  1. So what are your views on cw clans? I used to be at CW all the time I was on RS back around 2005-2006 and I have enough tickets to get into a lot of CW clans but while I think CW clans are fun and are absolutely fine I think CW is what I have come to dislike. When I played very few people had ancient magic and even fewer had barrage, there were no God Swords or D Claws or anything else that had the possibility of 1 hitting you (apart maybe from the dds) and I played on a world where there wasn't really a team but everyone knew each other (world 69) and was one of the best CW worlds around in terms of quality of player. Now it is different, you don't really have to know how to play and so my view on CW is that it has been ruined by Jagex and therefore so have CW clans. Would you consider Ever joining one (have you already been in one?)? I was clan friend in a CW clan once upon a time but they had very strict multi clanning rules and so I could not join as a member as I was already in my pking clan, I wouldn't consider joining one now. Which do you think has more fun? pking/warring is far more fun than CW now. Which do you think is more intense to be in, and has more intense wars? I would probably have thought about saying CW clans a while back, having the flags be a focal point created a lot of activity around them but with it not being very organised there was just a lot more going on in a way. Now I have to say pk clans have more intense wars, I simply dislike CW wars now, without barrage and Bandos/3rd age/Barrows armour/weapons there is not a whole lot you can do and 1 person can take out 5 or 6 people at once simply through having better equipment.
  2. mhm we have lots of pics we can write a book about it :D Yeah there was flaming after the fight, fact is that people dislike being told they are cheats and being forced to rematch a fight, I have watched the video of the previous fight and there was minimal actual sniping if any. Some of the claims of sniping in this fight were diabolical too (from both sides), you have to take that rule with a pinch of salt and not start spamming "sniping?" when someone has obviously misclicked or messed up a transition. BK members were annoyed at having to be so careful not to click in the wrong place and some thought it was silly, we piled amateurn0ob (level 107) first and that is why we took a while to charge, we spent like a minute making sure no one would pile the actual amateurnoob for fear of having to rematch again lol. If you want people to accept the no sniping rule then you have to give a little room for error and that was simply not given to BK and with some errors in the first fight we were made out to be cheats. I hope you can understand why some members were disappointed and resorted to flaming although ofcourse it was not condoned and I apologise for any flaming that did occur. I made a video of this fight which I will upload at some point  GF DF, it was again a clean fight and hopefully you found it to be the same way. GJ BK, we had quality binds and good tanking too considering there was no sniping  I survived the fight
  3. These sniping rules often end up being controversial, it's a good idea in principle because otherwise sniping is just out of hand but it is problematic in practice. You get people with very similar names now just to make it so the other clan splits their piles and you get people in the wrong capes which make them difficult to find if the attacker is lower levelled so they attack someone else while they look for the pile, what else are they supposed to do? Then that can spread if the people on the wrong pile or attacking someone random get anti sniped. If the snipers are doing a good job it can just seem like the other clan has more snipers than they should too. Another thing is that it is very difficult to make sure that every member has read the rules properly so if you do believe that it will disrupt your fight this much then it may just be best to try to agree that sniping wont get out of hand. Best thing to do if someone begins breaking sniping rules is get evidence and keep following your rules. Otherwise you get scenario's like this and no one is happy. Anyway it looks like you were doing well while being outnumbered RT, gj to both clans for having such a close fight.
  4. Welcome to TWR Insanity, I hope you enjoy yourselves here!
  5. Will more Alliances form as a result of clanworld wide slumping? I am not sure, I think it depends on how individual clans think they can benefit themselves. Are alliances effective? I think think they can be, The Alliance lasted a very long time and kept the clans that were a part of it protected in a way, other times they can do the opposite. What is your opinion on alliances? I like them actually, it is nice to be on good terms with another clan and know that you can rely on them, often I think it is just better to be friendly with other clans rather than ally with them as it is less of a commitment to them and so there is less possibility of it turning sour if it all goes wrong. Saying that I think they are certainly positive.
  6. Gratz CR, looks like a tough fight for the most part which is always nice  Nice try TMC
  7. Oooh a very nice design, it looks all new and shiny :o Goodjob on it!
  8. Yeah I agree, the base of the clan world is getting older and the core of some of the big clans is retiring and stopping playing the game, the closures happen when everyone from that core decides that they can no longer play RS and feel they should close the clan. BK had a leader and several other important members retire due to the army.
