  1. Wait what? You got 250 kills/hr in Edgeville dungeon while banking the ashes with a tortoise? I find that hard to believe to be honest. AC fiends are still much faster (130/hr off-task). You can do black demons with familiarization very well and I would only recommend killing them with a cannon in Taverly regardless of your situation. You can kill 300 per hour even with bots, though you may not always get 100% xp or the drop.
  2. I wouldn't even bother with anything but chinning for powertraining ranged, and even then it isn't worth it if you take into account that cannon and steel titan will stay with you forever even after 99 ranged. For melee, you can cmaul revs or something.
  3. Cannoning dagganoths would be fast golds and decent ranged xp.
  4. Definitely not, you're 99 magic anyway and their slayer xp/effigies are below the average of the perfect task list.
  5. Well, it's between 43 and 45 defence imo. Void is too good to pass up on and at 60 attack/95 prayer/rest 99s you won't gain a combat level from 43 defence anyway. +3 strength bonus is about 1.5% higher max hit (with dragon scimitar) for 1 extra combat level, and almost 2% higher max with claws. SSH is not vital but it will allow you to risk dg items if you wanted to (vigour, cstaff).
  6. They fixed that Powerfrog, now you won't hit orange for most hits. I've hit 660+ (on task, rapier) without orange splats, and I've hit 950+ on glacors without max hits (but 960 is max).
  7. Full inventory, and I think there might have been a brother (not mine) standing over the loot.
  8. I'm all geared up and ready for a dark beast task (even at the temple etc.) but I'm going to sleep first. 244 dbs = 54997,6 xp = quarter of what I need for 95 slayer. Rooting for a good task streak up to the 400 task mark to get my points back over 1000. Torstol farming has been excellent lately and my measly 2m cashpile is up to 7m even after buying a couple of hundred Armadyl runes. Akrisae's hood helped too. Oh and according to my alog I missed Guthan's platebody at barrows today :(.
  9. Not sure how to rank MA and Citadels in usefulness. MA gives me +4 strength bonus and a purple title, Citadels allow me to open 3 stages of agility effigy.
  10. That's only because you use rocktail due to not having overloads, but getting overloads doesn't take that long, and stat reduction through brewing is relatively minor when properly handled. Overloads are easier to get than loyalty points for at least the next couple of months, with herblore so cheap. I personally wouldn't spend 20k+ loyalty points on an aura I wouldn't be using for more than a month or two (also with new tiers coming out). Which I suppose might be my recommendation: save your points for tier 3 and tier 4 auras. Prayer is much more an issue at higher levels, though GWD bosses have altars. Glacors, DKs, Nex and TDs however do not, and those are the money/money+effigy bosses. And you don't use a ghast because a yak or even a war tortoise carries much more prayer than a ghast can restore, and it's cheaper. If the Dark Bow hits 80-500x2 now, it'd become 205-375x2 with Equilibrium (in theory) which is a massive 410 minimum hit at 100% accuracy (and at least 400 damage regardless of soak). Unless you were using Nex gear/divine, you'd die in 3 specs, virtually no escape, and very likely in one spec. I think it would be worth using, say, a few dps hits with handcannon (130-400 or so?) followed by a dbow spec.
  11. I don't care much for citadels. It's very hard to find motivation to skill in the citadels if you gain nearly no benefits, subpar xp for cosmetic rewards. That they are translated only makes sense, that it's announced on the front page as well.
  12. I'd go for a plate until you get a hood. Gauntlets aren't going to be very useful compared to the defence of a platebody if every single hood-safe monster will focus on you. You'd be praying range 100% and tanking all sorts of nasty melee/mage attacks.
  13. Boots seem to be a lot more uncommon compared to claws. Unless i'm having a horrible dry-spell, boots are probably in the region of 1/500. I've only had 1 pair of boots in 840 kills now. I've heard of other people having similar luck with 1 pair in ~1000 kills. The only thing that makes Glacors better is the fact that they drop shards. It make's it a semi-stable/constant money maker, but then again you could have bad luck on them too. You have one in 840, I have 2 in 170, that's an average of 1/300. I've heard people getting dry streaks and I've heard people getting boots by the dozen. You can't base it off two or three people of course. If the prices of boots and the staff are anything to judge by, 1/500 would seem to make sense compared to the price of the boots, but I'm not convinced they are that rare just yet.
