  1. The gloves come from Recipie for Disaster, its a quests with multiple subquests to complete in it. If you're going to use the Guthans set to heal, then its better, but for just defense torags/dharoks is best for the legs, guthans has the same platebody stats. As for the warrior/beserker ring. I say the beserker is still better, i saw the comparison but i'm with those saying that beserker is still better.
  2. Third Age isn't all that great a thing to use for combat. Melee Gear: Helm: Neitznot or Black Mask/Slayer Helmet for slaying Necklace: Fury > Glory Cape: Fire Cape/SW Cape > Ardougne Cloak 3 > Trimmed Skillcape > Untrimmed Skillcape/Obsidian Cape Torso: Torags/Dharok (which ever is cheaper) > Fighter's Torso (unless you enjoy Barb Assault or you have a torso) Legs: Torags/Dharok (which ever is cheaper)/Verac's Skirt (if you use prayer any, which you should) Boots: Dragon Boots Gloves: Barrow Gloves > Dragon > Rune > Addy > Combat Bracelet Ring: Beserker Ring > Warrior Ring Weapon/Shield: Whip + Rune Defender
  3. Well aside from doing the grinding, don't forget to do herbs as well. Also doing MTK and checking once a week (idk how long you plan on making money). Also grinding isn't part of the game, its just one of the many aspects of it. All of my stats have come from gradually doing them and not grinding what so ever.
  4. Don't forget to bind weapons and ammo. If you can get one decent weapon, i use a Katagon Spear as it has decent stats and all 3 attack styles for melee, then you shouldn't have much problem getting through. You can also bind up to 150 arrows/runes so you don't have to make them every floor and just make a bow (no real point in binding runes are you can easily obtain them). Idk if its just me or what but i saw that when i was fishing salve eels, as apposed to buying them, i was burning them less often. But there is a problem as you burn quite a bit in the dungeons. If you can get a big group together, some with maxed stats, go and have them make you a great weapon. Once you hit 50 you can bind something else, like a platebody, so you have protection no matter what. The gatestone not only works that way for the Behemoth, but it is the only way to safely get out of a boss room incase you are getting low on LP and need to restock and go back to finish the boss. Also, things alch for double the price the smuggler buys for. Blue charms alch for 11k each, crimsons for 8.7k each, greens for about 3-4k i think, and golds you probably shouldn't alch.
  5. Nah tab is used now to reply to PMs that you get while in game. To bad it doesn't work in the lobby though.
  6. Yes that was banking all the bones. Seeing as i was using Kuradal and killing them in her dungeon i could bank and just go back real quick. This was before i got my Pack Yak though. If you can teleport to the Ice Castle you can kill them there and just teleport to the bank then back again.
  7. What? Please explain what you just said in more detail. How would I find whcih "community" I fall under? If you're able to get onto the RS Forums, it is now divided into sections so you can find your group easier. It has F2P and P2P communities that are based on your total level.
  8. He can't get to the GE due to him being in the Army and on a Gov't computer that blocks all the sites. To the OP, you should put that into your posts when you ask that so you don't get those kinds of answers all the time. Also which sites can you NOT get on. I know if you can get on the normal Tip.it page or the RS Wiki you can find all that info. Or if you can get onto an IRC with the runescript bot you can also find the prices. Last thing, you need 68 fishing to get into the guild.
  9. It's worth it if you plan to range/mage some tasks or that you cannon some of your tasks. If you have a big pile of cash then it should be worth it, but if you're tight on money then it won't be.
  10. Sumona until you can do Duradel/Lapalok, Duradel/Lapalok until you can do Kuradal.
  11. Kuradal hands down. If you don't like her then do Lapalok and block steels until you get higher stats and you use Kuradel.
  12. I say yes to the third question. I can use CoG on them and come out even with the bones and make a profit with everything else they drop, that was before the hex crest came out. Once you get 80 magic i would consider looking into that spell while using charge.
  13. Look at his sig you idiot. OP has no sig "you idiot" -.- He was talking to the previous poster about the OP's lack of stating their FM level.
  14. Alching things rather then selling them is best. Also i hear that Blue Charms alch for 10k while in the dungeons. I also got my Promethium Dagger from the Luminescent Icefiend. Also got Promethium Boots from the Behemoth.
  15. Actually, the best method for gaining points the fastest is to use Mazchna (Canifis) and then for every 10th task, do the highest level slayer master you can. Yeah thats the method, but in also doing that you just wasted time that you could have spent on a good task and have gotten better exp as well as better cash. But you can easily get that in one day if you use Kuradal and power through Mazchna's tasks.
  16. If the guy can't afford ahrims, I doubt he has a sol maybe he bought the SoL FIRST then figured out he couldnt afford ahrims...think things through beforre u start trolling m8. I'd hardly classify that as trolling... Yeah that wasn't trolling, its called stating the facts. Using Magic Dart probably isn't all that great. It costs 439 gp each if buying all the runes at max, and 617 gp max for Fire Wave. You also get 12 more base exp per cast for fire wave then the dart, and you probably hit higher with fire wave then magic dart (I know that the magic dark max is 20% of you mage level, +40 from the Ferocious Ring and whatever other bonuses you have).
  17. I had to do this exact thing. Unfortunately, the familiar boost is invisible and therefore cannot be used to light a higher level log, it only increases your chance of lighting a log you can already do. As far as I am aware, the only boost for fm comes with spicy stews so you're going to have to try them if you really can't be bothered to get the levels (I couldn't). It's worth remembering that if you are training fm, the familiars give a boost to xp and will speed things up (though you can't use them at the GE or any other no familiar place - personally I used Edge) Gl and enjoy your EE when you get it! It is true that familairs can give you more exp per log, you'll get less exp/hr and thus make it take longer to achieve your level. Its still better to use 2-3 tinderboxes and the rest logs.
  18. Ardy cape isn't all that great at ZMI as you only get a few more runes, but no exp for them. And since you are doing ZMI, you're in it for the exp and not the profit. Now if you use it for the prayer/defense then it might be ok. Well but what other cape would you need? if you have a reasonable agility lvl, you dont need lighter equipment, and most people doing ZMI dont need any defense, so you can either slap on a skill cape and show off to everyone or use ardy cape and get a few extra runes... i say extra runes > looking super 1337 haxorz That may be true, but i like having my Slayer cape on my back if I'm not doing combat.
  19. If it boosts up your firemaking level, it can be used. But it can't be assisted. Most familiars give an invisible boost which won't help you light the log.
  20. It seems that the OP wants to make a summoning tanks, as they stated they wanted to use a familar to get defense exp as well as getting more charms.
  21. Not really. Just go to a place like in the CT and have a friend kill something, like black demons or dust devils, and pick up the charms that you can get. Might not work so well, but it will get you some charms.
  22. Ardy cape isn't all that great at ZMI as you only get a few more runes, but no exp for them. And since you are doing ZMI, you're in it for the exp and not the profit. Now if you use it for the prayer/defense then it might be ok.
  23. It would be possible, but you would first need some charms to make the familiars to fight for you. You can also play Soul Wars if you like, or LS with a friend and just pick up the charms that get dropped to you. Something you might want to try is to get on a dungeoneering team and collect the charm drops and use those. You won't have to do any fighting, so don't have to worry about getting to much exp. Down side is that you might not be able to get on a team, or you might not enjoy the skill.
  24. But it only works if at least one member of the party is still in the dungeon. If they all leave then you can't rejoin.
