[hide=95 Magic][/hide] Not that impressive but now I'm happy I don't have to depend on overloads for Fire Surge (it's annoying when the overload runs out and Fire Surge gets deselected...).

Nomad at 110 combat
I can vouch that ganodermic helps a ton. The magic defense bonus makes him splash way too often and the massive soak percentage reduces his massive attack by a good portion (whatever the math is). However, using overloads, an Armadyl battlestaff, and Storm of Armadyl (of course!), I splashed waaaaaay too often at 94 magic. I had better luck with a whip than Storm of Armadyl.

Nope, didn't get back because I was distracted (talking to a friend) hence why I guess I didn't pick them up .-. It was like 3 mins later when I looked over to RS and saw the absence of boots. I'll always get another pair. I shall reconquer Glacors...tomorrow! Quick clarification, the glaiven was my fourth pair in about 2m mage xp. I still have 5.6m xp to 99 mage and countless more until 88+ summon, so I'll hopefully make it up...eventually ;p

WIP Character
I've been working on a model sporadically while learning how to use Blender 2.6: He is based off an image I've previously shown, here: The model is still very much a work in progress, but I'd like to see what people think so far. Thanks for looking!

GLaDOS
Thank you! I made a Cacodemon from DOOM just now:

GLaDOS
I quite like that and I can see how the style I use in GLaDOS is similar. I took your feedback and made this: What do you think? It's not quite the same as the picture you linked, but I think it is an improvement. (I use InkScape by the way; can't afford Illustrator right now, haha!)

GLaDOS
I see your point. I used some (a lot of?) creative freedom because in order to perfectly replicate GLaDOS, the shapes would be too disjointed. So I simplified and rearranged it. What do you think of this one?

GLaDOS
It's GLaDOS! I have tried a different style over the past couple days, and this is one of the results. What do you think?

14-Sept-2011 Ritual of the Mahjarrat
I finished the quest about three hours ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Equal if not better than While Guthix Sleeps in every regard. I happened to see a BioIce[something] a few times during the quest on World 46. Just wondering if it was you? :P

[hide]Find heat orb in Ghorrock. use it on the pillar to the south of the ritul site. [/Hide] The game tells me I need to do more in order to do that. :| Here is my quest log:

For the equation on how to calculate how many extremes you'd need for a level, making an equal amount, it's rather simple. Simply add up the experience each extreme gives and solve an equation such as the following: 1200x = xp For example, from 86 herb, my target level was 92. This means I would have to get about 2,919,461 xp, so the equation would be: 1200x = 2,919,461 Solving for x (just divide the xp needed by the xp per extreme set), I'd need 2432.9 of each extreme (or simply rounded, 2433). If you want to calculate the potions required taking into consideration the xp of an overload, simply make the coefficient of x be 2200. As far as the special restores and super antifires are concerned, I'd make about 2k-3k of the former and no more than 1k of the latter. Once you calculate how much xp you'd gain from those, you can apply the above equation.

Armadyl GWD Solo Gear Question(s)
Ok, thanks a bunch!

Armadyl GWD Solo Gear Question(s)
I am wondering if void with an Armadyl chestplate and deflector would be better for quicker Armadyl trips? Would the lower defense increase damage so much that a Unicorn Stallion would be rendered useless? For this question, please assume 99 defense / range / magic, 88 summon, overloads, and chaotic crossbow. Thanks a bunch! edit: By "quicker" I mean like...more efficient. As far as efficient Armadyl solo can be considered.

ConsoleScape
Linux on the PS3 is only available to hacked PS3s, and I'm preeeetty sure the slow speed (JIT [basically a method to make Java a lot faster] is probably not available on PS3s with Linux, so it would have to be a VM [a slow method that ensures compatibility]) would hinder it.
-
ConsoleScape
Nope. Java is not available on any console; it would have to be ported, which is a rather cumbersome, expensive process.

ConsoleScape
If it comes out for the Wii, not the Wii U, I am worried. The Wii is like a wet, cardboard box. Bot makers, bug abusers, etc would be like a kid in a candy store. To elaborate, I can install the Homebrew Channel and "Backup loaders" in less then 5 minutes on any Wii. Can you do that with the Xbox 360 or an updated PS3? No.

