Maybe it's because I don't have a skillcape myself, but am I the only one who doesn't see this kind of thing going on? I can't recall a single time I've seen somebody get bashed for wearing a skillcape. Anyways, I say just suck it up and get on with it. It's the internet, do you really care what somebody else that you don't know says or thinks of you? Add them to your ignore list and get on with it. "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."
  2. 9/10 only because you killed the rabbits. Otherwise, awesome achievement.
  3. Great achievement, great skill, and great outfit. 8/10 *clap clap*
  4. It's been awhile, at least a few months, but I'm back. Unfortunately I don't see many familiar names anymore, especially now that Jagex lets you change yours. I guess I'll take it as an opportunity to meet some new people!
  5. So what is the street price of a fury these days? Can they be bought on the GE? I'm starting to wish I hadn't sold mine before quitting.
  6. That is because of merchant clans. Goldmerch, I believe. My friend has about 100 of them. They want to get them to 25-30k.
  7. Of course there is a slight advantage. Nobody can deny that it is there. But it's always been like that with computer gaming. The people with the superior machines will always be at an advantage.

My lowest skill is thieving (level 62). It just isn't a useful skill.
  9. Personally I would hold off on black dragons. They're too slow for me at 90 ranged. :wall:
  10. Great guide for a minigame that I hate with a passion. And yeah, I agree with the first poster, torso isn't that great anymore (it never really was, imo.). But nevertheless, a great guide and I may use it to get penance gloves. Also, there is no disadvantage to using the cannon. The way I look at it, the faster you get through the rounds, the faster you kill the Queen for those guarenteed 80 points.
  11. Rarely. In fact, only attended one (MSSW4) and it wasn't that great. Most of the other events don't sound too interesting, and too many of the events are lacking a good description as to what will be going on. I'm not going to waste my time if I don't know what I'm going to be doing.
  12. +1 Warren is spot on here. Play the games how they are supposed to be played if you want the rewards. Otherwise, don't play. Also kudos to Ravian with the list of updates that occurred this year. =D>
  13. I personally don't like the idea, there are just too many holes to fill in with it (as pointed out in one of the first few replies). Interesting idea though. If I become a Vampire, can I turn my player-owned house into the Batcave?
  14. I know exactly what you mean... I'm sick of it too. Jagex needs to do something about it.
  15. Remember to mention that when ranging brutal green dragons, you do not need to use an anti-dragon shield as you are already praying mage and using an antifire potion, which will negate all damage from dragon breath.
  16. Thanks for the help guys, but none of that was the problem. I simply had to log out and back in. Sorry!
  17. In an economy without partyhats, you would be right. The only reason for GS starting out so high was the fact that the more abundant party hats were roughly in that area. So to the lucky people who got hilts (i'm one of them) they got more money than they should have gotten. Granted the first few hours/days/weeks it came out it would be inflated, but it would drop faster than the GE would allow. My point is the items wouldn't start so damn high if it wasn't for party hats. They would be expensive, but not party hat expensive. Its a bad system and jagex has done nothing to fix it. It really is terrible for the game. Ah, I see where you're coming from now. Also I'd like to point out that my post was badly worded, as I was talking and thinking about coinshare when I made that reply.
  18. Aquashock, lootshare actually removes money from the economy by selling the item for the market price on the G.E and only paying out minimum to those who killed the monster. ;) As far as I'm concerned, Runescape has very few problems. I do my best to just deal with the inflation, and it will slowly evaporate as summer draws to a close. In my opinion, the biggest problem is the lack of high level content. We need more quests with high requirements and decent reward. What am I going to do with a bonesack that doesn't even come close to the stats of my fire cape? Give us some quests that will unlock new armor/weapons, or a new monster to fight. I love the achievement diaries, and believe Jagex needs to support their idea to create a whole seperate tab for them and release some more already.
  19. Does anybody else see the irony in this statement? :wall: Edit: Somebody already did =D> DID JAGEX JUST SAY THAT? :wall: EDIT2: Shouldn't Jagex be spending less time on minigame clans and more time on merchant clans? World 2 G.E is ridiculous. As for my opinion, I really could care less about them banning minigame clans as I don't play minigames at all anymore. The rewards just aren't worth it.
  20. Wrong again, fishing is first. EDIT: I was wrong :wall: But nerdboy has a point, most new players do start by training combat. At least on their first accounts. As for the debate as to whether or not this is the best route, I would have to say it is. Combat is what drives the game. Without it, there is no use for many skills. People wouldn't need food, potions, armour, weapons, bows, arrows, etc. Thats herblore, cooking, smithing, and fletching right there.
  21. Bacon forgot whip, only brought dds to irons. Stuff like that doesn't happen to pr0 magers like me and Serpent. :shame:

My point is this: There isn't any problem with summoning! There isn't any problem with prayer! Both are backup combat skills with a real influence. Going from 98-99 strength: Max hit increases by 1. Going from 98-99 ranged: Max hit barely moves, might increase by 1. Going from 98-99 summoning: Max hit increases by 73 (steel titan scroll, iron maxes 23, steel maxes 96). Ergo... Iron maxes 23-23-23 with scroll special which is 69, steel maxes 24-24-24-24 with scroll sepcial which is 96. Sorry, I forgot about the iron titan scroll. Either way, the damage increase is still significant. Lets not forget those massive defence boosts. I've never heard "fake combat level" but I do get asked my f2p combat while on member's worlds once in awhile. I usually just tell them I don't know (truth) and that I really don't care. Somtimes these people need to be reminded that they are on a member's server.
  23. Incredible guide. Also thank you for stating that farming herbs doesn't mean free herblore experience. People make that assumption all too often, and not just with farming/herblore, but also with runecrafting/magic and all other forms of self sufficiency. Again, great guide, it definitely deserves to be in the AOW.
