Is it very expensive in the UK? You guys are lucky though, cos you have a really good public transport system (when it's not frozen :P). We don't here, that's why most people have cars. I dunno. The lessons themselves cost a lot from what I've heard, at least over £1000 in total and the provisional is like £75 I think then you need a car and insurance... I think in general it's not TOO expensive it's just we have no money =/ And yeah, the public transport we have has always worked for me. I'll be sticking with it for the foreseeable future

I can't even afford to learn to drive yet, never mind getting the car. I probably couldn't even afford the provisional license  I don't know when I'm ever going to learn to drive <_<
  3. She achieved 700 hours of playing Runescape. Which is an achievement. I'll tell you as a pure fact, that if I counted up all the hours in the day I've spent on my laptop/computer over the past 5 years I'd top 700 hours. And I'll tell you that probably only 1% of that is revision and coursework. I average around 8/9 hours on college days and 14 hours on a normal weekend. Yet I still go to college, have friends, eat & shower ect. If I spent all my time on Runescape instead of mooching TIF and other stuff then maybe I would have logged that many hours by now. I refuse to criticise her for doing what she wants. She's not harming anybody, so what does it matter to us? Why should we care, or she care about what we think?
  4. True, but that's more of a potential loss rather than an actual loss. And since it's also helping to level up Runecrafting it isn't TOO much of a loss you need to think about.
  5. To make a proper website you'll need an FTP system to upload the webpages. It's simple to use once you get a hang of it. I use Filezilla since it's free but I think there are other options out there. Hosting is basically where your webpages are held and the domain name is what points to them. Many free webhosts come with a domain name like blahwebsite.hostname.com so unless you want blahwebsite.com then you don't have to worry about domains too much, they're rather cheap anyway. Good free webhosts are hard to find but I personally use 000webhost since it gives you space for everything you need and also doesn't have advertisements. Like JoeDaStudd said, you need basic HTML and CSS knowledge. Using a tiny bit of PHP to insert headers and footers is good also since you only need to edit those two files and your CSS stylesheet to change the look of the entire website. When I first started using HTML I used Lissa Explains which is kind of a kiddy website but it's good help for the basics. You'll be able to find some templates for website layouts if you google it, since it's difficult to make your own layout with like a sidebar from scratch.
  6. I personally prefer to alch unstrung yew shortbows and maple longbows. Since I fletch them myself it's one way to get rid of them, and since I craft the Nature runes myself I don't worry too much about making/losing money. It's quite difficult to find things that you can alch for a profit and buy, but I think a lot of people just alch bows they've fletched.
  7. It's just north of Yanille and you need a slash weapon or a knife to get through the spider webs at the entrance.
  8. We should rename this the 'Predict FT P3 every week until it comes out' thread  :D
  9. Tbh I never see any rant posts worth posting because they're usually all just people trying too hard to be funny <_<
  10. It does seem a bit long. But tbh even if they had planned an update for this week I bet you anything with the weather this week they wouldn't be able to do it anyway.

Hahahaha! Take that, South! That's what you get for having everything down there :(

Today I went to college. Then I came back because it was cancelled. Snow FTW. I was LITERALLY wading through it today and it's just going to get worse since it keeps snowing. It's great how the UK collapses when we get a bit of snow. :P
  13. I have a long, metal rod (hehe) that I carry with me in my pocket at all times. I've been through Disneyland security, airports, and even that one time I went to the White House in the 5th grade. Happens all the time, and it's the kind of thing that needs to be stopped first. Little things first, then onto bombs. Or maybe all at the same time, if people can keep up with the pace. I'm not sure I want to know the answer, but why do you carry a long metal rod with you?
  14. Oh by the way guys even if Jagex wanted to release something today the heavy snowfall over last night (at least in a lot of the country) might prevent them from getting into work anyway  I think Jagex saw this coming
  15. Totally. I don't watch enough classic comedy series but I need to. The Royle Family Only Fools and Horses I also watch Mock the Week, Russell Howard's Good News, Michael Macintyre's Comedy Roadshow & Live at the Apollo. They're not sitcoms but they're still hilarious. Oh, I used to watch Malcolm in the Middle on Sky a bit back too, though generally I don't like American humour as much. Aside from maybe South Park.
  16. People who touch my back. It makes me jump a mile. I'm paranoid about people touching my back =/
  17. Bumping threads is bad, mkay?
  18. I've seen the first 2 episodes of that, pretty funny :D I'm gonna get around to watching more at some point.
  19. I just call them the Two Thousands tbh. Anything like Noughties just sounds unbelievably [developmentally delayed]ed. I dunno about 2010 onwards though, maybe the teens would work. I also take issue with shortening the date. 00 short for 2000 was bad, but 09 isn't too bad. 10 just seems... bizarre. I don't like it ;(
  20. :o :o :o You love someone else... HOW CAN YOU CHEAT ON ME LIKE THIS!?!?     And with a noob, too :(
  21. Generally it can depend on your ISP and there are some types of factors that effect any connection that you can't really do much about like the type of wiring used by the ISP or your distance from their exchange. With wired I don't really think there's much since generally all the wires you'd use are just ethernet cables. Wired internet is a lot more stable than wireless - it doesn't suddenly drop out randomly. Wireless internet there are a lot more. Distance from the router is generally a big one, different kinds of routers can broadcast up to different distances. The closer you are a better signal you'll get. Also if there are any walls and the like in the way of the signal that can make it worse.
  22. I'm just going to warn people to keep their replies serious on this thread. If you think this is a stupid thread then just don't post here, but I'm not going to lock it just because people think the topic is stupid. If people start making more stupid replies that aren't contributing to the topic at hand then you'll get in trouble for spam. If you don't like a topic, don't read it. It's THAT incredibly simple.
  23. Pretty good exp and using Lunars it can be just as quick as a normal RC run only with about double the exp. It's a loss, gp wise, until about 70, then from there it breaks even and starts making a profit the higher you get.
  24. They're quite low levels, but if you're after herbs and maybe a bit of combat experience then try the Chaos Druid Warriors They're higher level than Chaos Druids and drop better herbs regularly. They're also really quiet.
  25. Hey I take offence to that :o I'm at least a mid level noob. They could have staggered it better but oh well, I guess they figured people would be too busy with their Christmas presents over the next week, and we go back to school next week (fml) . This might mean they're starting next year off with a bang. You should be pleased too, Libs, since the upgrade year is over :P
