200M in all Skills
Aha! The weak link in the chain isolates itself! The keystone to all the trickery and deception is Jebrim! Some posts 'discussing' this were removed. Please learn to recognize a joke, have your lol and move on. OT Suomi is <1m from the monthly thieving record. When he got 200m hunter, Suomi was rank 167. He is now rank 40.

Q
94% to Pincers, will end today at 96-97% probably. Finished Seasinger robe top scroll, bought enchanted figurehead (lol), still need cherrywood for bar but that's on the way. Resurrects imo should work: - Definitely personal bonusus, since you resurrect someone's spirit (otherwise it'd be called 'animate'); - Removes all traits related to own death (feeble etc., but can keep loyal and such, and staunch); - Keeps other traits, similar to personal bonusus. There's no crew with 4 traits I should think, so replacement isn't a problem; - Keeps resurrects trait (:D) and other traits, golems aren't 'alive' and they can have proper traits as well, not a problem; - Keeps level and stats following from that; - Undead trait is -50 morale per non-undead crew member including captain, so up to -250; - Does affect captains (:D); - Stops all further xp gain; - Lifeboat takes precendence. The idea that the undead age/gain experience differently is pretty classic, I know it from a D&D sourcebook somewhere (describing liches).

Dungeoneering Binds?
@Tim: Having different bind loadouts is nearly pointless, because you can't switch very fast at all. The only time it would be worth switching is when you are at ht anyway and the boss is very weak to the one style your standard loadout doesn't have (presumably magic). But I don't think any boss is that weak to magic. @OP: The best binds are: bow (hex/sagittarian short) + arrows (sagittarian), 2h melee weapon (primal maul/2h > spear), melee body (primal plate), blood necklace. That's for 90+ dungeoneering, four binds. With three binds, you probably don't have the blood necklace yet anyway, so just use bow/maul/plate. Your fifth bind can be lots of things, hood is good, platelegs as well (but they reduce ranged attack some more), sagittarian body as second switch along with bow works.

speeding through mage range and charms
Still the same, it's about a minute hidden and a minute visible? Or maybe 45 sec each, idk.

Long time vet returning have some questions
Barrows is still easy except Akrisae, apparently, who is the seventh brother you haven't unlocked yet.

Recommended minimum stats for duo GWD
For Bandos god wars: chaotic maul, Verac's, piety, war tortoise. That works out to 80 attack, 70 defence, 70 prayer, 67 summoning. The higher strength you can get with that the better, same for constitution of course. For Zamorak: blood barrage, ganodermic, augury, war tortoise. That works out to 80 magic, 75 defence, 70 prayer, 67 summoning. For Saradomin: ice barrage, otherwise same as Zamorak. Note the last two I know to work (maxed) solo, not sure on (unmaxed) duo. But the difference between 80 and 99 attack/strength is much smaller than it was pre-eoc and you should be fine because you can use the same abilities anyway.

200M in all Skills
If there are any serious concerns about impersonation, or if you see yourself impersonated, you can always get a Tip.It moderator to confirm in-game and take appropriate action. OT: Suomi needs 64m thieving to 5b, and 4m (and a bit) for the monthly record which stands at 108.6m. Three weeks gogogo :D!

Void & Slayer Helm
Gwyn posted some stuff on FSH, let me see if I can find it. Edit: http://forum.tip.it/topic/299446-q/page__st__1900#entry5336690 Not much data but the 861 crit for Chain with fsh would be 765 without it, which is a 9/8 multiplier (plus one, or rounded up, whichever you prefer).

Glacor question
They should be fixed now.

Long time vet returning have some questions
Dungeoneering-wise get a chaotic maul. Best training places are icefiends in Ghorrock for ranged, glacors for magic probably (they should be doable again now), not sure on melee. Slayer's nice for slayer xp + all-round combat xp. Popular moneymaking includes Nex, Glacors, Queen Black Dragon, Kalphite King, farming, Manage Thy Kingdom and selling leech floors.

21-Jan-2012 - Desert Tasks
I think the Ancient staff would be cool as off-hand staff. Gandalf-style :shades:.

Q
Thanks :). Not a great ports day wednesday, mostly 180-250 jade missions. But thursday has 800 jade special & a chance at the third slayer trait for my 10k combat captain, plus whaler for 600 jade and missionary Bowl story (last I need!). 84% to Pincers. Also did 4 CW games (2 win 2 loss) and won 63 Pest Control games. Ugh. About 130/500 for PC, maybe 25/100 for CW, idk about SW but less than that probably.

Bonus XP question
I believe you get double xp for the first something levels if you are a referred account yourself?

