  1. Statistics speak otherwise. Remember this is compared to other page views, which is constantly rising. Page views do not equal players. Some people would now go to the site to view that G.E. database, or the Knowledge Base. Perhaps people view the page just to see if there are any updates that would interest them. For example in July. That was when the graphics update happened. Tons of players were looking forward to that, and many probably logged on to check it out. Runescape isn't holding the players in with its updates anymore. Which is why so many people cared to keep checking all those pages, and why they all payed close attention to the updates until then. They didn't necessarily pay attention to the updates because they cared about the game, but because they hoped it would go back to the norm. None of the updates now are holding most people's attention for more than the week they are released. They're all attempts to fill the void of the one thing that made Runescape great and unique. And only the people that are playing currently would bother checking the G.E. database or the Knowledge Base.

  3. Before the December 10th updates, I would always see 175,000+ people on at this time. Now I'm lucky to see 130,000. Jagex was doing something right back then, which isn't happening now.
  4. Castle Wars is currently my fourth favorite minigame and is the biggest reason why came out of my year long break from '04 to '05. People don't realize that minigames with relatively simplistic principles are always the best. I'm glad that Jagex realizes this and has not desecrated Castle Wars with these "improvements" that many people think are needed. I for one, hope that Castle Wars remains as it should be; a game of capture the flag.

