Hi everyone, i've got two quick questions about Barrows armours. Are there any other specific uses for Verac's set apart from KQ and Barrows? Ahrim's set...apart from perhaps pking, is the set effect of any use in any particular scenarios? Otherwise is it wise to keep robe top + bottom and sell the staff + hood? Thanks:)

Black salamander also works well in magic mode - you can wear full range tank (e.g. Torag) because the magic accuracy of salamanders is not affected by the armour one wears. An alternative: I have also tried crystal bow, with amulet of ranging, armadyl chest, zamorak chaps, Verac helm, barrows rfd gloves, snakeskin boots and archer's ring - it works fine with high defence. I'd bring along alch runes, bones to peaches tabs, enhanced excalibur, bunyip pouch (es) and summoning potions.

Weapon - whip Shield - rune defender Helmet - helm of neitiznot/ slayer helm Armour - barrows (i use guthan/torag top + verac skirt) boots- d boots gloves - RFD gloves neck - glory/fury (depends on budget) your 6M budget will allow many times of barrows repair. maybe full guthan set, for healing if you are far from bank, since you can't use bunyip. Whip is great for attack and defence training together with rune defender. I hope this helps.

Hi, I've got two issues that I need advice on about, First: whether or not to buy armadyl chestplate and skirt; and to sell DFS. Armardyl chestplate and skirt - they have extra ranged attack and and defence bonuses as compared to Karil, and do not degrade. But do they worth the extra bit of money? Or maybe one of two pieces for aviansies - should I stick with karil + pendant of armadyl and/or armadyl helmet? Also, whether or not i should sell my DFS for some free cash since i am not a dragon hunter outside of slayer tasks. Second: (this is kind of link to whether or not i should sell DFS) i am wondering whether using DFS as a good defensive piece of armour (together with guthan plate and verac skirt) when tanking high hitters like black demons is a good reason to keep it? Or is it better to sell it for BSS + fury or is rune defender still the best for non-dragon and non-prayer tasks? Thanks:)

Barrows armour are great - they are generally cheaper than dragon armours and are better in terms of stats. They don't degrade as fast as many people claim them to be...and the money you earn from training will be more than enough to repair them all. Guthan full set is great for healing- but is 2h, so in some scenarios, EE and/or familiar may be better. Karil leathertop and skirt are magic defence armours without the negative attack bonuses of the armadyl armours - and are way cheaper. Veracs full set are good for KQ with handy prayer bonuses - proselytes are better otherwise. Ahrim robetop and bottom are good for magic training. I have never used Dharok or Torag, so can't tell you much about them.

Probably also because you're using range armor anyway since melee armor doesn't work very well. True. Another question to add to the post: are rocktails better or saradomin brews? - rocktails don't lower offensive stats but don't heal as much (as far as i know). (I just got killed again from a ruby bolts effect + nomad strike.)

i can't use extreme pots, but even if i pot up with super att + str or range pot, it won't take long for me to have to take another sip after brew + restore... is that why range is preferred over melee? (beside from the freezing attack)

Hi, i have tried ranging with ruby (e) and diamond (e) bolts, but i barely hit 4/5 of Nomad's hitpoint with leech range on. My ranging is only 78, and magic 77. So I kept taking his hits, while not being able to deal any on him. My ranged set up was guthan helm, blk d hide body + chaps, snakeskin boots, barrows gloves, glory, rune xbow, d sq, with ruby and diamond bolts. I bought inventory and tortoise full of super restore and saradomin brew. And was far from succeeding... Nomad KO me with 50 in 1 hit while i was potting. So i am wondering anyone could suggest a set up i can use to melee him, as my melee stats are relatively higher: attack 85, strength 85, defence 91, hp 89, summon 70. I havn't got much cash remaining after my few attempts with ranging, and still need to buy back some super restore + brew... so budget is minimal if possible. I have no bandos, nor godsword or infinity stuff. I have dfs, guthan, verac, whip, z spear, karil.. I really appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction (i.e. a melee setup, or perhaps some better ranging technique), i don't mind a few more attempts, as this is actually a grandmaster quest...except this fight is way harder than anything i had imagined...way beyond WGS and Blood Runs Deep.... (Meanwhile i should calm myself down...resolve my stress and take a break...)

But his farming is only 38... I think you should grow harralander, seeds are cheap, you can obtain red spider eggs fairly easily, or chocolate bars (-> dusts) from RFD Chest. If you don't mind spending as you stated, (TheLeonardo's suggestion) prayer potion is pretty nice, you can grow some of the ranarr and buy others. For farming, as troacctid stated, highest level fruit tree and tree you can grow can give really fast experience.

I havn't use it before so I can't tell you from first hand experience. But according to tip.it guide, it should increase damage dealt by obsidian weapon by 20%.

Knives should work better. And as stated above, face mask needed, otherwise combat stats will be drained.

It is called the berserker necklace. It only makes obby weapons stronger, but not the shield.

Hi everyone, just wondering whether the + 100 bonus really make a difference over magic short and rune arrows, in terms of damage and accuracy for training use, and whether there are any hints about tracking how many shots fired in first bow to avoid degrading both bows (lol). Thanks

As said above, in addition to karil body and skirt, it also helps with ring of slaying in inventory or canifis portal to access slayer tower

Rune defender works well in most situations. i would personally sell the shield. Rune defender + leaf bladed sword works well for turoths and kurasks, + whip for training, or + d scimitar, etc.

I don't think they will rise in short term unless a merching clan intervene. The new box-update caused it fall, just like vial and vial of water. Hi, i am about to finish While Guthix Sleeps quest, and is wondering whether there are any suggestion as to what skill should I allocate the XP reward to. I have personally thought about summoning and runecrafting, or maybe herblore or slayer. But I am just wondering whether anyone can suggest a skill or a combination of skills of which I could consider about allocating my XP reward to. (All my skills apart from construction is 65 or above) Thanks

From my experience, see following: Gold charm - Ice Warrior, Ice Giant Green charm - Bloodveld Crimson charm - Dagonnath (They are listed because they are often in slayer assignments) Hope this helps.

Perhaps for later updates...for now, they make good scenery:)

Ok, thanks. Just one question, is getting void melee really worth the time.. i mean whether the bonus boost in attack and strength is better than the defence bonuses offered by other types of armour e.g. barrows. Or is it better, if getting void armours, to do so for a ranged or magic helm?
