  1. Well once upon a time I played Castle Wars a lot (around 2005/06 when whips were a pretty new release), I always played on world 69 and so I got to know some of the other regulars. One of those happened to be interested in creating their own clan. In the end he tried and the clan was created (the name was pretty horrendous and all I can remember is that it had something to do with Saradomin). Soon after we realised that we would need to expand and as we weren't even RSB based, simply a group of friends, we decided to merge with another small clan that the leader had some friends in. Unfortunately that clan had some dodgy members and the forums we had were destroyed and several members accounts were also hacked so the clan folded. Later we tried to create another clan and we got to a similar point before several scammers once again tore the clan apart. I wouldn't call that clanning but one of the people that I knew from CW who was in both clans was Firefly990 and maybe a month later in July 2006 I found out that he had joined the Blacknights clan. I was pretty interested in clanning and BK sounded like a great place to be so I joined up straight away (and am still there now, it'll be 4 years in July :ugeek: ).
  2. What styles does you clan normally fight with? Melee + binds + range but we're best at melee + binds. Would you be willing to fight with more styles added into fights (should you usually limit your styles to say melee+binds only)? I personally wouldn't have anything apart from melee + binds and i would even make small boundaries and just have melee (west rocks to west tree is the only time I've done that and it was good fun although i was piled first...) but I know that my clan is willing to do fights with all styles What is your opinion on this topic (was I out of line in anything)? Well I don't see why what Jagex and their cup was doing would have any sort of effect on tipit. I also think that some clans simply prefer melee + binds as opposed to being afraid to move on to all styles, it has a lot more seperate factors than when you involve blasts and range. If all styles did become the norm I know I would enjoy it much less... The way I see it, all styles is for those who can be bothered to have to prayer switch constantly and all that, having one style attacking you and then binds makes it a lot more accessible for someone like me who frankly isn't interested enough to make the extra effort that all styles involves, it means a lot more clicking.
  3. Good Job Envy, looks like the second round was very convincing and good job on the first round, you still had to take advantage of the opportunities presented to you. Nice try BK :(
  4. Congratz 'the', looks like the type of fight which is really fun to be a part of! Unlucky DW
  5. Very nice starting levels CE, goodjob on winning the category, Congratulations! Great job by TKO Blitz getting there, looks like two very closely matched teams, I look forward to any future fights you two may have!
  6. Hey Dragonwood! Welcome to the tipit forums, there's a few new clans here now that will hopefully provide some very interesting fights. Look forward to seeing some topics from you
  7. Very nice performance Legacy, ending with that many people left against a clan like Gladz is impressive
  8. I predict that some of the really old mid sized clans will become stronger with more and more people becoming disillusioned with the crashing war among the top clans and will rise into the top 5/10. I also predict that England will win the world cup beating the only team that can compete in underachieving, Holland, in the final  Both are unlikely but would be interesting to see :D
  9. Nice to see you back here 'THE'! and yeah the debate of the oldest and oldest active clan always comes up whenever anything to do with old clans is mentioned, there are all sorts of claims, no doubt that the sabres were made first, no doubt that 'the' are the oldest clan that are still a major force in the clan world and some doubt as to whether they're the oldest clan that have never closed, and then there's BK which is the oldest clan that was created on RuneScape (the older clans were created on Cyberwars) Hope to see some topics from you soon!
  10. Goodjob BK + TT, sorry i wasn't there, glad to hear to hear that we got through although it's bitter sweet as I am also sad to see SE + CE out of it. GJ on getting to this point though, you showed what 2 of the best teams around could do. Looking forward to the final!
  11. Happy Birthday! It's really cool to see you introducing yourselves, I hope you enjoy it here
  12. Nice job CE + SE, it'll be tough fighting you guys next round and for that matter whoever else we face, looking forward to it! Sorry I couldn't be there but glad to see we still pulled it off!
  13. In RuneScape "Multi clanning", like "honour", is something that has been created by people to mean a specific thing, to realise the different perspectives that are around about multi clanning you have to both take that into account and then you have to look at the meaning at face value. What's a clan? Oxford English dictionary definition: "a group with a strong common interest." Based on that there would be no difference between a clan and a team and if you took the phrase "multiclanning" at face value then being in a team would definitely be multiclanning. ----- Based on the Runescape meaning on the other hand, "clan" and "team" are different things A clan is an group with a strong common interest that members are expected to prioritise above other things in RS. Based on that definition (which I made up off the top of my head) a team is something different and while they ask for loyalty and to prioritise over most things in RS, they allow that clans come first. That's a fundamental difference and you could argue that therefore being in a team can't be multiclanning as they are different things. ----- The difference in opinion is completely down to interpretation of the meaning. I think it's as simple as that. In answer to the original question yes I do think being in teams is multi clanning, but that's because i don't like these RuneScape terms much.
  14. was good fun, I was piled first at about the 25 person mark and dragged them off of me and then a bit later and dragged them off me again and managed to survive with 4 pizzas left. It was a really challenging fight and for a long time Exo + DG held a small advantage but fortunately we managed to pull it back, get ahead and ultimately win the fight. GJ BT! hope we can move up a gear in the next round GF EG, you proved why you got this point and gave us some worrying moments
  15. I stepped out as I was lagging Gratz SE and nice try CSF
  16. Please try to keep this thread on topic and avoid baiting or quoting anything that is obviously baiting as it will result in your post being removed. Cheers, Steeny
  17. I'll warn you in advance, if I see any baiting/flaming getting out of hand then I will clean this topic very thoroughly. Cheers, Steeny
  18. GF NG, you got a little lead right from the off and we actually managed to bring it back to within 1 person at like 45 v 46 but then your tanking just got you an easy win in the end, we haven't fought with 50 people for a long while so it was an experience and in the end while NG had a lot of people left we were pretty proud of ourselves. Cheers for the fight and nice pull BK, we know what to work on further and where we can improve from here so it was a positive experience
  19. Congratz DH, a very impressive victory over a clan with a quality reputation in matched option fights
  20. While this topic is interesting, I don't want to see spam with no discussion value and I don't want it being dragged off topic, this thread is to do with TKO Blitz and LND. I also don't want to see massive quote pyramids, they clutter threads, please don't add to already existing pyramids. things will be tidier and it is much less likely that a sensible post will be moved! Cheers, Steeny
  21. Please don't try to censor evade, the censor is there for a reason, if you do attempt to evade the censor through posting pictures or using symbols then your post will be removed no matter the severity of the word(s), if it is censored then we do not wish to see it. Cheers, Steeny
  22. Was a quality fight CR, respect for keeping it so close, right up until the end it could have gone either way but we got the two person lead at around 19 and we managed to sustain it and from 14 extend it a little further. I managed to get koed with 2 pizzas left which was really annoying because I had just used a ring charge and still had some prayer left and thought I could have tanked a little longer but ahwell. GF CR, really proud of BK, good job peoples
  23. I did a silly, I was 3rd pile and managed to get koed, I started dragging, got round a wall, had my prayer switched and it was all happy days, got bound switched my prayer back to melee and it was still happy days but I forgot to keep eating at which point the happy days ended :( I had like 4 pizzas with 7 pizza halves when i died, was pretty terrible, I'm putting it down to rust! Congratz on the win Legacy and gl in the next round!
  24. I was there but I got cut, so i watched nearly all of the fight, it was close from the off with both sides gaiing the lead at points, RE started off nicely but SE managed to get back on level terms and then took the lead just about but it stayed even pretty much right until the end, I was worried that SE members might not have any food lol. Gratz SE! Unlucky RE, good fight though!
