  1. Worse than Pernix from what I can tell. I'm fine with an armor that's not as good a Pernix, so long as it is comparable/slightly better than Arma. From GE check, it's worse than Armadyl by a few points... so sad.
  2. Worse than Pernix from what I can tell.
  3. Dragon kiteshield has a guide price of 800k... Parts of the royal crossbow are 500k ea (I think there's 4 parts as far as I can tell). And royal dragonhide isn't that expensive, relatively speaking.
  4. I kill glacors for profitable charms. By profitable I mean I don't lose money. Because my experience has been full of rage. In particular, [item=11699]...
  5. Am I the only one that thought "Sims" from the Jubilee teaser..?
  6. Ok then, I have three quick questions about Glacors. 1. What is the average loot per Glacors? I heard before it was upwards of 100k but I believe prices have changed. 2. Is about 36 KPH good at Glacors considering my stats (88 attack, 85 strength, 99 magic/health, 95 prayer)? I also use a whip instead of a chaotic rapier. Oh, and I use overloads... But I don't have any sort of titan. 3. How useful is a unicorn at Glacors? I have the charms for 90ish summoning, but I don't know if I should prioritize the level in order to fight Glacors. I only die once in a while when something terrible happens, so it's not like I really need the health. However, it may make fighting them less hectic (again, I don't know for sure...)

Theoretically speaking, I believe in some sort of free will. While the universe may be deterministic up to a point, the future is always unpredictable with absolute certainty. If the future could be predicted, we'd run into paradoxes. For example, say there was a computer that could model the universe completely and accurately. Say in one day it says I'll leave my house at 2 in the afternoon to check the mail. If I know this, I won't check the mail, and hence its prediction is wrong... Consequently, I made a choice and have free will, despite the deterministic mechanics of the universe. There's also other reasons I believe in free will, but those are religious, so I won't disclose them. There's a time and place for that, I guess...
  8. Say you are attacking a green dragon. 10 bots attack at the same time as you. Your hit only pops up as a 53 yet you gain xp for hitting 750 damage. You would get the drop, not the bot that hit the most damage of (say) 277. How do you gain 750xp by hitting 53? o.o Well, you wouldn't get 750 XP. You'd get much less because a green dragon has <x> health. Regardless, if all hits land in the same tick and the monster dies, you'll get the amount of XP as if you were the only one who did damage, but your damage splat may only be 53 (as in the example). You would have hit the 750 damage or whatever, but since other players' damage splats popped up first, it only shows up to the monster's health in damage splats... edit: Post above is much more clear than mine...
  9. I love the DYK <3: Say you are attacking a green dragon. 10 bots attack at the same time as you. Your hit only pops up as a 53 yet you gain xp for hitting 750 damage. You would get the drop, not the bot that hit the most damage of (say) 277.
  10. Yep! (I hope this double post is acceptable...) What does everyone think of this?
  11. I made two more guys over the past week or so... Iron Tower: Copper Skelemental:

  14. Same here, haha. I have never thought an update worth quitting over until today.
  15. Thanks a bunch! :) I redid the soldier to fit in with the king better:

Dark Souls is one of my favorite PS3 games (behind Demon's Souls and 3D Dot Game Heroes... they're all by FROM software, too, hmm...). It's apparently coming to the PC, as well: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-03-21-near-irrefutable-evidence-of-dark-souls-pc-arises
  18. To those who support botting/botters, how about this analogy...? I am going to play Monopoly, but when no one looks take a $500 bill out of the coffers every chance. Everyone else has the ability to do so. I am not taking anything away from another player. But does it not ruin the enjoyment of the game? Does it not give me an advantage over the other players who chose to play by the rules? The claims that those who choose to play by the rules shouldn't is absolutely disgusting, in my opinion. Let's add to this and say I find Monopoly boring at the beginning (e.g., low level: no houses and no monopolies). I only enjoy the Monopoly end game (every property bought up, hotels everywhere, four players or so). Does this give me the right to hurry the process up, just because I want to play the end game? No. Consequently, why do you think you should place yourselves above the rules in an online game? Is it because it's online? Or is it because you can get away with it so easily? Rules are rules in order to make it fair for all players. They aren't there for silly reasons. How would anyone enjoy Monopoly if cheating was rampant and depreciated the achievements of others? Hmm? There would be no point in it. Just because everyone can bot, does not make it right, just as just because everyone can sneak a $500 out of the coffers every so often does not make it right. Right is defined by the rules of the game, in this case RuneScape, not by some self-defined interpretation. Append: We are not talking about "real life" where morals are considered relative by the majority. We are talking about a game where the rules are set forth and should be followed. Otherwise, you're changing the game. If you don't like the grind, don't grind. Play one of those awesome MMOs that allow you to have fun from the start instead of sticking onto ill-conceived nostalgia.
  19. Not anymore, had its speed reduced by one in a stealth-nerf :(. ...You're kidding? You've got to be kidding? Wow. Does Jagex despise range or what :(...
  20. I don't seem to understand why such would be ruled? As far as I know, any piece of "art" is copyrighted, be it code or a book or a simple poem/image. While obviously the copyright may have not been registered, the work is still considered so. The bot makers infringe on the copyrights Jagex has. It would be similar to me rewriting Harry Potter and selling it, wouldn't it? I took the work of someone else and am now using it to profit, with minimal changes. This is not a parody and it's surely not covered under fair use. (I am genuinely confused on this; not trolololing or anything). Because the bot program was NOT a copy of Runescape. Rather the argument was that the bot program violated the DMCA (digital millennium copyright act) access clause, which references how certain proprietary systems are accessed in copyrighted works. Since RS wasn't copyrighted, this did not apply. "It criminalizes production and dissemination of technology, devices, or services intended to circumvent measures (commonly known as digital rights management or DRM) that control access to copyrighted works" DMCA can be found here http://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf I understand; however, in order to write the bot in the first place, one would have to reverse engineer RuneScape's source code (again, for reflection bots only). Consequently, they would be violating the measures Jagex employs to protect their work... As such, I would think the access clause would be valid. That's the bad thing about laws, I guess; they're oftentimes too vague, and technology always moves so much faster.
  21. The only basis from what I understand from the anti-bot crowd is that bot makers are breaking the Terms of Service, are infringing on Jagex's copyrights (as far as reflection bots are concerned), and/or are playing immorally (whatever that means) or against the spirit of the game. So, explain how these points hurt the game (e.g., your experience and enjoyment from playing RuneScape?). The only viable option is that low-level supply gathering (maybe all supply gathering) is not worth it, but other than that...

I have had very unexplainable experiences which I believe were supernatural. My brother has caught very strange sounds during the night, so loud on his digital recorder that you'd think we would've heard them. But nope. Also, I've audibly (as in, no digital recorder) heard noises that have no explanation. Obviously though, it's all in my head. Two people can have shared visual hallucinations, hear their names called, and so much more. We're liars or schizophrenics. /s
