  1. Your neighbors are getting bombed, people are getting killed, you fear your house will be next. What the hell do you expect them to do, not do anything because it'll be morally wrong or impossible to do? Perhaps try Frank's way by sending letters...oh wait he got taken away by the police that one night... By the time [cabbage] gets that bad the most logical thing to do is flee the country, not try to fight back, as soon as the governing body loses their workforce/tax-base, they're finished. That's a good option, unrealistic at cutting off the state's taxes as (you like to say) it's not practical the majority of the population leaves. But either way, they're going to be pretty poor in Egypt as in Tunisia or in Libya. If you had done absolutely nothing note-worthy in your life and lived it pretty dull (as I would imagine living in Libya would be), the revolution could be your answer to be part of history, possibly change some things, and get some excitement. While spilling a lake of blood in the process, geez, someone please teach these people to think critically. I can't really talk though, it's not like our own countries are any better. Anyway, Libya already has a rich ancient history, they're basically Carthage. I can appreciate that especially since I have a Sicilian heritage and mostly likely harbour Libyan genetics.
  2. Your neighbors are getting bombed, people are getting killed, you fear your house will be next. What the hell do you expect them to do, not do anything because it'll be morally wrong or impossible to do? Perhaps try Frank's way by sending letters...oh wait he got taken away by the police that one night... By the time [cabbage] gets that bad you should have fled the country a long time ago, not try to fight back, as soon as the governing body loses their workforce/tax-base, they're finished. Problems are never properly solved with guns, never. What do these people think? That somehow the magical bullet-proof vest of 'god' is going to help them overthrow a tyrant? Make them immune to air-strikes?
  3. You've been suckered in by propaganda, our governments wouldn't intervene if they didn't have something to gain (especially since the costs of launching an attack are already ridiculously high). We need to stop sticking our massive throbbing [rooster] in everyone elses faces. Wasn't the whole Iraq incident bad enough? Honestly. Not to mention that the Libyan rebels themselves are attempting a solution that could never work in any practical sense, violent revolutions almost always turn out bad (like it already has). The statistics I've seen show that Libya's economic growth has been on the rise last decade, then during 2010 there was a minor spike downward, this must have contributed to the idea of a revolution, even though things were improving. Why? because people suddenly have more energy and resources to complain and subsequently revolt, something that they can't manage while badly oppressed. In no way am I suggesting Gaddafi isn't a tyrant, it's just he was somewhat raising his people's living standards.
  4. I face-palmed so hard when I heard this news. YOU [bleep]ING [wagon]s, don't our governments realise that pointing guns at a problem only creates more issues?? It doesn't matter how firmly you sit yourself upon a moral high horse and wave the banner of liberation.
  5. Expect [cabbage] to hit the fan in the next coming decades because our current paradigm in society/economy will never hold up in a system of finite resources. America is just one of the top countries (run and manipulated by a group of [wagon] elites) making sure that the poorer, more unstable regions stay that way so that they can be exploited (in other words, greedy). Both Capitalism and Socialism are steps in the wrong direction. Statism in general should be abolished.
  6. I chuckled a little at the title of this thread as if it was some kind of revelation. Personally I dont mind bots, they're easily avoided and rarely a bother. Also couldn't care less about the in-game economy.

My ping has been pretty shotty recently as well. Disconnected multiple times within the same half-hour.
  8. That means I'll be classified as old in about 5 years *sarcasm* I was playing a female range pure for a while, never really got any crap 'being a girl'.

Lol at chaotic neutral. I'm lawful evil XD

There could have been technical issues.
  11. For me noobs are annoyingly immature and/or act like an ass-wipe. I don't consider ignorance enough to constitute being a noob though it is certainly a catalyst.
  12. I thought magic level factored into the 30% bonus as much as magic attack. I know attack and strength levels factor into void melee. Why would magic be different? If this is true, it would make his magic 26 levels higher. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't someone with 113 magic and +104 magic attack be more accurate than 87 magic with +122 magic attack? Then again, we have no idea how these formulas actually work.
  13. I'm not 100% sure which is the better option, but you could also consider a void deflector, then replace your void top or bottom with an ahrim piece, that would add more to your magic attack and defenses than using a zammy/mage book (in void). Though, I think void is better if you have a really high magic level (95+) since that's when the hefty 30% boost should fully come into effect. Btw, with a deflector and ahrim top in a void setup, your magic attack becomes +80 instead of +58, pretty close to the pure ahrim setup even without the void boost.
  14. Skill at the game doesn't matter too much- you still get tons of points even if you lose. In fact, the same. It's also based on time, as far as I know, meaning that fast or slow moves don't matter. It might be annoying to see your rank plummet, I suppose. That's why I try to take on people much higher rank, hehe.
  15. What's that supposed to mean? XD Slayer is so temperamental and too similar to regular training.
  16. Yes it's good idea to spread, even if your setup starts to look messy - it doesn't matter. Pretty formations do not win matches. Unless you find yourself up against a block of 10 halberds, be VERY defensive against that setup, they will rip you apart otherwise.
  17. I've completely done away with mages and archers, it's all too common nowadays for people to scout-charge them and rack up a crap load of command points. Now I use a 1 champ, 4 knight, 5 scout build. It counters those 2 champ 8 scout noobies pretty well since it severely limits the damage they can initally inflict with their scouts (it also makes bombard somewhat of a pointlessly huge investment against anyone who actually has it, but then again, since when is bombard NOT a pointlessly huge investment? lolol). It's always fun to charge into the middle of a bunch of enemies with a knight/champ, buff yourself with stoicism+battle cry pwn their champ, easily survive their next turn, then buff with shield wall for additional mayhem. Best to do this the turn after they use chastise, unless of course it is the last stand of your final unit X]. I also find scouts to be extremely useful as decoys or forcing the opponent to make a tough decision if they try to take an offensive stance.
  18. Yes, but that is just an excuse, it was (unprotected) consentual sex. Of course, if the lady decides that he's a rapist then he's screwed. Wouldn't surprise me if she's paid off.
  19. I know PC clans are faster, but I stick with conquest purely because It's so much fun and doesn't become a mindless grind. I mean.. just today I got 300k+ constitution exp from playing conquest. What is that? Like 1 million exp normal (grinding) training? I love it, being able to play an mmo effectively and not waste brain cells.
  20. OH [bleep] 'em with a tuna!
  21. Exactly, I recently started playing the minigame Conquest and discovered to be the most fun I've had on RS in a long time. Yet I still run into people who take 2 moves in a game then proclaim 'conquest sucks' and just leave.
  22. Wasn't so much that we couldn't play the games... it was this... (warning for lurkers: video is gory :P) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OH7QCtuaXgI
  23. I'm pretty sure they can just poof themselves anywhere with whatever they want when that part of the game is offline/being tested.
  24. Everyone believe what you want, as far as I'm concerned all governments are out to get us. Also, I wouldn't trust any news or media source on this topic in the US if I were you.
  25. they would have to disable prayer for that to be a challange.. and consumables.
