  1. I am currently getting my mage up to 60, and am working on getting 50 slayer. After that, i was going to buy roughly 400 death runes and 1.2k mind runes and start slayer darting barrows.(The rest of my stats are in my sig). Would I be able to make any money? What should my gear be? I have 400k to spend. I was planning on slayer darting the melee brothers and pray potting the rest of the brothers, maybe just use food on Karil. Is this a good strategy? I really need to do this for mage training and to make money.
  2. Its small, thats all we know, no evidence or proof saying any exact size. Well one way theoretically would be to see how much it weighs in rs and calculate that based on the mass/cm^2 in a standard vial irl. It's 1g H20 = 1ml, so all we need is the weight of an empty and full vial of water, subtract and divide and we have the volume, but the problem is they have no weight. Vials don't follow the laws of physics though. A vial filled with water has the same content mass as an unused potion, so you can't use a real physics formula to solve for the size.
  3. Some dragon armor is still worth it. Dragon legs and skirts are a quick fix for people on a budget, cheap, better than rune, and doesn't degrade. The d square is a great value for ddsers or people using whips, provided you have done the legend's quest. The d med looks terrible, but is good for archers who can't buy a robin hood and who aren't smart enough to do the fremmy trials for an archer helm. However, the general community of tip.it has outgrown dragon, and will only look at the platebody and the chain and full helm as wealth symbols.
  4. I continously get monsters over level 100 though, or dragons. I don't really have the money for food or the sufficient range for safespotting them. Should i just learn to Burthrope everything too tough? I am also only 81 combat.
  5. I am currently pursuing the optimal slayer master for my skill level. I have 71 attack, 61 defense, 61 strength, 66 health, 51 range, and 57 magic. I have lots of ranging supplies banked, however, mage is too expensive for me. I am currently using the lost city trainer, however, I find I am Burthorping too many tasks. Vannakka gives too many annoying tasks that I Burthorpe, crocodiles, etc., but I am willing to use him. Any advice?
  6. so less than 2 million people playing runescape have a skillcape? there aren't even 2 million people playing the game, idiot! Correction: There are less than 2 million members. Therefore, it is not possible for 2 million people to have skillcapes because skillcapes are members only.
  7. that is 2.33m per month or 172 yew logs per day .. lets say you started gaining money after the 4.5 month ... that is 345 logs per day which is darn easy to do ... Where do YOU cut yews? Also, you are discounting expenses, he does have some combat, so equipment. One would probably be correct in assuming that he has leveled mage and range, so plenty of expenses there.
  8. Because noone cooks lobs then goes and fights lesser demons. Noone likes to save time and money. And noone cooks their lobs right after they fish them and sells them to the nearest idiot saying buying 15 lobs 10k. I've been on plenty of f2p worlds, in fact i've been f2p longer than i've been a member. I know what I'm talking about.
  9. Woodcutting also requires efficient ways to level. You can't simply go up to a magic tree and cut it expecting more experience than willows. Meanwhile, with firemaking, you simply fire whatever gives you the most experience per gp, or if you are rich, just buy 20k magic logs and fire those. Woodcutting requires an unpopulated training spot. I guarantee you that on any world except pvp severs, the willows at Draynor will have at least 5 people. Firemaking? Just go to the GE. Might take some world hopping, but you will find an unpopulated spot soon enough. The fastest way to level woodcutting actually requires quite a bit of effort, as well as some quests, and spending 2-7 million gp. Please don't discredit a skill you know nothing about.
  10. I also don't recall people cooking at the G.E. Try the rouge's den for members and karamja for non members.
  11. So much clogging... Nice job though. Interesting to read as i have not done the quest(nor am anywhere near the requirements to complete it). Fills in a couple of blanks in the storyline.
  12. Hmm, im guessing that was ment to be funny, but i've not got a clue what you ment by it  It was sarcasm. The internet is not supposed to give you a nice day. I disagree with the whole term noob, as everyone has a different style of play and some people are not as inclined to video games as others. On the other hand, i will sometimes label people using cheap or inefficient tactics at pking or training spots as noobs, however, I do usually regret it.
  13. Count your blessings, this could have been a lot worse. My friend was once directed to a fake rs site, when you logged on, it put you on a private server. He lost a d chain, 20 mil at the time.
