  1. The weapon/armour upgrade made it much harder for you to get enough accuracy to hit most bosses. I would suggest you stick to non-boss monsters to train your combat skills. Focus especially on Summoning and Prayer. (semi-)Boss-wise the only thing you might be able to do is revenants, if you stick to the lower ones.
  2. I would suggest upgrading to Ice Blitz. It's much stronger than water wave, and only requires 82 magic (use a potion). Also, make sure you are using a high-level staff, ideally chaotic but at least polypore. For rangers, try getting a godsword. For the mages, you are using an incredibly low tier weapon. Try upgrading to at least a crystal bow, ideally royal crossbow (zaryte if you feel like it). Recently, armour/accuracy got changed. Items are now statted according to an exponential formula. That means every level higher means 5% higher stats (approx). Your magic shortbow is 20 or 30 levels below what you should be using, making its hit bonus 3-4 times lower than it should be. Also, don't use a shield. Stick to two-handed weapons to dish out the real damage.

If I read your post right, it's supposed to be a constant? There must be something wrong with the formulas? I'm guessing the armour rating is calculated simply by adding all armour pieces, then a multiplier for class, which could be (weighed) average of all worn armour, and a multiplier for defence level perhaps. You don't have 99 armour/accuracy when you're unarm(our)ed at 99 attack/defence, which you do have for strength. So I would change attack/defence to hit bonus/armour * attack/defence * prayer / 2/1.6. But really, I don't have a clue :D. @Latin/Meredith: Nice :D.
  4. You know there are four different artefacts, and you can't use the one near the centre a second time? If not that, I don't know what's happening.
  5. I haven't gotten any crew rerolls since I got my third stocked up. That's about 5 randoms without any? Not sure.
  6. A quest cape requires about 24M experience minimum. Compared to 13M for an untrimmed skillcape or 26M for a trimmed skillcape. IMO, the discrepancy in stats now can only be a result of carelessness on Jagex's part. The quest cape has had stats matching skillcapes for years and years now. Let's not forget the lower average xp rate for the quest cape, due to the lower levels involved. 77 agility/mining for ROTM anyone? I think the tier 99 stats on skillcapes are fine as rewards for getting a 99, but they are out of place right now because there is only tier 80/85 armour at best. However, it's not an immediate problem I think, as it won't increase your survivability so much that it unbalances things. TokHaar and such can use a boost though.

