Yeah that's true. I remember santas being over 40mil because there was nothing else for rich players to spend their money on. So thus an increased demand. So now they update and here is the godly GS. People sell their rares to get a cash pile for one, and there is a bigger supply and less demand. Rares will eventually climb back up, but it won't be any time soon if Jagex keeps cranking out the new item updates.

I don't think rares will ever disappear from the game completely. You will have people that know they are never coming back, and do the drop party thing. I don't see RS lasting long enough for rares to be gone. And from what I understand Jagex hates rares, so I don't see them putting them back into the game. (Which I think is stupid these holiday items should be a reward for loyal players, only problem is people stockpiling the things, surely that could be stopped though.) Also the cracker is an insane amount of money and you can't even equip it. Any ideas how many there are left in the game that are active?

Exactly what I was thinking - with the wilderness long gone they need stable new media to entice people to start playing, keep playing, and ultimately upgrade to p2p. Would you guys drop this already? Seriously. It's 9 months later, this is starting to be ridiculously pathetic. Any company, any video game wants MORE PLAYERS, despite any updates or players quitting or players coming into the game. FTP got the Rune crafting guild because Jagex decided they should. Maybe it's the last of the recent FTP updates, maybe there's more to come. Personally, I think ofrah's theory is the correct one. Sorry but they have a pretty good point. I never did pvp much, but it was one of the most widely used things in f2p. And it was hella fun when I went out and did it with friends because at most you would lose maybe 200k? Alot of people left after that they found out the wildy was gone and wasn't coming back. (But I do agree it had to be done. And so far nothing has replaced it just yet.)

Think about it, if Jagex was wanting to market towards new players why do it with a guild alot of the f2p players can't even access. Either they were pushing for players who have constantly played f2p and never moved up to p2p. Not to mention f2p was just so different from p2p. I remember when I first got members I was like wtf do I do. There was just so much. It was almost another game to me, I think they are giving f2p a better feel of what p2p is. And I think f2p is going to continue to get updates for awhile, until numbers in the server build back up again. (Seems rather empty to me, maybe it's just because of more worlds?) I think Rarex works for Jagex :ohnoes:

You seen discussion on f2p in the other forum. And yes you open crap threads like these that are unneeded all the time. Probably right, the only way you will ever make money off of fm is if you can someone alter weapons or projectiles with it. Which I doubt will ever happen. Firemaking is an out of date skill.

What combat level do you effectively start killing the KBD and get quite a few kills per trip? I'm 96 atm, but if I get members I might take a stab at trying to get rich quick for the draconic visage. Never soloed only killed him with a 3 man team.

is their a need to? Yeah that kind of would be overkill. Once it gets low enough I think demand will set the price for a long time. It will probably soon stabilize after it gets so low, and shoots up. Man I can remember when me and my friend would joke about noobs walking around with Guthans and it won't be long and it will happen :lol:

I think he is fine the way he is like someone mentioned earlier we need variety of bosses. I remember my first trip up to the KBD when I was in the high 80's. It was funner than hell, it was a 3 man team and all we took was prayer robes and a few pots and lobs or swordies. For the lack of knowledge and organization I was suprised how many times we took it down. Of course didn't really get any good drops (I think we made most of the money on the hides :lol: ) , but I think the KBD is there for people who can't KQ just yet and can't have fun killing the KBD. With all the other high lvl bosses I think the KBD is just fine.

Yeah but sports can benefit you in other ways, and who knows you could get to the top and get paid playing a game if you work at it (Odds are very unlikely though). Then the scholarships chances are even greater, I have a friend and she is in the same grade as me (Jr.) who already has a full ride to a college (Very good college around here, its called Lyon doubt anyone has heard of it though) and she isn't incredibly gifted she just works at it harder than most people. I almost quit basketball going into my Sophomore year of high school, but I'm glad I've kept at it. Kind of hard to explain how it benefits you, it's something you have to go do yourself.

You're so 1337 I wish I could be just like you. :roll: I don't think they are undervalued. Everyone and their mom is doing Barrows. Now that bunyips and such are out that is making for less demand so people are forced to sell for less. As far as Karil's and Ahrim's I'm not sure why they are so low. But now I think Verac's is easily the most useful set. Unless I decide to buy a rare if I ever get members again, I'll probably buy Guthans, Dh, and Veracs. Maybe Ahrim's if I raise my nooby mage level. :lol: Someone before mentioned buying 7k sharks would be better than buying Guthans. I would have to disagree, depending on the amount of time you had the set, not to mention you aren't going to get that amount of free inventory space.

Well I guess if you play everyday and can check, although im really getting tired of seeing these topics every time an item increases or decreases. No kidding you don't have to check with tif before making an "investment" move. And in your case you might need to check with someone, wtf buying limps when they are high? Thats when you sell. :wall:

I used to no life ALOT, but I hardly every play runescape for an hour straight anymore. I grew up, other things become more important to me, and I got a truck so I could leave the house be back at a certain time and my parents wouldn't be on my [Censored] (They are pretty strict sometimes, but I guess its for my own good (grounded atm #-o )). I guess there is nothing wrong with it as long as you stay healthy and whatnot. But I imagine for 99% of people the game will wear off eventually. I think one of the things that really made me sit back and think is.... Think about the amount of time you've invested in the game that gives nothing back, now if it is quality fun time there is nothing wrong with it, but if it isn't fun that time could be better put to use. I got to that point were I was just GRINDING at xp to hit my goals for hours on end and it wasn't fun (I can remember some 12 hour days where I made tons of xp), I could have put my time to better use improving my shot outside shooting some hoops. Some people like myself are just shy and don't tend to socialize as much, but for yourself just try going out to town or something on the weekend and makes some friends if you don't find it as fun go back to your routine, but I found going out to be a helluva lot more fun and making more friends is never a bad thing. Just my 2 cents though. Oh and another thing if you go out drinking be sure to be out with your friends who will take care of you if you do get wasted, and be sure to sleep it off the next morning before you drive home. Just more marketing to f2p for get to get p2p. I remember a year or two ago we went a whole year without anything changing except holiday updates.

Yeah he is right, this was very recently implemented. When I first read this I thought he was talking about the ads on top of the page. But yesterday when I went to log in Firefox blocked 2 pop ups.

+1 I don't know about p2p but f2p is getting to where it is quite empty since there are so many worlds now. I know GE is out, but often I don't see a soul in Fally west bank.

I never get pop ups, and pop ups are usually a sign you have a problem... You might want to start running scans and see what you can find. I don't ever get pop ups, but I get those stupid banner ads that lag everytime I change. All you have to do (I use Firefox not sure if it works with IE) you wait until an ad is about to change (Should see the bar in the bottom right) and click stop the banner ad will become black, and no more lag. \ :thumbsup:

I doubt they lost that many. I think Jagex is updating f2p to give them a taste of what the members benefits are like. It appears to be working too, I've never seen f2p so empty. I'm currently f2p and alls I would like is more bankspace. :(

GS will probably fall sooner than most think, unless the merchanters have something to do with it. It seems to me quite a bit of people do GWD that the supply is going to increase sometime. Only time will tell I guess.
