  1. You should remove Fury to avoid accidentally using it :(. Anticipation & Freedom are your basic adrenaline stallers, just use them whenever you go out of combat.
  2. I would use the following guideline: for every step of weakness, add or subtract 2 levels to the weapon's power. For example, a monster weak to ranged, you have t80 ranged, equivalent to t82 mage, equivalent to t84 melee (because range > mage > melee versus mages). Theoretically, that should work. 2 levels is about 10% accuracy and also a bit of damage.
  3. Why are Fury, Butterfly and Smash on your action bar but not Dismember, Anticipation and Cleave :(.
  4. No idea, first on HLF, so it must be pretty close, nobody else on HLF is very close either (iirc 10+ scrolls behind) or not updated.
  5. GE searches do not require that you search for the first part of an items name anyway, so I don't see how that would help :P. Anyway wooot, going to play right away. Maybe I'll learn Spanish :D.
  6. It's comparable to the reason accuracy gets less valuable as you increase it past your opponents defence (of course health tends to be much higher than max hit, and max def roll tends to be lower than max atk roll with the current balance). It is also well-established, at least since Dharoking ape atoll monkeys, there have been people who brought whips to finish off skeletons, increasing xp/h by 5-10% iirc.
  7. 9 spices is worth so little that I imagine an increase of the average success chance of your other voyages is worth more. Merchants do not ever boost success rate.
  8. How are you fitting 27 crew members into 25 slots, Emaxganis? Imo, 2 merchants is too little, I can usually send out at least 3 voyages which are good with merchants at once, if I valued steel enough to not reroll all but the last batch it'd be more. But once you get to the trade good-only stage, more than three missions at once that you care about (plate, laquer, chi, bones) is pretty rare, steel and spices are just little bonusus, not really worth having merchants for.
  9. No. Runecrafting for money is basically dead. That is, it still profits, but you can make more killing stuff. Depending on your stats, it can be twice as much, or maybe ten times as much, or even twenty times as much. The current GE med price for runes are: Pure essence - 91 gp Nature rune - 111 gp Law rune - 177 gp Death rune - 95 gp Blood rune - 208 gp Astral rune - 119 gp
  10. 171310 xp at 117.
  11. Armour definitely has decimal places, maybe weapons do as well.
  12. Main hand only. That's why drygore off-hands aren't much better than eee, only one tier better.
  13. Smithing urns only work for smelting, but not for silver or gold iirc. I have no idea what is the best atm, SC is getting borderline efficient with these prices (over 30 gp/xp for 200-250k xp/h?), look at addy ingot ii or iii with and without sc and compare. Swords can also be good, but most people prefer the afk.
  14. Is seercull also a shieldbow? Dark bow is iirc. Anyway, interesting it's closer to averaged, which indicates that weapon damage as listed in the equipment interface isn't actually used in calculating ability max hits. Bronze dagger crits (147 damage): Slice: 182 Punish: 146 Sever: 276 Dismember: 30 Bronze sword (160 damage): Slice: 182 Punish: 146 Sever: 276 Dismember: 30 Iron dagger (195 damage): Slice: 242 Punish: 194 Sever: 365 Dismember: 40 Iron sword (221): Slice: 242 Punish: 194 Sever: 365 Dismember: 40 Steel dagger (291): Slice: 362 Punish: 290 Sever: 546 Dismember: 60 Steel sword (344): Slice: 364 Punish: 292 Sever: 548 Dismember: 60 Black dagger (339): Slice: 422 Punish: 338 Sever: 636 Dismember: 70 Black sword (405): Slice: 424 Punish: 340 Sever: 638 Dismember: 70 Mithril dagger (387): Slice: 482 Punish: 386 Sever: 726 Dismember: 80 Mithril sword (466): Slice: 484 Punish: 388 Sever: 728 Dismember: 80
  15. You should use Soul Split, not protect from/deflect ranged. Be sure to use your Asphyxiate and also Impact if you need a breather (Asphyxiate also for dps of course) and Metamorphosis can help a bit too sometimes. Avoid the 3-mith spot until they are unagressive. A bunyip can help too, but yak is probably better. Sadly, magic prayers are broken and do not boost damage. Drygores would increase kill speed.