2013: What's Coming and What's Going
1) Not everybody thinks the same thing is fun; people bot nearly every game, including single player games. Changing the game won't remove RWT unless you make everything free. 2) RWT should not determine what kind of game we play, the game should not be changed at the core because some people cheat. Comp cape currently sits at about 2000-2500 hours of efficient gameplay, Alkan maxed in less iirc but not sure if that was 2475 or comp cape. It's roughly three, four years of casual play. The less you play per day, the more daily/weekly/monthly experience and high-overhead activities (GWD has killcount for example) starts affecting numbers, which makes the figure less accurate. Note that people play other games for lots of time as well. RS is grind-based, and yes people play many hours a day, but it is not unique to RS or the MMORPG genre, and in the end it is part of the game. You like it or you don't. People average what, two-three hours of watching TV per day? It's not fair to say RS is a massive outlier unless you have some figures to back it up. And reliable figures, which means not your own observations.

2013: What's Coming and What's Going
I think that final point is more nostalgia than anything else. Grinding has become more accessible as skills become easier (on the wrists and in time required to max), but grinding has been part of the game since the xp for 99 was set at ~13m. Grinding/skilling is still taboo in some parts of RS, and those people can be quite vocal about it. I think you're just in a community here on tip.it which is high-levelled and experienced, which it wasn't quite so much a few years ago. To all your other points: if they are problems, they must be solved in another way than removing grind. I don't agree with all of them being problems, but I can't be bothered arguing that right now.
-
2013: What's Coming and What's Going
We already know you don't like grind, you quit, fine. RS is a grinding-based game and if you don't like that you should find another. I have fun getting my levels, and the tougher the level the more fun it is to get. No matter how much people (including myself) may rage about how annoying some skills are, in the end we still like this game and that is in part because of the grind. Taking the grind away entirely is the last thing Jagex should do. Not that some things aren't too much (5k cw games) but in general it's fine.

Best Amulets/Rings
That depends, probably not really worth it in terms of time to max, but a lot of people (me included) like the idea of using the best-in-slot item all of the time.

2013: What's Coming and What's Going
I'm glad they admitted they were wrong or impractical at times. I agree on the balance between sizzling summer & winter weekends/aura, for example, and I'm glad they realize which way is the right way.

Glacor question
Yes you can do glacors for money. I'm not sure if magic or ranged is faster now, I'd just try magic. Use a high-tier magic weapon (Armadyl battlestaff is good). You need to get one chaotic still, for Bandos god wars and generally all melee, which is the maul. For ranged, royal crossbow, for magic, ABS. What also helps is getting a higher summoning level and dumping your elite diary xp into that as well. I would discourage thinking of yourself as 'near maxed combat'. Maxed combat primarily is: steel titan, overloads, turmoil, all equipment/abilities available, basic equipment (Barrows, maul, rxb, pps/abs) and the relevant quests done. Secondary are: untradeable equipment (goliaths, imbued rings, void, Ports armour etc.), 99s, high-tier buyable equipment (glacor boots, Zaryte bow, spirit shields etc.). You lack four of the important, primary indicators of max combat. That is not a criticsm of you or your account, but an explanation of what, in terms of kill speed and performance, is important in combat, taking "max combat = max kill speed" as baseline.

Q
Nice! I haven't had trade goods from regular voyages in forever, and doing stories for specials - dual missions don't give me anything if I do story these days :(. Plenty of trait voyages though, my combat captain has 2x slayer (please fix boost Jagex -.-), my morale captain 2x awe-inspiring and my seafaring captain has 2x plucky, awe-inspiring and seafarer (2.5k captain). Got another seafarer voyage which I can't use unless I roll a 10k seafaring captain tomorrow. Makes a good one to replace by Barmaids Tip though. 81% to Pincers, need one more story voyage to have all Bowl stories done. Recruited 4th Judge, now looking to get some jade merchants because it seems there is no stainless steel merchant, already have 6 of each basic + 2 witches + chimera/merchant (will dump chimera sometime, but no use yet, didn't roll merchants :/). 1509 port score :). @Druvovic, Gwynrwyrn, Kaida: Thanks :).

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
Does anyone know if dual missions got updated? For the second time now, I sent one of a pair of adventurers, and the other simply doesn't leave any missions at all. It's really annoying to miss out on scrolls/resources like this. I'm very sure I have split pairs before and that I did get replacement single-adventurer missions, amongst which a scroll. I did have the stories done of the adventurers left, in case that matters.

Looking for Beginner QBD Guide
Ganodermic, blood blitz, tortoise with food. Max your ranged defence with helmet/boots/gloves. The specials are the same as they were pre-eoc, so use the tip.it guide for that.

Bandos Runs--Equipment Question?
Magic works well enough, but it's not as good as melee. At your stats, I'd go for a godsword and some barrows gear (Verac's). If you don't want to/can't get that, get ganodermic and polypore. Infinity is definitely not good, you'd be better off selling it and getting melee equipment. Infinity is valuable enough that you can get everything you need.

Defeating TokHaar-Hok (Brink of Extinction)
Ice barrage is great because you don't have to watch the stuns, you can also freeze the meleers and evade them mostly. Magic armour also has higher melee defence than melee armour, and you can get cheap tier 75 equipment (gano) unlike you can for melee. The most important thing is that you use Protect from Melee. It protects you (almost) entirely from Hoks attacks.
