Why anyone would pay more for Ahrim's wand than a Master wand is well beyond me :P Grats on that Sparky. Also, does this make me passable at DG at last?

EoC Armour
The three main ganodermic pieces give 487.5 armour, while the three virtus pieces give 520 armour. This is about a 6.7% increase in armour (actually less since you'll already have other items like cape/gloves etc.). If you think this defence increase justifies the pricetag on virtus, then by all means go ahead :P

Probably intended to be a fun level 10 offhand, just that they classed it as Magic by accident :P

Tip.It Combat Calculator Question
Though I don't have the exact formula used for our calculator, I believe the calculation you need is: 0.4875 * Ranged OR 0.4875 * Magic OR 0.325 * Strength + 0.325 * Attack (determined by the highest of 1.5 x ranged, 1.5 x magic, or Strength + Attack) + 0.25 * Defence + 0.25 * Constitution + 0.25 * (Summoning/2) + 0.25 * (Prayer/2) This is basically the formula you gave. However, note that when calculating combat levels from Summoning and Prayer, truncate any remainder after dividing by 2. E.g. 97 Summoning would count for 12 combat levels, not 12.125, and only 98 Summoning would count for 12.25 combat levels. 97 Summoning and 97 Prayer would add together to give only 24 combat levels, but 96 Summoning and 98 Prayer would give 24.25 combat levels. Hope this answers your query.

A crossbow choice
Yeah, after reading through the other topics here I realised that Black salamander is basically a really cheap substitute for Karil's crossbow :s That'd be an excellent choice for a level 70 ranged weapon.

Rapier, or melee in general, is terrible against Akrisae and you're not churning out over 1000 every hit so you'd be wasting shots with dual wield? Idk. Binding shot sounds like a good idea, don't know why that never crossed my mind when I've been using impact on every other brother -.-

He seems to be the only brother who can hit over 1000 (except for Dharok), is his attack mage or melee based? It shows with the magic icon but I don't feel confident that his attack is magical in nature. Anyway I just skip him now, all the prayer/gear switching means this brother adds a ton of time to my trips.

Gear in Eoc
You only lose accuracy on big pieces of armour (body, legs, shield), so it's fine to mix and match the rest to skew your armour bonus in another direction.

More fun with almost zero armour. Rip Nomad. Overload expired after he died.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
Even by themselves Carapace boots come up much better than Batwing boots in terms of ranged defence. It may however be possible that wearing carapace boots would actually decrease your ranged defence than if you had worn no boots at all. Should try it out in-game to see if that's the case. If you don't have charged rune gauntlets and you're fighting a ranged creature blue vambraces would be better than batwing gloves.

Slayer drops appear to everyone immediately, but only the person who dealt the most damage (or tagged if that's the case now, whatever) gets to pick it up in the first 30 seconds. EDIT: Ambler asked how hard Troll Inavsion was now. Decided I'd try it in my signature gear. Lol

Best Aura & Chaotics with EoC?
Player Owned Ports are an upcoming update that some have dubbed Kingdom of Miscellania v2. You basically assemble your own port, ships, crew etc and have them sail on campaigns to retrieve exotic materials/recipes that you then use your production skills on to produce high-end gear. It's believed that the gear coming from PoP would extend all the way to level 99, which would make current level 80 gear look much weaker by comparison. The main aims in terms of items now should just be to cover combat styles and get the highest of a tier that you can use. You can also choose items that fulfill different setups (2h, dual wielding, or 1h + shield). For instance, 2h weapons like the godswords/chaotic maul dish out higher damage when you're constantly using abilities, but if you opt for a more relaxed slayer task using Momentum, dual wielding weapons such as the vine whip and EEE would result in higher DPS due to less overkill loss. In terms of bossing, I believe you'd want to get a shield for most bosses to get the extra armour bonuses, LP bonuses, as well as regenerative shield abilities. So assuming you're not getting chaotics just yet, you may want to just get weapons that cover each setup style. Examples include: Vine whip : level 75 1h weapon Enhanced Excalibur : level 70 offhand weapon BGS/ZS/SS : level 75 2h weapon Blessed spirit shield : level 70 melee shield

A crossbow choice
Get Karil's crossbow, better than any of the previous options mentioned. Deals more damage with abilities due to being 2h, and is a flat tier 70 weapon. Dual wielding Armadyl crossbow with a rune offhand will hamper the damage output of the armadyl crossbow (due to being limited to tier 50 ammo by the offhand), and abilities will not do as much due to the crossbow being 1h. ... However, to answer your original question, I believe Dragon 2h crossbow will have more DPS under momentum, discounting overkill.
