It's slow, but it does do some decent damage. You're better off getting a Chaotic Crossbow honestly. =X Zaryte's good if you're never expecting to get CCB, and on top of that it runs off very cheap ammunition, really. If you do want better raw damage, though, Karil's bow or a hand cannon with do better.

I'm assuming that effigy is going to be used to teach new players about the skill in some way. Given that Buthorpe is where Slayer (theoretically) begins (although, this assumes you are coming into slayer with combat < 20) this is no surprise to me. Nice pickup though, didn't even blink when I saw the flag.
