to muffle sounds
  22. Why do you assume that I have a "group"? Possibly because it is blatantly obvious. I doubt it is meant in a negative context though.
  23. And thus, she talked about inevitable failure, inadvertently. I don't get where you're coming from. One person is re-telling the history of the forums and the actions of others who have strived to create successful forums, feeding off of tip.it's member pool, and ultimately the consequences thereof. But its nice to see that you can read between the lines and foresee a failure before it occurs. There is a german word, schadenfreude. To take pleasure in the failure or ill-being of another. This isn't what Meili and I are doing or are hoping happens. We are merely telling what has happened in the past and voicing our scepticism over the current situation. As for interpreting it into a failure, you are free to do what you will, but understand our skepticism and where we are coming from since you now know.
  24. Yes, you did. Not explicitly, but you did. You know something is wrong when a huge, self proclaimed troll (Gollvelius) isn't banned, when helpful members of the community are. What she is talking about is that stonecold fact that people have attempted countless times to make a forum derivation off of tip.it because of squabbles with mods or having other agenda's. Some had even been mildly successful, having hundreds of users and existing for over a year. But none of them exist today. You and the other guy brought up the word failure, my friend. But give it a month or two and alot of people will be forced to come to terms with reality. Was fun when every 2nd person had an Avidgamers forum.
  25. Sorry, somebody beat you to the punch 9 years ago lol. On topic I would give him/her the hour off and order him to log into real life, the poor thing.