    With the new exponential armour progression void is less useful than it was, as you'll be hit a great deal by the stronger bosses. I'd try it, but if you find yourself dying too often just switch to Barrows or God Wars. Weapon-wise, I'd take maul. Lots of nice 2h abilities, no ammo costs. A royal crossbow backup (Dagannoth Mother for example) and chaotic staff with a stack of each elemental rune (also the Mother :P) are useful. Then, a couple of overloads and pray pots, familiar (steel > iron > uni, with scrolls), few rocktails.
  8. Finish your buyable Ports skills: Smithing, Crafting. Finish 99 Summoning. Buy a nice set of armour, maybe Virtus?
  9. Armadyl is good, you'll want Karil's crossbow with bolt racks until you get that royal crossbow forged, then use that with royal bolts. Gear: Arma chest/skirt, the rest should be your best melee equipment for additional ranged defence. Pray protect from ranged as well. Inventory: 1 overload 1 prayer renewal 1 antifire 4 pray pots unicorn scrolls uni summoned rest rocktail. Stay away from her melee range and keep close to the artefacts when a stage is at low health.
  10. If a monster is very weak, AoE attacks should be used to kill multiple at once. The only time you should use Momentum is that time when monsters die faster than you can tag them, because of your cannon plus abilities. But even then, abilities like Chain and Ricochet can help with tagging, so the monsters should be spread out as well (in which case they probably aren't worth doing anyway).
  11. It's fine to keep this in H&A for now to fill in the details, but guides belong in General Guides in principle. Use the report post function to get this moved when it's done. Good work :).
  12. I agree that Nex equipment is fairly boosted now. You'd kind of want a special effect, but on the other hand there's nothing like straight-up damage for a basic set of armour (which Bandos/Armadyl/Subjugation is and Barrows isn't, by that logic). I'm still a bit disappointed Ports armour did not get a damage boost, it just needs to be the same as Nex equipment, or maybe 10 higher for the whole thing.
  13. Most of Jagex' updates are short, one-hour-tops kind of thing. God statues for example, every recent quest (even RoTM wasn't that long). Even 'big' updates like the Crucible are really tiny updates content-wise, because are completely dead.
  14. Uh forgot that master wand now has terrible accuracy due to the exponential curve. Virtus is probably 2-3x the hit bonus now. Also got 109 dg. Yay.
  15. The attack difference is pretty huge, +120 attack would be more than 1.5% dps on bosses I think. Assuming +120 hit bonus (out of 800) is 13% of your total attack roll (120/916 with potted level, rest is multipliers), you need a pretty high accuracy for MW to be superior.
  16. How so? 3 plate * .25 merchant modifier = 3.75 rounds down to 3. 3 plate * .35 merchant modifier = 4.05 rounds down to 4. I think Fortune of the Sea and Lotus-Tinted Spectacles should provide a set amount of goods/xp. FoS could be something like: 200 extra chimes, 100 extra regular goods and 1 extra trade good. Spectacles could be +50% xp for 2000 distance or similar.
  17. Is the prayer bonus for superior Tetsu/armour new? Either way, pretty good, very motivating :). Also did one KK kill (lol. I'm not very into pvm), and it's easy if you're not tanking, very little damage taken (about 5 rocktails for a kill, and I was safing like hell). Tanks use 20+ rocktails per kill though apparently, someone even mentioned 40.
  18. Whisper provides 4.4% melee crit, not sure what you want to do with that while maging. Arcane stream is still the best necklace damage-wise at 4.9% crit. Hiss provides 4.4% and +2 prayer. Up to you if the ~.75% damage is worth it. Abs is just cheaper than chaotic, chaotic should be a little more accurate but weapon tier doesn't affect damage for magic. Ports news: Failed my 95% trait voyage to give my 700+100 level 0 morale captain another 100 morale :(. Also up to 10 chi and finished Tetsu legs scroll. Now going for Seasinger robe top.
  19. Master wand/Ahrim's wand + abs, virtus wand if you're wealthy of course. Ragefire+spellcaster or Virtus boots/gloves, virtus has higher prayer bonus. Farseer kite would be good, arcane too but it's rising pretty fast I think.
  20. Apparently dual-wield weapons still have bad dps, so the new weapons are useless on release. Also, can anyone screenshot the Nex set effects? It appears void isn't displayed like barrows.
  21. Iirc Gwyn said distance is halved for voyages not from the furthest region you have unlocked. But you do get a bit of distance.
  22. Your special missions are not affected by your focus as far as I know. That means you get the story mission you can currently access no matter what zone you are in or what zone you are focused on. For example, I get no story missions for whaler/assassin/occultist, the Bowl story mission for the Convict, but the Skull story mission for the Biologist (lol).

    For abilities, it's easy: get a high critical chance and check your max hit with criticals. Your crit on 100% damage abilities (for ranged/melee) should equal your max with autoattacks. Critical autoattacks hit 1.5x higher.
  24. Didn't get much done today in the end, little mining/smithing etc. About 1.5m overall to max now. I'm finishing challenges to have none left when I max. Charm sprites are pretty slow. Ports wise, got a second 10k captain :D. Morale focused and he came with awe-inspiring. I also have a mission to give him a second awe-inspiring so that's great. Sent out a mission for 3 chi and a scroll mission too, 4th tetsu leg scroll.
  25. That's true. I didn't really analyze this or anything, I just want to get every ship upgrade. Guess I'll go save now. So far today, third Tetsu leg scroll, story voyage, trade goods but not much jade. And a few hours lost due to visitors. Meh.