Where are the players?
Gotcha! Inspired by the tip.it comic contest...except, well, it didn't fit the guidelines!

[Updated] Nature Something or Another
I did a major overhaul as far as graphics are concerned. If the overhaul is not worthy of a double post, then I don't know what is. :(

The Financial Mess
I need to write an ultimatum. Truly, truly. The government is run, as stated before, by stubborn and idiotic buffoons. There is rarely a sane voice in Washington (in fact, I cannot name one right this second; then again, I don't keep up to date on every political figure, especially ones that are rarely in any sort of news). Short term sacrifices need to be made in order for long term survival. Things I'd think would help: 1. Social welfare for the most part needs to be ridden of. The government is much worse as far as handling money, especially considering it's not their own. I may sound cold hearted, but the current generation pays for the previous generation, and as the previous generation expands and the future generation contracts, it is unsustainable. People should be required to invest on their own. For example, most people who invest 10% of their income can end up with over $1m or so USD, including interest, in basic investments (by basic, I mean generally non-risky investments; not the stock market!) before or by the time they retire. After all, the Social Security tax rate is at about 10%, so you're losing out 10% every month regardless, be most of it paid by the company you work for or by yourself. Say the Social Security tax was lowered to 1%-2%, to only help those who are disabled and as a consequence would be unable to sustain themselves, and the rest that would normally be tax must be invested. The government wouldn't have to pay for your retirement. After all, you're not getting the full value out of your 10% tax. The government bureaucracy is unaccountably inefficient, since it has to go through so many loops. The only problem with this is that how would you pay for those in retirement? I guess they'd rather live out their days in comfort and die, then let the world burn (reminds me of those who drive gas-guzzling SUVs). 2. Invest in science. By science, I mean reform NASA, invest in alternate energy, etc. It would create incentives and would stimulate the economy. After all, who wants to become a physicist if there is no sustainable income that would come about as a result of such a career path? NASA, from '59-'69, nearly doubled the money that was invested. As a whole, we'll need these investments in the future. Humanity on Earth, as it is, cannot be sustained in the current way much longer. If more money was pumped into furthering scientific discovery, life as we know it would be greatly improved, not for those of us in "1st world countries," but for all the world. 3. The obvious: cut spending, increase taxes. Doing one or the either is not really going to help in the current state. Cutting taxes is akin to increasing spending, and the opposite is only a short term solution. In order to protect the future, we must bear the brunt of the impact now. There is no other solution, unless, again, we want our future generations to be left to burn. I know people are going to come down on me, so I guess I'm an aspiring stubborn and idiotic buffoon; but I am sure there is a voice of reason in this post.

17-Aug-2011 - Temple Trekking: Revamped
I fail to see the logic. "I want to have more fun doing C, so instead of doing A [the more fun activity], I'm gonna do B [the less fun activity]." When does this "let's do B" mentality end? Hmm? I know! It ends on a personal line. I'd rather spend hours Temple Trekking than any more time with construction than necessary. Hypothetically speaking, say there was an extremely boring way of making 2m gp/hr (method A) at level 3 and a much more fun way at 1m gp/hr (method B). I'd take the second over the first, depending on how boring Method A is. Yet efficiency wise, I should disregard Method B at all costs and only do Method A, making my game much more of a job. Seriously, how fun is building oak doors or mahogany tables compared to a totally random minigame? If it means I get to enjoy one part of the game for a good bit--something I'm gonna do anyway, regardless of rewards--and another a little less, even if only 20 minutes, so what? edit: elaborated more.

[Updated] Nature Something or Another
[hide=Old][/hide] It's nearly done (from the design view, not implementation), but can be considered a WIP. It's an illustrated website. I'm looking for ideas of nature-y things that could be added to the island; I'm not too sure what else could go there besides...trees. Comments and criticism welcome; thanks! Note: I forgot to delete the red ball thing since I wasn't done down there haha.
