Sagaie + antifire shield should work as a viable alternative, just that they'll be slightly less accurate. If protect magic and regular antifires together don't work you might want to cancel the task if you're deadset on using a bow.

ZS and SS are both great for stab/crush (at least I think SS is still crush), and they're both under 2m afaik. Failing which Guthan's spear and Verac's Flail/Torag's Hammer make viable alternatives.

How exactly do you calculate the average damage ? It's half your max hit. Forgot to add that those numbers are calculated with 99 strength, which obviously favour the fast weapons more.

Maybe it's supposed to be that hard, since it got screwed over in the first place being reduced to level 60 because you had to fight it with level 25 gear. Jagex moves in odd ways.

Here's the stats that got me thinking about it. Vine whip : 720 dmg (fastest) EEE : 428 dmg (fastest) CLS : 980 dmg (fast) OH CLS : 490 dmg (fast) The crux of this is the EEE: while it's a level 70 weapon, its damage rating is currently far above its tier (should be level 89). This means that as an offhand, the EEE is actually much better than OH CLS. Unfortunately because of weird combat mechanics, if you pair a Fastest OH with a Fast mainhand, the system doesn't allow 2 damage splats to occur at the same time and slows the OH weapon down. In this case, wielding the EEE with a mainhand CLS turns the EEE into a Fast weapon, now doing less damage than the OH CLS. So the EEE doesn't synergise well with CLS. Now if you use the EEE with a vine whip, both retain their Fastest attack speed so the EEE behaves like a level 89 OH weapon. From here, you can calculate that vine whip + EEE turn out a baseline average damage of 162.125 per tick compared to dual CLS at 161.9. So the EEE and vine whip combo are marginally better, given very high accuracy (e.g. slash-weak slayer task). Of course EEE gets away with its innate healing effect too, besides being non-degrading :P So it's not really about the vine whip being on par with chaotics, it's about an offhand that works much better with a weapon faster than chaotics. Keep in mind that CLS abilities will be more powerful than vine whip abilities.

Best to submit a bug report about that, unless Jagex intentionally wanted the Tormented wraith to be so hard to kill :P How about Black Knives/Darts? Being ranged weapons, those should be pretty close in terms of accuracy.

I feel like Momentum is at least a 25-30% boost, I managed a hit about 50% more than my max when using Momentum on a slayer task (with helm bonus). I guess Torment adding more magic damage on abilities is fair enough, since those don't account for 2h.

I had a sub5 QBD with ranged pre-EOC. Now it seems you can just walk in with blood blitz and beat her so hard that sub 5 is a joke. :(

Uhmmmm. The base damage that a spell goes off includes your magic level, so you have to include it when calculating max hits. The in-game tooltip is just worded badly :P

Surely you don't need Christmas decorations to be up a whole month in advance, and all those tacky Santas/reindeer etc are such an eyesore. Extending the Christmas season into the month of November also stretch it out unnecessarily, especially when students are still taking exams and all that and the decorations are screaming "IT'S CHRISTMAS LOL" TNPW post a picture of Christmas decorations already up.

Foreshadowing a random outcome in a game doesn't seem like it'd have horrible repercussions, would it?

I know, and the 50% thing is compounding my already existing problems. For example, a new problem I've just experienced today is that the game will be playing but the screen will be black other than interfaces. I could click on things through the black and interact with them as well as hear sounds and move, but the black space never restored itself, even after going to the lobby and coming back. I've had this a few times already, since around October. Usually gets solved after some time (3 minutes or so), or closing the whole game and reloading it.
