  1. This update is awesome solely because of Raptor.
  2. Wee finished making and decanting these potions last night. So excited to try them out! I've never gotten the chance to use extremes. :o side note: The jujus are older but I wanted to show all my untradable potions. :P
  3. This reminds of the people saying that so much magic defense over a certain threshold makes Nex splash more often. Don't quote me on this though! :P
  4. I am never satisfied with my website layouts... However, this has changed with this layout. I am looking for feedback on the general layout before I go on and work it into a Wordpress theme. Thanks!

Thanks Killerred005. After sleeping on it, I like the more surreal look and simple style, so I'm going to keep it for now. I added more, probably going to add even more tomorrow when I have some time.
  6. To be very blunt, your story and the point you make irritates me (an implicit fallacy of composition), and is exactly the reason the definition of poverty needs to be changed in the U.S. 1 in 7 Americans are poor by our definition. Here is a heart-wrenching example of someone who is poor (happens to be the poorest person in America). Therefore, we need to do more for all people classified as "poor" by our definition, including the ones that happen to be well off. I don't quite understand your statement. Are you saying my family should not have been classified as poor? Or are you saying that others who are classified as poor should not be? All I was arguing against is people who think poor is absolute. That's all. No, he's saying that just because your family happens to fit an ideal definition of poor doesn't mean everyone happens to be like that and we shouldn't assume they are. Obviously. I am going to give up one day trying to articulate my arguments because it seems people misinterpret them too easily. I was just making a point that poorness is relative to the society, even from neighborhood to neighborhood. Heck, a 15 minute drive, if that, from my old house in Florida and you end up in a literally rich-person neighborhood, where lots of lands smaller than the house we (as in my family now) live in now are $500,000.

  8. This discussion reminds me why I rarely care to read off-topic. In any case, as magekillr has been saying, poor is relative to other factors, such as the wealth of a country. Yes, there is an absolute poor baseline: no money at all, living on the street/in a shack, no food, no water, nothing. Yet...this is not a "Western" problem. There are relatively few people in such living conditions in the United States, Canada, the UK, and so on. What will it take for you to say that there is a problem with wealth distribution in the West? To have a majority of people living as if in the "absolute baseline definition of poor?" I have, unlike I'm sure many middle-class individuals here, lived a life in a very poverty-stricken neighborhood. There were those trying to make a living in all kinds of ways around me: gangs, drug dealers, etc. The only "extra" my family had was television up until the last year I lived in the said neighborhood, at which point we got a computer and dial-up. And by television I don't mean DVR, etc. I mean hooking the TV up to the cable. Since I was simply a child then (not even a teenager at this point; I had no concept of money!), I cannot even begin tell you the struggle my mom had to face every day worrying about food, paying for our house (which was literally falling apart), and all the other little necessities. We went years and years without a car, we went nearly 10 months without hot water at one point. There were four people needing to be fed: my mom, my two siblings, and me. Now, after telling you this heart-warming story, I will admit my family was better off than a large portion of the world. However, by American standards, I was not better off than most Americans. Yes, there were individuals with worse conditions, heck even next door. But must you degrade one person's suffering with another person's? Is that what this society has come to? "There are people with worse living conditions out there!" Does that help me, or the other individuals living in the Western standard of poverty, to survive? No it does not. Must you help the worst off before you help your fellow man? Must you donate to a country you'll never visit, just to say you helped, and ignore the homeless man on the street near you who is in just as terrible conditions? So basically, to cut to the chase, I would simply like to say that you can sit on your comfy chair, and so can I, and claim that if you have television you're not poor. In my case, I can claim that you're poor. But that does not solve the problem of wealth distribution. I am not saying we should become communist buddies. Far from it. What I am saying is we should employ the lesser of two evils. Since the fellow man does not wish to help the fellow man, the government is the only suitable answer. Still, it's only a short term fix. I am under the impression that it will take a disastrous event for the West, particularly the United States, to see that short term fixes are not going to work when it comes to aid for those who need aid. Even then, I am not so sure it would help.

There's going to be more where that came from, unless, y'know, it's not wanted. :P I find the clothes a bit plain though don't know what to do. And looking at it on the blue background makes the arms look a bit too skinny, hmm. Comments and criticism appreciated.
  10. I'm curious how fast they are... I can't get any now, but anyone know?
  11. Snapdragon farming is second only to torstol, so yes it would be best to farm this over any other herb (until you get the level for torstol of course). If you don't absolutely despise hunter, getting it up in between farming runs would be very beneficial, since it would unlock farming juju potions. They increase profit dramatically. Of course, this is up to your discretion.

And as I said, you didn't really answer my question, you avoided it. Try again. I see we have a failure to communicate. I did not (and do not) care to answer your question, but I saw a prime opportunity to prove a point, in that you can't judge a game if you've never played it. Nadril proved my point by admitting he has never played The Conduit and so forth, and I proved it by going by others' opinions. So see, we're all guilty of it in the end!

I see my formatting has failed. I simply reversed some random dude's comment and it (unsurprisingly) applies to another dude's comment. How amazing!