  16. Merchants are the most flexible because they're good for anything but scrolls/xp/traits I suppose, and two of those are finite :P.
  17. Horsecrit :3. Highest HLF score currently listed is 2202, so I don't think you're going to beat that :P. Edit: last post has this: http://puu.sh/2Ewpx http://puu.sh/2EwoO Which are Soccerdies' scores, meaning they have maxed port score now.
  18. I dislike killing things without rewards, but rewards change over time, so... Tds were great when titan + pps/abs + rapier in virtus + arc worked (pre-EoC). Getting that whole process to work right, just great. Strykes are amongst the most horrible creatures imo, so annoying to pop them up. Honestly anything weak is super annoying to kill since EoC, because you can't properly cannon anymore. KK is pretty nice because it's fairly complex, but that might just be because the two times I went I was tanking (and bad at it) so it was pretty challenging. Nex dps for example is not very interesting at all, tank might be, idk. I like clearing rooms in dg with a well-timed frag shot > ricochet > dismember > sever > slice > cleave > whirlwind (or something). Sometimes you just get these beautiful combos :).
  19. The movie isn't overrated because you don't like it - your rating is already part of the overall rating. A lot of people think it's great, it has recieved many awards (and has been nominated for more), it is highly rated and often mentioned as important movie, for example the AFI list of 100 best American movies, and it's just very special. Everybody has some 'great' movies they don't like, for example (going by that list) I do not like E.T. at all (let alone Toy Story >.>), but it's still a very important and much loved movie. Anyway, if you want long, slow movies, try Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago. Omar Sharif <3:.
  20. Weapon damage is higher for slow weapons, you can't use that as base to determine ability damage. Besides, ticks worth of autoattack damage is really simple. As I explained it doesn't matter which amount of ticks you take, just that it is the same amount for all weapon speeds. The ability multiplier adjusts. Just did a little test, maul has 1936 damage listed @ 99 strength, Slice crit is 1640 without potions/prayers/void. That means 100% weapon damage is 1312 (Slice being 125% weapon damage), which is about 66% of 1936, so it seems it is in fact 4 ticks worth. It's not that hard to prove :P.
  21. A lot of glacor specs are 100% accurate and max lp dependant so probably armour isn't even useful on them :D.
  22. It's not 219% of 6 seconds worth of autoattack damage. I said: "each hit being 219% of 4 ticks worth of autoattack damage" Should mention that normalizing to 4 ticks is a choice. Abilities are all about a certain amount of ticks worth, but which amount of ticks only affects rounding really. Whether you increase fast weapons to slow speed (+50%, x1.5) or reduce slow weapons to fast speed (-33%, x.66) doesn't really matter. All the descriptions are wrong. Start with that assumption and work your way up. Jagex doesn't understand the system as well as we do.
  23. Nobody, oxheads are a problem, judges aren't :P. I typically use my 4 oxheads for when I get plate & laquer normal voyages, so I can send judge + 3 ox + merch and still have an ox left for another double. I send oxheads on all doubles and triples, just like I send judges on all doubles and triples, but where I only send 1 judge per ship, oxheads are 'stackable' so an extra is nice. This is very true. If you are giving suboptimal advice, explain: 1) Why it is suboptimal. 2) What is optimal. 3) If you want, explain why you prefer the suboptimal setup. Especially @Urza because you said you don't care about this baseline for advice. That's enough said about this, if someone breaks the rules, report, otherwise no need to discuss.
  24. Your 4-tick weapons deal 100% of their listed damage on abilities. Your 5-tick weapons deal 80% damage. Your 6-tick weapons deal 66% damage. Jagex generally confuse '% weapon damage' and '% autoattack damage over a fixed amount of time'. They mean the same thing. E.g. Assault description says: 'dealing damage equal to 219% of 6 seconds worth of autoattack damage over 6 seconds'. What it means is that assault hits four times in 8 ticks, each hit being 219% of 4 ticks worth of autoattack damage (4/4, 4/5 and 4/6 of listed damage). Rapid fire description says: 'dealing 94% of weapon damage every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. What it means is that rapid fire hits 8 (I think) times over 8 ticks, each hit being 94% of 4 ticks worth of autoattack damage.