  14. With your magic level, turmoil and rapier you can hunt glacors quite well. That'd be good profit if you get 100 shards or a boot drop (boots aren't too uncommon, comparable to claws). Individual shards are ~360k gp at 99 runecrafting. Read the tip.it guide on glacors :).
  15. Oo that's pretty fast. Was that in the tav dungeons? Yes it was, though I'm pretty sure there were some half kills in there, so I didn't get full xp. The bots are annoying but not a great factor in killrate. @xp/hr: As far as I can see, xp/hr goes up as total xp&level goes up. High-level hunter is 3-4x as fast as low-level for example. @ll0rt: Full world spawns ftw :D. Did more barrows with SoA and didn't forget my melee helmet this time. I think it was 9 or 10 runs in 2 ovl, using just under 20 casts per run. No items, lost 500k or so. I think I'll melee Karil from now on as well, not worth the 3-5 runes you need to kill him.
  16. Probably not. The bolts take time to make and they do not high higher than a chaotic rapier does. They are also 1 tick slower (20% less dps).
  17. 2218 catches 435 seeds Ugune x 26 Samaden x 35 Erzille x 30 Shengo x 29 Red x 51 Blue x 55 Orange x 12 Banana x 14 Lergberry x 68 Kalferberry x 44 Green x 43 Argway x 22 Apple x 6 ____+ Total 435 Not sure if you need this particular data but that's my updated commons seeds log. I might add that draconics at 86 hunter + arctic bear got me 200k xp/hr without Zamorak favour. Your guidework is excellent as always :).
  18. Maybe they changed the way spells are coded to something easier to use and forgot a bracket, stuff like that happens (but should be caught testing I suppose).
  19. 3k isn't the only issue, Powerfrog, inventory space is also an issue. With soul split + uni you can carry more healing than you can carry prayer. Knock-out is mildly useful for glacors, as the glacytes have exactly 1000 lp and the unstable ends up at 100 lp after blowing up. Equilibrium has much the same function. Neither really increases dps, but Equilibrium does reduce overkill like Saladin said. I'm personally most interested in this one, mainly how it interacts with Storm of Armadyl or Korasi's sword's special attack. Vampirism will save quite a bit of health, on Graardor + minions about 5% of 144320 (22 kph) which is about 7216, about 10 brews. For slayer, this aura is basically useless. Penance will save prayer, very little while slaying, but quite a lot bosshunting. Using about 15000 lp per hour as baseline damage taken, you'd gain about 3000 prayer, or 2.5 potions worth. That seems quite a bit worse inventory-wise than vampirism, but take into account that, for example, you barely need any sort of healing for DKS (a pro could survive on blood barrage + eee + soul split). Reverence and Greater Reverence both save prayer, a decent/good all-round aura anywhere you need inventory space.
  20. Don't forget void at 42 defence and third-age range/mage gear at 45.
  21. You should do them if you can't be bothered dropping your fire capes every time you get a task.
  22. ? There is no such thing as a critical hit in Runescape, only regular hits. The highest regular hit should be orange, but as Gilformen said, it doesn't seem to work at all times. Usually seems to work for me though.
  23. It's really not right to say that there is a 1/200 squared chance to get b2b effigies off a monster with a 1/200 drop rate. There is a 1/200 chance that a given effigy drop is followed by another effigy drop. If you kill two of this monster, you will get b2b effigies once in 40000 tries, on average. But if you kill, say, 100 of this monster, the chance of getting one effigy is .995^99 (e.g. chances of getting no effigies for 99 kills) multiplied by .005 (chances of getting an effigy on one kill) multiplied by 100 (100 different kills, numbered 1 through 100, you can get an effigy on) which is about 30% (and about 60% chance of no effigies, .995^100). The chances of getting b2b effigies in a 100 kill sample with a 1/200 drop rate are almost the same as that 30% multiplied by 1/200, so about .15%. Which is a whole lot better than the .0025% chance predicted by the .005 squared theory.