Let me reword the question: how can you call a game bad if you've never played it? Yet, around here, I see this sentiment from many individuals. My point stands. As far as E3 goes, I still stand behind what I think of the "best" conferences from the big 3, in that Nintendo's conference was most impressive, followed by Sony's and then ....... Microsoft's.

have you played other FPS games? Eh forget it, no point in trying to argue. Point being though is that a lot of those games you listed as 'amazing' Wii experiences are just mediocre games in general. (or subpar ports from other systems). The only decent games the Wii has are a handful of it's first party titles. Problem is Nintendo needs more than just 1st party titles to sell a console. Have you played any games on my aforementioned list for more than 26 seconds? Just wondering! I can make aimless questions based on difference in opinion all day, too. It's easy!

I played the games, thought it was very good. Then again, I'm not a usual bash-Wii guy :'( Let me reword the question: how can you call a game bad if you've never played it? Yet, around here, I see this sentiment from many individuals.

lmao. All opinions void, sorry. Sigh. Explain?
  18. I fail to see how RuneScape's excuse is that it is browser based. Much of it uses code that requires external dependencies, such as OpenGL and DirectX. As a consequence, it is capable of graphics in line with game examples presented here. However, Jagex chooses to use less data in order to not require hundreds of megabytes of download. This is not to say it's impossible for them to do so. On the contrary, I'm sure Jagex could roll out a replacement graphic set with much higher requirements that is downloaded and replaces the old Jagex cache. Also, Java cannot be considered slow and the reason behind the worse graphics. Unless the compiler, regardless of it being native or JIT, is absolutely horrible, this is not a valid point. Only in the most critical loops would Java fail. In those cases, however, Java can interface with native code, just as they do already in order to use OpenGL and DirectX. I would also like to point out that the Jagex cache is about 200mb once it is completely downloaded.

And unless you're a fanboy, it shouldn't matter so long as you get a good game out of it. that has nothing to do with what i said make a list of "good" wii games. i need a laugh Must I really? Should I note 3rd party only? Whichever. 3rd party Zack and Wiki (best 3rd party Wii game in my opinion) Okami Resident Evil 4 No More Heroes Mad World Geometry Wars: Galaxies The Conduit 1 & 2 Red Steel 1 and/or 2 (not sure which is better, as I've never played any of these two...) Rayman Raving Rabbids (yea, I put a minigame collection on here, but this one [one] of the first and is perhaps the best). World of Goo (pretty sure this is only on the Wii as far as consoles are concerned) Cave Story (WiiWare, but you asked for games). 1st party Metroid Prime 3: Corruption & Metroid: Other M Mario Kart Wii & Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, maybe NSMB Kirby Epic Yarn Super Smash Bros Brawl others I can't think of at this point in time Come back, try again. For the record, I own all three consoles. The most played has been the Wii. Strange. For example, here are the best (in my opinion) games on the PS3: Demon's Souls, 3D Dot Game Heroes, LBP 1 & 2, Portal 2.
  20. Rune platebody requires quests. Granite platebody does not. Since bots are throwaway accounts, they (the bot owner) really can't be bothered to do 20+ quests. That's my guess.

These are points I see being made all across the internet regarding the Wii U. And I just don't get them: First, it's just a gimmick; bla bla won't sell. Er, the DS was a gimmick, but it sold better than anyone could imagine. The Wii was a gimmick, it sold more than anyone cared to know (besides Big N of course). The 3DS was a gimmick, and it's sold well so far (there's been no killer application yet, though). Second, "no games wtf." Uh, I don't recall the DS having much more than tech demos? Maybe a max of a game or two. Next, "it's copying the PS3 + PSP and therefore not unique." Ok, how many (good) games support 100% PS3/PSP interop? There's a difference between "we did it first" and "we did it well." I would also like to add, basically requiring it and having it optional are also totally different. Another is "oh it's gonna be impossible to hold!" Yes, because you just so happen to have a Wii U controller and played with it for more than 1 second? Oh wait... There's more but I can't think of them. Oh well. Nintendo innovates and "hardcore" gamers get their knickers in a bunch.

It's not that hard to understand. The actual game console is like the Wii; not portable. The controllers are just dummy units, totally different than the 3DS.
  23. So I've kind of gotten bitten by the DG bug, even though I've been soloing insofar. So I've been wondering about a couple things. 1. What should my second bind be until I come across a SSH? I currently have a promethium platebody (my first bind is a gorgonite 2H sword). 3. What should my ammo bind be at this point (from what I gathered, it's supposed to be laws?), since I don't have a CSB. This creates a problem since I've reset my ring once (I had been silly and upgraded Desperado because I just solo'd to this point) and have since upgraded blazer. Should I just solo a bit more until I get the ~2,500 tokens to get T5 gatherer? Thanks a bunch!
  24. Sauce? Comments from the latest Facebook teaser picture. Posted about 30 minutes ago. Wow. If this is true... and they aren't pulling our legs... Wow.
  25. I'm pretty sure this is incorrect since the RoW update.
