Well yeah there are officers and other people that could do stuff as well. Then I suppose, considering other people's opinions, I'm willing to run the alliance. Of course I'll do my best at getting the alliance up quick :P As for the intros, I'd say the second one. And yeah, should the alliance be TIF exclusive or not? If it is exclusive it'll likely be a better group but less influential.

New Skill Research - Roleplaying / Dungeon Master?
As usual, your ideas are plausible and supported by evidence, Ren. :) I'm not exactly sure about how I would like it as a skill, but I think that it's definitely one of the more credible ideas that I've heard.

What's this supposed to mean? Max combat and skills makes you automatically the perfect judge of difficulty? Yes, you could ask that. If they took the boss fight out of the game. Which they didn't. But of course, if they did, you could ask it, and the answer would be that it still signifies the exact same thing it always has, which is 100% quest completion. But that's if they took out the boss fight. As it is, it only signifies that you singlehandedly took down the toughest monster in the game. Oh, and every other quest. Don't forget that. No, but if maxed combat/all skill players can't see the point of it then that to me says a lot about an update. Fair points about what a questcape signifies, it wasn't really what I meant to say. My biggest gripe about that quest is that it was rubbish. The fight was tricky, and it felt great to beat it, but the quest on the whole was a great big pile of cack. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the new-found exclusivity of my quest cape, and I love the +12 prayer bonus of the SW cape, but did I think it was a good quest? No. Was it even remotely close to WGS? No. What? Just because soemone is maxed combat it doesn't mean they suddenly are more open minding and understanding about updates than lower levels, in fact I often find the opposite. When people reach higher levels - and this isn't everyone, I'm just saying - they tend to only see what benefits them so they will ONLY want high level content and the most elite things all for THEM. Because it doesn't meet their stupidly high standards they'll reject it. I agree Racheya, but you've taken my comments out of context of the single update I was speaking of which in fact technically DOES cater exactly to those people, namely the fight with Nomad. It is certainly the hardest quest fight in the game, and one of the hardest boss fights too, so maxed players have no right to complain that it's not hard enough. But that's not what I'm saying, or indeed what my friends are saying, they are in fact arguing that the quality of this quest was not in line with expectations based on WGS and the fight unfairly penalises everyone without the relatively high levels and disposable cash for supplies etc. None of those are a problem or obstacle for the high levelled players you vilify, but still they regard that penalty as an unfair restriction on the lower levelled players who used to pride themselves on their quest cape. Edit: This is not to say that those comments reflect the general sentiment of all high levelled players, merely my friends and I. There are most certainly players who fit your summary, but those characteristics are not those shared by the people whose comments I am relaying here. Fair enough with that, though this getting a bit off topic :P I kind of agree with MHL (weird, I know D=). While I support more community orientated things like the Tip.It Events Team, where support from Jagex would be welcome, I also think that Jagex shouldn't forget that many people like the individualism that Runescape allows us to have. I'm not interested in socialising lots ingame, I'm interested in the actual game.

I'm serious about making the clan work, but I'm not really sure if I am skilled at the game enough to manage the clan ingame. I'd be happy to manage it out on the forums where I don't need to have lots of resources ect. I suppose it's possible to manage though, as long as the ally base keeps being built up, most of the funds for the clan comes from donations. So... I think I'm willing if people think it's a good idea. I'll also be able to help with graphics ect for forum posts and signatures here. :)

Your Legends
Post information/pictures of your Legends here! [spoiler=My Legends] Teletha is my newest Legend. I tend to take captured Legends more than ones in the sanctuary since they're really quite lower levelled there. Racheya-sama was my starting Legend, she was actually a boy the first time I played sine I got the gender icons mixed up and accidentally made a guy character

black arm gang member for the heroes quest
For people needing a gang member for quests like Shield of Arrav, have a thread that can be found here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/58380-wanted-gang-member-shield-of-arrav-heroes/ You should post what you need on there and I'm sure you'll find a partner quickly  ~Locked

29-Jan-2010 - 12-month Cards on Jagex Store
Well it comes to about £3.33 according to my calculator. That's not much cheaper than the £3.50 of my current subscription. The real issue I'd have with it is if you wanted to stop playing you'd still have a whole year's membership paid for =/

So it's not sailing, necromancy, archaeology, animal husbandry... Are there any other guesses that are made often?

Golden Horde
I'm glad there was no reset too D= But yeah, first off is anyone actually interested in being the leader? Because if there's only one person or so a poll wouldn't work :P

User reputation
That wouldn't work. Any sort of 'discipline' done by moderators is, and should always be, a strictly private matter between the staff and the user. Moderators already know if a user has any previous infractions so it wouldn't help us. The only thing it would do is stigmatise people who behave poorly. Of course it might work as a deterrent. But if a user does bad and everyone knows this through the reputation, they are more likely to break the rules again because they have been labelled as a troublemaker and will live up to that label. There's also a chance that it would turn into a 'competition' between bad users to see who can get the lowest reputation. Wow, I never thought my Sociology course I'm doing would have ANY real use XD

28th January 2010 - 80 Free JCredits
http://services.jagex.com/m=news/g=waroflegends/newsitem.ws?id=2612&allcat=true I wonder if this means the beta is coming to an end? MMG mentioned it would be going on for a few more weeks though in his recent Q&A.

Just to help you translate MMG's language. "Soon" means "this year" and" very soon" means "in the next few months". Haha. You might be right about that. It is likely later than that, but I'm being hopeful  Not to give you guys false hope but my RuneScape skill clock thinks late february - late march (don't quote me it's just my gut instinct it also says pasta for dinner) Well your gut instinct matches my gut instinct so maybe :ohnoes:

MMG, the great face of Jagex?
You're pretty much summing up the reasons I had a crush on him at the start of last year, and I suppose still a little one now  He's awesome <3:

I hope this eradicates whitescreening :P You guy do understand this means non-java client, ie the ability to easily port RS to consoles right? That alone is a massive deal. Pretty much confirms RS will go only consoles pretty soon. I wouldn't jump to a conclusion that far. He keeps hinting at the new skill being 'soon'. I'm going to guesstimate towards the end of February maybe? I'm interested in this new SD graphics update that it's supposedly getting. It'd be nice to have better graphics on SD - of course as long as they don't make it laggy. I'm interested in 'new places' does this mean that the new skill will come with some sort of land mass? Y'know... like the sort you SAIL to? :ohnoes: (I'm seriously interested, though :P)

Really the leader should be decided via a poll, to make it democratic and all that :) What do people think of this idea? Submit their names to me by PM and I'll put everyone in a poll and the leader can be decided that way? If you like this idea I'll set it up later on (I'm at college atm).

The iPad
I think it looks cool, I'd love to have one. But it's just going on the list of 'Things I'll never be able to afford' along with most other Apple products.

I think we might as well stick to FP in regards to the area. Tbh I'd be happy to run the alliance if I wasn't such a narb at the game :P We still need a leader for it.

Good idea :) Can someone give me the names of all the servers then (not including Red Dragon since we don't know when/if that'll be up again), and I'll add a poll to the thread

Can people agree on what server to move to after a reset too?