  14. Will likely be rectified soon. I don't even know where stealing creation is... That IS funny though...
  15. You downsize me for not knowing a claim that you state as nothing but the truth, and that it is such common knowledge that you simply have to halt the argument for that reason. You look like a fool, making yourself believe a false claim made by yourself, not the false claim that light is addictive, but the false claim that it is common knowledge. Please give me a shred of proof that your claim is correct, not because I know for a fact it is false, but for arguments sake. Ask 10 people if they think the question on whether light waves are addictive is common knowledge. Your just fooling yourself. I suppose mingling with a crowd that has taken at the least Physics B is not good for my "common knowledge" appeal. Alright, you win. I concede. Just next time, try not to argue for arguement's sake. On a side note: Has anyone else found the shift key to be unresponsive on this forum? I know it's not my keyboard because it works fine on Rs and other forums.
  16. Dreissig baby!(That's german for 30)
  17. I'm sorry, but if you don't believe light patterns can be addictive I can't argue with you. Why should I have to prove a point that is common knowledge? You're basically asking me to prove that when you put your hand on a pot that is on a range that it burns your hand. This is nothing personal, but this fact is an axiom almost, there's no real way or need to prove this. Unless you would like to read an article from google scholar, but quite frankly, I don't wish to search for the correct lab report.
  18. You couldn't be more wrong. Runescape is more skill based than WoW, and pvp in WoW is much more developed and less dangerous. Also, WoW encourages people to max out their stats, while Runescape is more aimed at the mid leveled people. In fact, WoW becomes more fun when you are maxed out, while with Runescape, there is little to do. Construction, GWD, and Metal Dragons added some content for late levels, however, the two games are distinctly different and will not become alike in the near, if ever, future.
  19. This won't happen, as Jagex is a user friendly company. Although, they don't NEED f2p, look at WoW. Their 10 day free trials weren't easily accessable until they had i think it was 7 million players.
  20. If you quit Runescape then riddle me this, why are you on a fan board? And also, just because you play hours a day, doesn't mean you are addicted. Especially since the only side effect you experienced was boredom, sure it is a minor form of tolerance, but prove addiction. Besides, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that computer screens stimulate the brain in a form comparable to uppers, and when stimulated as such you prefer a familiar feeling, for example, if you were on uppers, you would stick with the same drug, you would not try a different upper. It is the same with Runescape, you are addicted to the screen images, that does not mean that you would just play World of Warcraft on a wind, it is your conscience which determines the content. Note: About your citation claim, there is no need to cite evidence for so simple a topic, personal experiences as well as peers' experiences(as long as they are not part of your clique) suffice.
  21. Is that it? I was hoping to get the legend's quest done by the end of the Thanksgiving break, that method seems rather slow. Can I get some estimates on how long this would take? I need almost 500 herbs with the most advanced potions...
  22. First off, no sane or without other variables contributing to the problem would act that eratticly over a game. Overall, anything has the ability to cause addiction if accustomed in certain environments and for long enough periods of time. I am saying, by it self, Runescape isn't more addicting than something like chewing gum. that's the thing, Runescape caused these variables, depression, things like that. You are thinking only of physical addiction, psychological addiction can be more deadly. Rehabilitation is used for breaking psychological addiction, most likely by the time someone goes there, they either never had a physical addiction or it has already been broken. the way you are speaking, you think psychological addiction isn't powerful. On the contrary, it is very. Rofl, your making Runescape seem way to powerful. As I just said, Runescape isn't anymore addictive than chewing gum. I never implied or stated any opinions on whether pshycological or physical addiction was more serious, and happen to totally agree that phycological addiction is worse, but that is irrelivant to any points you or I have made. Alright, i suppose i have gotten a bit off topic. There is one difference, however, between Runescape and chewing gum. computer screens emit strong amounts of light that can effect the brain, after playing too long, this can cause a inbalance in brain chemicals(don't ask me on the specifics, i'm not in biochemistry, this is independent study) that can cause the feeling that a computer screen is good for one's self, sort of like the feeling you get when you eat a big meal. This can cause a physical addiction to computer screens, especially the source image, Runescape in this case, because this provides a familiar feeling. This isn't the leading cause of Runescape addiction, as one would have to play as if they were psychologically addicted in the first place in order to achieve this state, however, this makes Runescape much stronger than you might think. I did blow its power out of proportion with my extreme examples, however, you underestimate it as well. Just read the leaving Runescape sticky, you'll see there are many more addicts than there are chewing gum addicts, and chewing gum sells many more units than Runescape.

  24. I need 45 herblore for the legend's quest, problem is, every method absolutely bleeds money. Is there any way i could break even? I currently have about 130k to spend, but i don't want to lose that much money. Any advice?
