I find that penance is quite good at glacors, qbd among other things. I used to use equilibrium for pre eoc slayer, scarcely slayed since then so I'll leave it to someone else to answer on that.

Sad to see eee finally nerfed; guess I'll really have to use my ohr from now on. Make-X change in POP is welcoming considering i've 'wasted' that many resources on armours already. The Seercull change is a little niche, but okay... Cannon change is probably a good one that's long overdue..guess this applies to most of the other updates this week. Might have a go later today to see how much tougher and how aggressive those 5 slayer targets have gotten...with the cannon update sounds like there could be reasonable boost to xp rates. Did the update make QBD harder? or just more or less the same?

No, but the teleport spell (lvl 71 iirc) helps a lot. Could use spirit tree to teleport to Khazard battlefield then run west to cave entrance (near the red salamanders).

disappointed with the change, I agree with posts above that the 1k limit is annoying. Whilst the synchronised timing for the event makes it quite inconvenient to participate, I don't think it would deter people too much. XP is fair, and it will probably survive.

From about 45 mins of kills, I think Zilyana has definitely gotten harder, need food more often than desired. Gear superior SS, dw virtus, ovl, etc. ice + bloodfire. with a bit of lag. Glacors are slightly slower (so less xp =[ ), with void, dw virtus, ovl, etc., getting only around 100 kph on average for the past 2 hrs - whilst glacytes are still weak, the damage difference by bloodfire barrage is noticeable (target gets hit ~600, others ~3-400). Healing is still not an issue at all.

Big Brother is watching you... I am quite concerned about Jagex wiretapping our private messages, and enforcing their rules based on what we say. While I can understand their viewpoint about the rules on offensive language (on a few different levels), I find their measures rather illogical. These are 'private' to begin with, as long as recipient do not find content offensive, and that both parties keep conversation strictly private there shouldn't be any problem. One could possibly draw a parallel from this to the case of text messaging/phone calls - supposedly strictly private, but who knows, telco might send your details to the govt and you might just get 'muted'. (it resonates in my mind because of the PRISM scandal...) My point is that Jagex have no particular reason to be concerned about what people say in private messages (asides from silencing critics and preventing organised demonstrations in w66); if they don't know what is being said under what context and what parties are involved, then what are they trying to achieve? Keep calm, Jagex.

I don't think the price will stay at this level for too long. i think it would settle at around 400m for a pair of xbow...and it would be reasonable, considering the effort required. Keys are still selling well... and drops are fairly generous since the last update, considering how easy it is to kill the minions. off topic: reading Aeneid at the moment.

Whole dungeon seems to have Latin roots. Legiones are obviously similar to legion. Scutarius comes from scutum, a typical Roman shield, and the gladius was a shortsword. Not sure on the others but I'm assuming they have the same idea behind them. Primus to Sextus are simply First to Sixth in Latin. The higher numbers are also names for Romans with unimaginative parents with lots of older siblings. English (and other languages') names for small groups of people derive from this. Sex (six, in Latin) and ἕξ (Greek) are cognates deriving from PIE *swéḱs but I don't think sex derives from hex. Legiones, plural of legio, which is a legion (not a legionnaire, a legion). Scutum is shield, gladius is sword (not of particular types, though the default Roman setup is shortsword and large shield). Capsarii are 'bookcase users' (capsa is a case, specifically for books) and rorarii are 'distilled'. The suffix -rius roughly means 'person related to ...' basically as the English prefix -er in shielder, sworder, booker, distiller. off topic:hard to believe I can use some of my Latin learning from school like a decade ago.. in RS. Idk what Jagex is trying to achieve here using Latin terms for creature names... (c.f. nex gwd, ascension) on topic: been a few days, haven't gotten anything substantial from any of the bosses yet...I can't see myself hunting for signets for the time being.. qbd/flipping for the xbows might just be simpler.

yes, i thought the dragon xbow component was pretty poor implementation...perhaps as an attempt to revitalise TDs but it just unnecessarily drive the price of med lvl items up (despite the fact that dragon items have had a history of being overpriced compare to tier above and below)

don't know if this has been mentioned..but one can stun the shield guys then surge pass them, then rapid fire will usually suffice. And bombardment works well. and keys arent that rare, i got about a dozen in a bit under 2 hrs

So dragon, or royal? sold a couple of keys for a few M, wonder how rare they are actually meant to be

just watched The Great Gatsby..the new one, it's quite nice. If you have read the book a couple of times, you would really appreciate what a great job Luhrmann did.

I think they work better with barraging via momentum than cstaff. I almost always use it over 2h because of conc blast; but I would not consider them to be a necessity at over 200m a set.

sorry to hijack the thread... but in light of the change, is void still preferable over nex/gwd gear for damage output? is the void boost still 10% as per before?
