Hello, After checking the ports once a day over the past few weeks, I have finally made it to the Pincers. So I was wondering what is the optimal ship upgrades/crew recruitment order? Also, on a related note, asides from the warehouse upgrade, which of the other buildings should be upgraded past jade? Many thanks in advance.

repair cost was tripled from what it was, so 990k for a set by NPC, and reduction from that via POH

60-70% chance to succeed appears to be fairly reasonable, but I have yet to complete any of them since launch date... Am i on a streak of bad luck or is it actually the norm?

I have tried royal, ccb and zbow on beta. In tasks, zbow is great, but royal and dw ccb are comparable. Personally, I am going for royal as it's cheaper...unless you find reaching phase 4 of qbd immensely inconvenient.

Hello everybody, From a general slayer perspective, assuming standard gear, rapier, ovl, etc.. will a whisper be better than fury? And is there any reason to use the robes of subjugation over virtus? i don't have subjugation at the moment, so i guess the better question would be: is it worth buying if i have already got virtus? I strongly agree with the ideas presented in the first article; particularly on the voices of (constructive) criticism, which are rarely heard by Jagex, and so the number of people who are interested in discussing the matter shrinks overtime. Besides the points presented, I think some may have preferred to stay ignorant to certain controversial updates lately, because they believe they are quitting the game in the near future and hence not have to worry about where the game is headed, or they are impulsive players, only playing whenever they feel like/get bored, etc..

Hi everyone, I currently have armadyl helm and top, pernix chaps and ely in setup. My additional budget for this is ~100M I have read about the tip.it guide on armadyl, and was wondering if i should swap ely for pernix body. For the 100M, should it go into cowl? Or in my case, since i don't have ccb, buy zaryte for the purpose? Many thanks.

Hello, The offheap figures in the developer console are in the 'reds' most of the time since the fps patch. Should I be worried? If it's of particular concern, what action should I take? Also, I have been suffering an increased number of graphic driver related issues, sometimes the screen freezes then turns black, sometimes the infamous blue screen pops up, sometimes it recovers with an error message afterwards. I have updated drivers from the Nvidia website for my GeForce GTX260M. Can anyone provide me with some recommendations on further action with regards to this matter? Many thanks.

Some well written articles, well done. I find the standpoint presented in the second article particularly interesting. The concept of trust in rs is quite different to that of daily life. In daily life, as the author has written, trust go about without one's realisation - or perhaps to one's enlightenment on deeper thoughts. Most of the times, the 'trust' involved is rather involuntary like the road crossing example as given. There would have been way too many things of concern had one actually 'chooses' who to trust. Conversely, in the realms of rs, much of this 'trust' is controlled by one's very own decision. There's no actual contact between people - merely characters with lines of words displayed above. Words by themselves, without emotions, is rather dull and i think, have little weight in terms of sincerity. It is very true that whether one regard people as trustworthy or not is entirely based on their own decision. And from that, I strongly agree with the point of view of the author.

Hello everyone, there are two questions i would like to ask. Firstly, will camping waterfiends in CT be a viable option for me in order to obtain more crimson charms. I do not have a chaotic maul, but do own goliath gloves. I have access to void/karil/ganodermics, ovl, turm, iron titans, etc. Secondly, i am wondering whether the combination of goliath gloves and void with deflector can be effective for say, AC waterfiends. yes, ee/eee is nice. Id bring tort, then use unicorn after you empty its inventory. (Maybe bring a spare tort pouch in case, its timer runs out before that.) Setup looks alright. Not sure on ruby e though..i normally only use diamond e. Spirit shield..as in normal one? Nonetheless, looks fine. Good luck.

I think the prices of herbs will not experience any significant changes. Though i've noticed a few herbs such as lantadyme, kwuarm, avantoe, ranarr and irit have been experiencing slight decline in price since their last spike around august/september 2010 (the last bonus xp weekend?).

get berserker and gatherer class rings. do the last 5 floors that you can access on large with a few friends if possible.

battlestaves are pretty good, if you're not in a rush to lvl a few more alternatives.. as you've said green d'hide bodies are fairly good with sc needles. if you happen to have leftover gold bars from smithing, you can turn them into bracelets and sell to the rogue; or into amulets and string them with magic. superglass make, then turn glass into light orbs is pretty quick xp too hope this helps.
