  1. So I did random stuff: cannon lessers + imps for champion's scrolls (no dice), handcannoning imps near the monastry (fun, but no dice), and some farm runs + strange rock motivated agility (no dice).
  2. 16th strange rock statue, 11th court case both due in 2 days. I don't suggest them for nothing :P.
  3. Nobody has enough points to buy any of the tier 2 auras yet, apart from Jack of Trades which doesn't affect boxing, and the only other thing that affects melee is Knock-Out which would be obvious from the blue flash at the end of the duel.
  4. It is, in fact, the only skill I have a higher level in than you. I suppose we could race to 99 fm (you have a 300k lead, both 94) but that'd be both extremely boring and inefficient. Race to all Court Cases/Shattered Heart?
  5. For glacors, consider a welfare setup with whip/max melee offence/staff of light (hell, even ancient staff works) + Dagon'hai robes instead of Bandos + Ahrim's. If you had the stomach for it, void/cstaff+rapier/dboots/barrows gloves/deflector/fury+arcstream/melee helm+mage helm/fire cape is a great setup at nearly no gp cost + dg xp can't hurt & getting void will make minor gp :P. Eee spec + ss is all healing you need at glacors, no brews, so that's nice and cheap too.
  6. I'd say, be careful of your attack level - 80 attack is going to be awful if you're not using chaotic weapons and your best special attack is at 60 anyway (dragon claws). Try 60 for a while and get 80 when you're bored :). Good luck .
  7. Congratulations Zaap, you won :). Race to 99 prayer?
  8. Use rubies with the best ranged attack bonus+magic defence, or melee in void (which has both magic defence & melee offence, ideal). Soul split makes it easy, overloads would make it a walk in the park, so get some of those if you feel uncomfortable.

^What he said :P. People don't use the maul because they can't use a shield with it, and get hit more. They may also be ignorant or simply not own a maul.
  10. 12.3m in f2p is quite a lot imo, in p2p it's not much for a whole bank but plenty of cash to go around. Most moneymakers have gone down significantly but so have prices, so overall I don't think you're a lot worse off. TDs went from 3-3.5m/hr to 2-2.5m/hr, but herblore and prayer halved their gp/xp.
  11. Well, he only needs a win rate of 40% to break-even. In this case it's bad luck. Be very careful staking someone with different stats than yours.
  12. I use it for teleing out of cave. The person i made it for also has a comp cape, so ardy best fits the slot. Right... that'd eliminate the alerter in your inventory as well.
  13. I'd be happy to see this implemented if it were fairly expensive - not that I'd pay, citadels are quite useless. Ten minutes of work @ 200k or so sounds about right, perhaps higher depending on the tier of the plot.
  14. This is more or less relevant - the higher level boost translates to higher dps, but the attack level boost doesn't matter terribly much on low defence enemies and when cannoning maybe 30% of the total damage is your own, so the strength level boost isn't huge either. Overloads are worth using anywhere you do not already have a good level boost, which means everywhere but While Guthix Sleeps and Ritual of the Mahjarrat with the Stone of Jas boost. If you are maging ice strykewyrms, you can use a wolpertinger and scroll every minute instead of overloading, which is cheaper (but requires more attention of course).

And, @Powerfrog, maul is worse than rapier at crawlers. Dagganoth may be another matter, or abberant spectres, because you may move around a bit (they don't gather around the cannon as well) but rapier is still better if you leave gold/green charms. For Bandos god wars there is accuracy data that suggests that maul > cls > rapier, and rapier is always best for the minions of course.
  16. Grats Zaap :). No I can't. Got 95 slayer & 98 ranged. Yay. Slayer is boring :(.
  17. I can't imagine why you'd bring an ardougne cloak, but otherwise it looks like a good enough setup?
  18. I vote barrows. You have god spells/charge but no piety nor war tort nor extremes nor chaotics which basically cuts your kills/hr at GWD/DKS and slayer sucks anyway. Worth getting an arcane stream for barrows though.

And rigour is better dps than eagle-eye, definitely take rigour over maul if tding with uni. Also use maul for Bandos and Saradomin god wars.

The crossbow is a defensive ranged weapon, if you want ranged offence (and at your stats you do, as they are only suited to team bossing & tds), go with rigour + handcannon. Maul is great.
  21. Ice strykes aren't good enough to be worth unlocking - in fact the most efficient way to slay would be to drop your fire capes before getting a task, to avoid the wyrms. Even if you need magic xp really.
  22. Hmmm that's a shame, I'm sure someone on YT has a vid though. In general, put the cannon in the western half of the cavern, clear of the pillars in between a couple of close spawns.
  23. Good luck :P I still have to process my torstol into ovl (1 herb level) and I'm slaying (1 att/def/str/range/slay level in a few days). It's just that my melees all level at the same time. But, I've been playing a lot less, so yes, you are catching up.

  25. No it's not. And you give no arguments as to why this should be a reasonable opinion. What do you think various sports champions embody, or environmentalist celebrities? And what do you think the Greek heroes encourage, virtues like suicide out of shame? Mutilating the body of your enemy after a great victory? I can. So? You not seeing someting doesn't mean it's not there. It's not sickening. And yes, various 'kinds' of players adore various celebrity players. So? No they don't. Also I do not believe any of the very high xp players (e.g. 1b+) really call themselves normal players, only normal humans aka someone with a big hobby (or addiction as you prefer). Also I don't believe any of the top players want to keep quiet that they recieve donations; Suomi for one is very open about it. Egoism as in, for your own enjoyment? I should hope so. And I disagree to the second point. I enjoy levelling faster than other people and I enjoy having a higher rank in some skills, but I certainly want to max out regardless because I want to complete the game. You do not provide any arguments however. Competitions for leisure. Pretty common in sports. Because of the select few/most part I read this as: people do not enjoy feeling victorious, superior or known? Which is bogus. There is no problem, according to me. And I don't think that players with lower levels feel morally inferior in any way, though they may feel they are lower-levelled and have achieved less within this game. I would agree that many players feel that, within the game, in-game achievements are very important, but I sincerely doubt that a 'vast majority' feels inferior outside the game for being lower-levelled. Erm - I don't think the interview with Suomi shows that he is an average gamer, nor does he "adopt the façade". People sooner adopt a façade of excellence to stand apart from the common gamer to promote awareness. Also what you can or cannot accept really isn't too relevant to your argument unless you give a reason that your judgement is to be trusted. What unfortunate situation? I do not think it is unfortunate that people adore other people. I disagree. It is not easy to max out, and whether it is stubbornness or determination or addiction, it requires a talent (natural or learned) for finding a way to enjoy the game even when it's at its worst. That ability to enjoy even what you would not neccesarily choose to do if all activities were equally worth doing, for the sake of achieving something beyond that, is very useful. In addition, I considering maxing out to be an achievement. Naturally people who have not heard of the game won't recognize it. But that goes for any sort of achievement - if I wrote a brilliant novel and I told someone about it who hadn't heard of literature at all, that would remain a very abstract achievement. Basically, achievements can only be appreciated by those who have context, naturally, and perhaps the number of people who have context on RS are more limited than those of the people who know of literature, but that doesn't make maxing out less of an achievement. I do not mind an opinion being posted - it promotes discussion, and that's what these forums are for. I would however prefer to see an opinion supported by reasoning rather than statements alone.