I've done over 5,000 clue scrolls, and I've only gotten 3 of the specific rewards. I've probably had the same clue in my bank for 3 months. Seriously, stop doing them. They're not worth it.
  6. How much is that? 1750K, not much for hours of work, but it's a fun minigame :P. If you keep FoG'ing, I might have some competition for the highest rank on tip.it : .
  7. More like you freeze him and he slaps on Karil's and you cant touch him. And then you pull out a DDS and special him out.
  8. Why do you need free trade other than to RWT or scamming? On the plus side, there will be no more selling bad wine for 600k, no more people swapping iron scimitars for rune scimitars, ropes for abyssal whips or tarromin seeds for ranarr seeds. There will be no more luring, no more 'Jagex blocks your pass *****'. Very bloody positive indeed. People still lure, people still password scam, and people still scam. And why the hell wouldn't you want free trade? if someone wants to buy my abbysal whip for 4m, let them. Oh, wait... they can't with the limits. What about gifts for friends? Or are you too selfish and cheap to give any. See above. Indeed, see above. Now you're just being a whiny moron. RS HD was a giant step forward for RuneScape. Jagex had put a lot of effort into it and it turned out brilliantly. And as always, I'd like to see you do better. Oh no, he told me to do better. Well guess what? I can't do better because it was perfect the way it was. HD looks like some over-saturated children's story book. Hmm, you don't like my opinion? Too bad, I don't design game graphics for a living. If you're so ill-contented with me, make ME a better person, whiny moron. There was no skill involved. It always boiled down to put up stake, accept, DDS four times, switch to whip and hope for the best. And staking is compulsive gambling, every gp you gain has come from the inventory of another person. Go stake Phat sets and tell me it doesn't take skill. Don't comment on that which you have no idea of. How? Elaborate. I kill Bob, Bob has hybriding gear and an AGS. I smite out his prayer, and as he drops dead, I get a rune platebody, a ring of stone, and a bunch of 1/2 summer pies. His hybrid gear alone was probably worth 10m and his AGS around 60, but I don't even get 2m. There was a glitch in the early days of PvP worlds, where you would lose all you items, whether you were skulled or not. That is half-baked. This is a big game. Again, I'd like to see you do better. Jagex is a big company. I'd like to see the QA do better. Again, elaborate. Over 5m points a game. 400k+ theiving xp in an hour. Games being 1 minute long. One minute left warning coming up when the game starts. Need I go on? Then you are a bloody sadist who preys on others misfortune. Take you 64k and be grateful, or leave. At the same time in the back of your brain (if applicable), you shoudl be feeling bloody sorry for that poor bloke who lost months of hard work because he was brutally victimised by selfish people like you. You still lose your stuff when you die. And how the hell is he selfish? It's a PvP world, he took the risk and payed for it. And that's maybe 2m he lost. 4 hours of work, maybe. The fighter torso is easy to get back in less than 4 hours as well. You're an incompetent fool, if you take much longer than 6 hours. Quite victimizing the idiots. Now for my two cents, it has been a great year. It started off with the removal of PKing, a long overdue change in the game. Moronic toddlers and 'professional pjers' and what not just got cleaned out of the game.      and again  Have you ever BH'ed?   I assume not. You've just summed up the majority of BH'ers in those words. We had Summoning, the ability of familiars was truly brilliant (the macaw was my favourite). We had Fist of Guthix, a fun minigame which both PvP and strategy as opposed to staking. We saw The Great Orb Project, another skill-based minigame. Tings such as Stealing Creation, Trawler fixes and other similar things have capped off what is undoubtedly the worst year in RuneScape's history (for anyone who has an IQ higher than that of an acorn). Brilliant.
  9. No free trade  A stuipd pricing sysytem that hardly works (G.E.) "Improved" graphics  No more making money on skill (staking) Bounty hunter  A half-baked excuse for pking (PvP worlds) Still sooo many glitches  Minigames with huge loopholes and stupid technicalities (S.C.) The ONLY positive was Fist of Guthix. Yea, a very good year...
  10. I use Firefox for normal playing, and Opera for other stuff.
  11. So ranting about people making abusive comments, then making one yourself when someone says something different than you isn't hypocritical?
  12. Runescape is a game. Not everything has to be useful for it to be an achievement.
  13. I just had the misfortune to meet someone with dragon claws in Fist of Guthix. Let me tell you, blitz+dragon claws isn't something to laugh at. From 90 hp, I fell down to 11 hp after just one special and blitz, even though I was praying protection from melee. I sincerely hope that these things are made nigh impossible to get, or are dumbed down. If anything is overpowed, it is dragon claws.
  14. I personally don't like running, it just drags on the inevitable. Runners are easy targets and when you find them and stop them, they don't stand much of a chance. I'm not going to flame you for running, on the contrary, I'm going to be thankful you ran. You've just made the game much more interesting and fun.
  15. And this is where I point out he never lumped anyone together, he just said some PKers were [wagon]. I understand that he never specifically said everyone who pks is an [wagon], but he's making assumptions based on people getting angry at him for going to a PvP world and not PvPing. I'm sure I would be angry about that, especially if he's going around generally causing unwanted disruption(I understand it was his friend ddsing people) . Let's say you're firemaking, and someone comes along and starts planting flowers right in front of where you're firemaking. Now, this person is only causing unwanted disruption and ruining the enjoyment of others for some selfish pleasure. This is exactly what is happening here. It's understandable to get mad if someone is being a nuisance.
  16. You're so narrow-minded it's almost funny. There's something in the name of the worlds themselves that should suggest something to you. That's right, PvP worlds are meant for pking. Shocking, isn't it. Sorry if this looks as if I'm insulting you; it's just the way I write. Well, now that that's out of the way... 1) Nowadays, low wilderness pkers are pretentious fools. The hybrids and clan pkers of the deep are somewhat more respectable. Please, don't lump us together. 2) Players can fight with their words just as much as they can with their whips. 3) I'm quite offended at your closing statement. Really, why do you have to be so anti-pker? I could insult and criticize skillers as much as I want, but that would just bring me down to your level. Stop criticizing people because they act differently than you.
  17. Yes, I agree. These things that many people would call "minor" annoyances are degrading the overall quality of the game.
  18. You are kidding...right? Not in the least. +23% strength and +20% attack is quite an immense boost. And there's that +25% defence boost that makes up for the pathetic defence of proselyte. I agree with you on everything except the pathetic +1 prayer of bandos. Ever noticed that verac's skirt is +6 prayer? Barrows 1, Bandos 0. But yes, veracs skirt\proslyte top will out hit, out defend, and generally out-do bandos. I'm not saying that the +1 prayer will do much good, I'm just throwing that out there. Besides 1 is better than none.

  20. I say they both suck. Get a proselyte plate with a verac's skirt and use piety. Beats both of them rather easily. And let's not forget that the bandos plate gives a prayer bonus. I don't see dharok's plate doing that.

I wish I had your luck... It only took you 30 kills to get a shard from Bandos and a shard and spear from Zammy. That's incredibly lucky.
  22. This is why I will never wear a skillcape.
  23. DON'T GRIND First off, don't set yourself a specific time to finish at. Don't become a slave to a schedule; train only when you feel like training and not because you feel like you have a goal to accomplish. [*] If you do choose to grind, chain farm. It will provide short breaks and yield farming experience and a nice amount of cash. [*] Race somebody. Competition gives a person the extra motivation to do something. Everyone always wants to prove themselves superior to someone else. [*] Talking to people via clan chat or who are at the same training spot as you will also help keep you sane. Oh, and I'm up for a race if you want one. However I'll be training magic instead of defence.
  24. You can't take familiars past the bridge near the boat in Mort'ton.