  9. Well why is it garbage? If you have the possibility of losing your stuff and making others lose their stuff then isn't that what everyone was complaining about? What you've done is give a statement and not back it up and it's just not a helpful thing to say really. It was probably deleted before because you are not contributing to discussion. from my point of view: You can't really gain, it's not allowed in theory but just the possibility of gain is something that people enjoy. Personally I enjoy safe CWAri's just as much as PvP now if not more because it becomes all about who is getting more kills instead of being about who can return for longer. I have to say I think Jagex missed a trick when they didn't make a members gate map in CWA, that is the main place that clans fight and it is not included in FFA or in CWA so I think that is a large part of the reason why people don't use them. Also all the maps have their problems, if you have spiders to gdz then you have places to hug and you have space to drag and there is no arena in CWA that gives both to the same standard, the closest really is turrets but the walls aren't huggable in the same way as the rocks and any tanking is based around dragging really. classic arena is the opposite, the walls do give you opportunity to tank but there is next to nowhere to drag as the boundaries are so compact.
  10. Hey Silent Ember! I heard you would be joining up, good to see you on TWR!
  11. Ill, I wouldn't want to be in a clan as large as SE really. DW or CR?
  12. People who played it before do enjoy playing classic, I expect to see some clans who have old school members with RSC accounts maybe have some small fights. Would be cool to see one posted on tipit if any clans thought they had enough decent levelled RSC accounts to do it. I wonder if BK probably has a fair few people with accounts still if any clans did think it would be worth trying. On a regular basis I expect to see very little difference though.
  13. That's a pretty amazing result, CE do have a lot of very good tanks and fall in leaders so don't be too disheartened LF, you had a good pull and just couldn't pull of the victory in the end. Great job CE.
  14. Sorry to see you go Illusion, I can't say you were my favourite clan but it was nice to see a relatively new clan doing so well.
  15. LF had a very powerful junior clan that was called LFJ like this new version, LFJ got so powerful that they decided to split off and now are a seperate clan and the clan was called Juniors, so they basically removed any connection to LF, I am glad someone asked as I was wondering, good to see a junior clan and good to see that LFJ is back, I have some good memories of you, not least BKC + LFJ v Impact + TF, we were epic in that fight  Goodluck LFJ!
  16. Wow, very impressive ending in both rounds, I thought Gladz were one of the best around in range allowed matched opts so as you beat them by that number then you must be insane, I did a bit of a funny, I admit it #-o
  17. gf Hells Army, I died 3 times but tanked alright in the process, I was nothing spectacular though :wall: amazing pull BK! <3:
  18. Good to see, I would always encourage a healthy rivalry and it is something that there aren't enough of really
  19. RuneScape Name: Sick Steen RuneScape Clan: Blacknights Clan
  20. What is unique about your clan? Well the first thing that would come to a lot of people's minds is that we are the third oldest clan still around and the oldest that was not in cyber wars. My favourite thing about BK is that they left the alliance, not because I dislike the alliance but because we are the only clan that has done it and are still here to tell the tale. That of course led to us being a part of the largest single clan v single clan war in RS history with both clans having over 210 people with Gladz on the other side. Winning the 30 v 30 category in the 2006 CJ's tourney and consolidating our position as the best matched option clan in RS was pretty epic and unique as it hasn't happened often. Our annual conga is pretty unique, we always get a large turnout of people in Black armour walking around RS and lots of people tag on. Also the recorded history on our boards which is right from the beginning of the clan with the original entry by Osiris BK in January 2001 and lists the original members of the clan. The amount of retireds that we have, we have roughly 90 active members and yet we have around 168 members including retireds, 78 retireds might seem excessive but it's nice to have them there. The amount of members that come back after they quit, we don't have that many people quit in the first place but those that do often come back and those that don't come back hang around all the time, we have a phrase that dates from 2004 which is "once a BK, always a BK", it's a bit of a cliche but it's because of this strange magnet we seem to attach to the people that join, unless something terrible happens they can't stay away  I wont say community, we all think our clans community is the best so that is arguable. Is that why you joined your current clan? No, the reason I joined BK is that I wanted to be in a clan and had no idea where to start looking and a friend mentioned that he was in BK and from that day the torture has never ended
  21. GJ LND, unlucky MoD Impressive levels LND
  22. Interesting idea, I wish you the best with it, I remember RAW had a P2P ranking list for a while but ofcourse with RAW it was never going to be successful for the long term. Hope it's enjoyable for all the clan involved!
