  1. Agreed, the charm gatherer is not great, the difference with prayer urns, bonecruncher and herbicide is that none of those produce items, so it's only a way to get some xp from stuff you would otherwise leave behind. The charming imp is a way to make high-attention scaping a ton easier, but easier usually means less interesting as well. It's not like anyone's going wild about the massive fun of updates like ivy & runespan & charming imp, it's mostly about how much easier the game gets. And while there is a reason to make max & comp achievable for anyone, given time, there should still be a reward for high-attention scaping. Runecrafting obviously lacks that, but now so does charm gathering, and that is by far the greatest part of summoning.
  2. If that is the case, I retract my previous negativity. All three would be very good. I shall pretend you gave me irrefutable proof to improve my weekend.
  3. Not voting for that, I want all three, this vote suggests we're only getting one this year (or ever). I don't get how Jagex can be so cheerful about content that is way, way past due. It's as if they're counting on new players assuming this is all super quick and we'll be getting another vote like this every month, regular procedure, good content. More likely, there's ten months of dev time and Q&A before we get the concept art going. Anyway funny video, like the piraty dude who's obviously not an actor :D.
  4. What's Fury for? Also you might as well use Decimate over Havoc, and Frenzy is probably not worth using (basically another Assault, but not as good as Massacre I think, nor Berserk). And where the hell is Sever on that bar :o?.
  5. No, but you could've sold for that much each at a point where you could also have had 150+ plate. Early sell prices were higher, you might've been able to get 100m+ for legs at some point. I don't consider 8% dps to be a small difference, that's like calling +10 strength bonus a small difference pre-EoC (Bandos + Neit versus plain barrows). You are definitely saving minutes in a Torva team over Tetsu. Not per kill, but then kills are barely minutes long in the first place. Torva is just always better, which it wasn't pre-EoC (due to the degrade cost not being worth it for slayer - currently, Tetsu is of course horrible for slayer and so is Torva plate, with the rest of Torva being literally the only equipment with damage boost in their respective slots (also Virtus of course vs. Seasinger since barraging tasks is good)). In the end, there's really no reason to get two sets of superior armour, simply because the real reason you're getting them is the sake of getting it done. Just like you don't need to get a second Borrowed Power amulet 'just in case'.
  6. You can also hide in the spirit plane if you bring Jennica's ring with you.
  7. You are a horse-crit :P? (hypocrite, from Greek ὑποκριτής (actor, hypocrite), versus hippocrit, from a contamination/contraction of ἵππος (horse) and ὑποκριτής) Anyway I agree, if your goal is to get superior Tetsu of course it's the best to get superior Tetsu, and I'd say it's more 'completionist' that way which appeals to me as well, but it'd be wrong to say Tetsu is a 'near-perfect' substitute for Torva. So long as we realize that, it's all fine.
  8. My first floor was 80 minutes and 4 crashes, this one is looking to be a bit faster but still 3 crashes and not even at boss yet :(. What annoys me is that I have a pretty pool of water (that I can walk on) but not even the door I need to exit the bloody room. Edit: crash #4. Edit2: crash #5. Edit3: It's getting better, twenty minutes faster, and a good amount of xp too.
  9. If you sold Tetsu instead of making superior, your bank would be up 120m (30m per legs, 4 legs for a superior set) permanently. Torva probably doesn't crash 120m more, or not very soon anyway.
  10. Same thing with clogs over here. I don't think anybody wears them normally, just for tourists. Now Texans, they actually dress up as cowboys all the time!
  11. No, it really is a big difference. Ambler provides the following numbers: 2713 Destroy crit w/o armour 2927 Destroy crit with full torva 3007 Destroy crit with full void For assault, it's 3161/3412/3502. http://forum.tip.it/topic/299446-q/page__st__2440#entry5392162 So yeah, torva is actually really good.
  12. I think drop piles have changed, items now don't drop dead in the middle of a square, but sort of scattered about. I haven't seen items not dropping in the same square yet. It really has nothing to do with the grid system, that's not going anywhere any time soon.
  13. Okay guys, I get that you want to have a mature, respectful and fruitful discussion about the current job market, especially with Thatcher and the coal mines brought back to mind so recently, but please do so in the Off-Topic section and not here.
  14. But we did a couple of them on one artisan pot :D. I think it was something like 101 craft > 102 fm (4x, was polter) :P.
  15. You should probably rush the lowest 50-60% of your floors (iirc Grimy once calculated rushing up to 35 was worth it for people at 120 dungeoneering? idk). So that's 1-20ish for you. Regardless of what is efficient, it has become a tradition to do any floor from abd2 and up as large (the rest as c1/c2), as it's fairly efficient across a wide spread of dungeoneering levels. If you are doing rushes with a team, they'll often go up to 29.
  16. Inb4 trimmed comp requires 10000 sprites gathered (without getting the charm rewards ofc) :D. But yeah, charm sprites are actually pretty cool, it's just that the trees are in the way and the bushes take forever to respawn. If either one of these issues got fixed (I'm thinking the bush spawn rates/depletion rates) along with favourable xp rates, it'd be good.
  17. Plate: 400k each as Pi said. Laquer/chi: 150k each or so, 7.5m for legs. Bones: 80k each tops, not sure since I'm saving bones for superiors now. Spices: 3k each?
  18. Iirc you need to get the non-warship shipwright & non-cutthroat lodgings of the highest tier (steel) to get the last couple of upgrades, and the last warehouse doesn't count as upgrade.
  19. Mod Chris L is MCL.
  20. Morale shipwright cause morale is easy to get :3.
  21. I did a floor earlier, got a screenshot somewhere. Was about 80 mins with 4 crashes (plus a dc which is my problem). Edit: There was also a placeholder interface for xp, 888888 for the floor iirc, but I was too late to screenshot that :(. You can see a couple of rooms far, but unless you mouse-over to the exact spot you probably won't see the door, walls are in the way.
  22. Can we do slayer monsters too. And I wanna set Nex free and get torva ok.
  23. Everyone has more port score than Q :(. I'm lucky with all voyages except actually getting scroll missions rolled >.>. Ah well, at least I have 50 chi & plate sold already, and full armour sets :). Just did a 692k dging streak, now I'm tired. High dging days (consistently) are not for me. Good floors though, about 10 pot doors in all, but 13-14 mins or so average.
  24. First game crash! Door lag is pretty bad, each room needs to be loaded first I guess. Also, scroll wheel works in Chrome! I haven't used it in resizable since I used Firefox.
