  1. Well, you have Vampirism which is purely defensive so by definition limited to bossing. Cruelty and Elements increase dps, but are probably too costly (cruelty also requires that your target has a ton of health for the full bleed damage to take effect). The crit scrimshaws increase dps as well, but again cost, and overkill.
  2. 2h whips make perfect sense, although you probably end up at a meteor hammer (e.g. rope or chain with a weight at either end) or similar weapon. 1h whips are a bit weird, because they take quite a bit of space and swing to use (unlike, say, shortswords) so they are wholly unsuited to combat in confined spaces, like 2h weapons, and they are more about a longer attack range, like 2h weapons.

Melee has: +Slice - 125% +10% crit +Sever - 188% Dismember - 200% Smash - 125% Cleave - 125% per target Assault - ??? not given in-game in % weapon damage, very high anyway Whirlwind - 188% (Berserk) Ranged has: Piercing Shot - 125% Dazing Shot - 120% Frag Shot - reduced damage in PvM (hits only 3x), still hits ~950 min, ~5k max depending on movement. Piercing shot hits 2239 crit, which is about what I average with frag, so like a faster Dismember. Ricochet - 100% per target - easier to hit targets than with Cleave Snap Shot - idk, over 250% I think? Rapid Fire - 94% per 2 ticks? description says seconds but that seems wrong Bombard - 219% (Deadshot) So overall, melee has a little better basic dps, ranged has a bit better tresholds. My preferred strategy in dg is to use the best dps basics of each (So frag shot > richochet > sever) and for example alternate rapid fire and assault on Behemoth etc.. It's pretty good. @Bxp: I recently dismissed my 5th tiger, now I'm buying all Pincers crew hunting for traits :P.
  6. I used Rilo's rates. Those are per 75 minutes, so you just take 4/5 of that to get the hourly rate. I assume his rates are all for equal amounts of time, so not 45k/floor and 76k craft/3 floors :P. But it could be 45k/floor depending on what floor you did, or 70k. High warp solo meds are usually 80k+ xp.
  7. I don't think anything safespot-related got changed, but you can't use AoE abilities if you want to stay safe, probably.
  8. Lol, ouch. Incendiary shot got changed to a damage value similar to Meteor Strike I think, Jagex has slowly been removing all %health effects in favour of %weapon damage. So yeah, there goes that idea :(.
  9. Scrimshaws, like armour, appear under your grave, so they are protected by it but not affected by the 'equip all' button.
  10. Off-hand doesn't... what. So it is possible for Jagex to save autocast spell, but they don't do it? Idiots. Tribrid seems meh yeah, and I'd drop mage simply because of the stupid autocast >.>. First hit is a good point. For Gulega, is it better to melee the lot and Berserk when Assault is on cd or alternate Rapid Fire+Snap Shot/Assault+Sever? I used hood for a long while, but I got tired of being one-shot by summoning doors + 120 zombies from full lp >.>. That happened several times actually.
  11. In long floors you need more food which takes time to gather and so on. Pre-EoC when people suicided for fast floors, the very best teams were actually pretty safe (and therefore excellent xp/h), because monsters simply didn't have the time to kill you. Since EoC, monsters have only gotten weaker, so now you shouldn't need any food to survive solo, and maybe a couple of pieces in a team (soloing gds you can loot food while killing of course). Suiciding is largely gone, not because it's a bad idea, but because there aren't a lot of things to die from. Summoning skill doors occasionally hit over 4k though :(.

So we have the following rates, per hour: 36k dg 61k craft 12k wc, mine, fish Taking woodcutting at 120k/h, mining at 100k/h, fishing at 120k/h (c2), dungeoneering at 300k/h, you get 6, 7, 6 and 7 minutes saved, for a total of ~26 minutes saved per hour. That means 34 minutes to gather 61k crafting xp, which is some 107k xp/h for free. Overall, not a bad way to skill at all, but mostly for DIY players :).
  13. Nex has a damage cap at 3000, her minions at 1000. That's pretty decent with equilibrium changing a 1000-4000 assault hit to 2000-3000? Not sure how it actually works though, possibly it is a 1000 + 1-3000 hit instead, which changes it to 1750-3250.
  14. @Tui: Dual wield magic is better than staff magic because of that one basic, but you also need a full extra bind to use it, so meh. Same for battleaxes: off-hands are taken into account now as Sinkhan said, but the same dps for one more bind, and 2h weapons actually have better basics and equal tresholds. Knives are again the same, a good basic and ult, but still not really great - might as well just use deadshot with Sagittarian shortbow. The biggest advantage of knives is the ability to bind laws as ammo, so you can effectively bind two weapons to free up the ammo slot.
  15. There's still quite a lot of people with Bandos sets etc., so I'm going to guess at 50m average or so. There are some 44k people on the hiscores with 2300+ total. I would expect those to have 200m average or so, in cash, drygores, Bandos, glacor boots etc. There are quite a lot of pvmers with lower totals still, who'll also have at least a drygore weapon and some smaller pieces for totals >100m.
  16. You can get Jack of Trades for slayer/agility xp, greenfingers for herb farming, equilibrium for hunting really low health things (sub 1k or so, not sure on actual min hits with various weapons).
  17. Finished all armour scrolls, need 28 more plate for helmet :). Also got another visage from QBD, tasty.
  18. The big problem with cannons is that they don't tag. Fighting lower levelled stuff like ghouls and lesser demons (for champion scrolls) you spend al your time just trying to tag the monsters, which is really annoying with abilities and targeting. So yes cannon would be worth using, but it might be really annoying :(.
  19. Mostly GWD comes down to: Wear full t80 armour and matching t80 weapons (t90 for melee) - range Kree and melee the rest. Save adrenaline between kills. Drink adrenaline potions when possible/useful, e.g. after using an ultimate. Bring overload & renewal flasks, two per hour, for however long you want to stay. Bring a bonecruncher & demon horn necklace switch for all bosses but Kril. For Kril you may need some more prayer flasks. Bring a steel titan or yak with scrolls and spare pouches depending on how long you are staying. If you need additional healing, use multi-target abilities on the boss + minions, use Guthix' butterfly, or bring a shield and use Resonance. Pray soul split and turmoil (anguish for ranged). Disable prayer for the minions unless you are at low health.
  20. Armour pieces are too rare :(. In 9 claws I've seen two. I think maybe I've seen another duo, but idk. So yeah, ~5 claws + 5 limbs per armour piece, 3 different pieces, chances are you end up at 20ish claws+limbs before you're done :D.

  22. Hardly. Having both an attack range over one, and dps equal to primal 2h, and frag shot/ricochet? Unless there is some weird calculation going on, you have your 2h at 2360 damage, average speed (393/tick) and shortbow at 1967 damage, fast speed (393/tick). Given that there's tons of ranged weak stuff in dg that is also very annoying (entangle, summons) I'd say it's certainly worth using a bow along with 2h. As always if you have unequal tiers it's different.
  23. In principle we have no requirements. We do select people to join, but that's more of an idiot filter. If you're not familiar with EoE yet, you might want to guest for a bit and see what it's like :).

  25. I don't think dw baxes are worth it in any case, if you have them you should replace them with the same tier maul, spear or 2h. Ranged is great in dg, get a high tier bow. DW knives are meh, but at least they don't take an ammo bind. We haven't discussed any gods yet, and I don't think we will. The level of affinity is whatever you make it :P.
