  1. I did barrows (9 runs in 2 ovl, Akrisae's hood which sold at 2m), some fishing (C2 and barb, about 40k xp), some slayer (black demons, 230 in 47 minutes), some glacors (16.5 in an overload, died during re-overloading because the glacor spike attacked, then the unstable blew up on me, then the sap/enduring hit with melee and in all that I missed the next ranged attack :S). 3 shards for 17 kills though, and 50 kph, that's nice.
  2. I'd like to remind everyone: Before this discussion evolves (even more) into a flamewar, remember that we only tolerate actual discussion and any flaming may get you banned in time (and creates more work for us), so please just avoid that. Might add that I have never botted and never will.
  3. I quite agree, for example I have all those things you listed (except that last 91 fishing task <_<) which cost me ~40 hours at no xp gain but the lamps at the end of tasks/some quests (which I admit are quite tasty). I'd rather have a well-developed account than pure high xp/hr which is more of a novelty. But it's still fun to have high xp/hr overall :).
  4. Basically, use the 2h unless you're really sure you'll be on a team with experienced gd clearers who'll let you monopolize zombies and shades/books etc., and if you have a blood neck. But that's really pretty rare.
  5. I couldn't imagine using magic without an arcane stream necklace any more than I could imagine melee without a rapier or herblore/farming without their respective scrolls or even the resource dungeons as I use them for slayer (well, only the hellhound dungeon really). They are extremely crucial to any medium-to-high-level monster hunting especially, but also skilling benefits quite a bit. If someone showed up at, say, glacors without an arcane stream (at my level of play, as you call it) it'd be a very curious instance and I wouldn't say that person looked into buying it enough. There basically is no reason not to use it. tl;dr Yes, you can't call yourself a high-end player without dungeoneering items. The ability to buy many dungeoneering items and keep them repaired at a relatively low cost that comes with higher dungeoneering levels is mainly important for dangerous pvp, but it's also a convenience.
  6. There's a sort of Nash equilibrium in dungeoneering. From Wikipedia: Meaning that although for a 5-man team it's best (xp-wise) if people don't fish, take a death or two each and do a fast floor, it isn't worth doing so taking into account that each individual will try to maximise their own xp, which is achieved by not dying, which requires spending time. Taking into account that nobody else will be dying (and each other person will beslowing the floor down) it isn't worth dying. This cycle of trading floor time for more individual xp will go on a few times, and with each time people try to die less and are willing to spend more time preventing death, slowing the floor even more, making a death even more of a time loss, making it even more important to avoid death. In short, you have to be able to trust your teammates to be willing to sacrifice xp/floor (aka taking deaths) for xp/hr (aka floor time). Trust is crucial to dg and it's hard to trust people in w117 as it's commonly recognized as a place with bad dungeoneers (regardless of the deservedness of this reputation).
  7. Try using rapier > maul (or claw spec) to take advantage of your high melee dps even with maul. Glaiven boots may help as well (over dragon/steadfast). @ Wicked: void range is +20% max and +10% accuracy, so with your +182 (+64 base) it'd be an effective 206.6 vs 232 ranged attack, and an effective 150.8 vs 115 ranged strength with rune bolts. So is the 25.4 ranged attack lost worth the 35.8 ranged strength gained, considering your 70-80% accuracy on tds?
  8. I disagree. For me it was much easier with melee.
  9. And also not allowed (both by trust trading rules and account interaction rules). I wouldn't like to see it implemented with a penalty either, unless it's very, very large (like over 60-70%).
  10. The only thing bad about my setup was the Elysian + Blue Partyhat (Should have been Unholy Book + Armadyl/Niets switch). :P. Other then that, it's the best gear to bring. I still crash teams of 2-3 people on my own. ;). Void range would be better, void melee about equal to Bandos (= easier switch) and a handcannon would be better, not to mention chaotic melee weapons. You make the setup work with your scripts/experience, but it's not a good setup in itself.
  11. I wouldn't be opposed to a system that would link multiple account to some sort of character list etc. But I don't like the idea of being able to obtain wealth on a high level account to very quickly start up a low-level pure. It's quite a large part of the game that you need money to train quickly, and I wouldn't want to see the ease with which you could make a turmoil pure, for example. On the other hand, if an item isn't tradeable, it should not be tradeable between accounts either. Assists between accounts owned by the same player would be fine though, imo, because it doesn't transfer very much (you get xp for one account being logged in on two accounts).
  12. As far as I know, it's a glitch associated with darts. Nothing you can do.
  13. Of course it's no use sending people here to learn to pick out spam posts. But it's good for practicing removing posts as they practically won't be missed wherever you send them.
  14. Don't worry too much about it, at your levels Jad is a joke. Melee in Bandos + sw cape, max melee offence otherwise (defender etc.). Overloads (12 doses) + eee, 6 brews, 6 restores, vengeance runes, rest pray pots, and bring claws if you like. You won't use close to all of this but it can't hurt to bring some extra. Basically, melee everything but the 360s straight up, so no protect prayer, no sidestepping, just killing (22s and 90s first). The 360s are very easy to kite because they give a warning leading up to their magic attack, unlike metal dragons for example. So the rythm is very easy to pick up. On the last wave of 360s, repot overload, brew over max, restore, kill the last 360. Make sure you have 100% special. At Jad, pray mage, pot up, have sounds on and wait. Once you get hit, just run to get Jad in sight, but don't attack yet. If you don't get hit he's lured safely which is nice as well. Either way, stand a few paces away from Jad with claws equipped, specials activated, overloaded, turmoil activated and prayer switching. Use deflect curses + vengeance (heal up after getting hit) to damage Jad. Once you see he's at half health (the healers come) charge in with claw specials and pray deflect melee. Cast vengeance as well. The last 50% of Jad's health is only ~1200 lp anyway, two claw specs cover that easily, but just in case be ready to switch to rapier after.
  15. Ardougne cape 3. Darkmeyer hood (latest vampire quest). Vanguard body (minigame hybrid armour, melee/range). Vanguard gloves. Black ibis legs (lumberjack gear for thieving but doesn't work with PP or blackjack, also extremely rare). Imbued onyx ring. Darkmeyer boots. And fury/ee/anti-poison totem of course.
  16. And still using some of the worst td setups ever invented... that's insanely lucky.
  17. 208630162/4295=48575/hr, with 78 effigies banked. http://forum.tip.it/topic/300015-whats-your-xph-on-average/ http://forum.tip.it/topic/279742-what-is-your-total-xphr/
  18. There wouldn't be a bias unless you stop recording information but still keep doing whatever it is you were doing. Since each trial is presumably independent from each other - it doesn't actually matter when you stop. (Assuming that drop rate is going to be the same for each person - meaning there aren't random people wearing ROW and random people not wearing ROW and all the data being grouped together as one.) Well, I'm implying that active logs are more likely to get merged, as inactive logs don't get bumped anymore (crucial to an RSOF log for example).
  19. Merging all these blogs has an advantage. You always know where to find a good bit of spam for your trainees to practice on.
  20. I'm not 100% sure on the boots, maybe Vanguard boots work?
  21. Actually completionist capes are still rare, I believe someone in the "200m all skills" in GD said that only 4 or so people have it thus far. Not sure how true that is but it can't be too far. Just the Castle Wars requirement itself is pretty tough. That's the trimmed completionist cape - over 500 people have the regular one I'd estimate (~900 people who have the levels for it).
  22. I hit fine on Enduring with rapier/turmoil/void (barrows gloves + deflector/overloads. Storm of Armadyl hits even better.
  23. I'm not sure on the number but quite a bit, just like task/no task matters a lot. I'd say 5% or more in favour of the cls.
  24. If you decided to go for 'a 99' I'd go for one that felt special to me. In my case, summoning. Looking at your stats, with several unranked skills, I wouldn't say a 99 would be a good way to develop your account e.g. open up new things.
  25. At about 90k xp/hr (which is reasonable, 100k is a bit high) you'll use 24 urns per hour (might be up to 25-26 or so if you get lucky with no collapsing rocks), along with 3 mining potions (4) and one titan. I bring pickaxe/2 juju mining potions (4)/nature runes/gp/16 urns (and strange rock bag at times) (fire staff equipped), one lava titan pouch. I prefer to do 40 minutes at the time because I have to carry alch stuff as well, but if you can mine one/drop one with pickaxe equipped you might be able to last a full hour with 27 items at first (but it'd be a huge pain). Imo there's a better strategy, which involves suiciding next to a central gold rock carrying 28 urns (+ 3 items equipped that you protect over urns) and getting a bless. It's probably not faster than simply banking but it may be more convenient. With 28 urns in your grave, a titan summoned, a second pouch in your inventory & pickaxe/nats/gp, staff equipped, you could last about 40 urns easily (5 juju mining potions, 12 urns in inventory). If you don't drop with mousekeys I'd recommend alching if only for convenience's sake. Without perfect dropping (drop and reclick rock within one tick) you'll lose xp.
