So far from stories I've had 25 chi, 25 laquer, 50 plate, 25 bone. Sent 100 spices, which is the sixth and last Pincers story. Triples are worth another 50 laquer, 50 plate, 50 chi, 50 bones. You can merchant all of these to obtain 30% more. Regular pincers voyages are 5 trade goods per lot, also merchantable to be 6. You can get stuff pretty quickly in the end. Just smithed superior Tetsu legs, 126k smithing xp.

I'm at the Pincers. There's no more zones. Also unlocked the Shambling Lair and finally rolled Pincers crew and bought the Rudder that Parts the Seas. +600 speed yay :). Smithed superior Tetsu legplates just now, 126k free smithing xp :3. Convict story returned safe, Whaler is on the way, that's the last one I need.

Imo any method which is not consistent is not making a boss 'soloable' in the metagame sense. If you can solo a boss one in twenty attempts (and die every other attempt), then that's a fair balance imo.

Will it be possible to consistently 100% scroll and trade good voyage missions in the pincer if you've maxed out your crew/ship? Assuming level 10 in all crew & captain at level 10 with +400 from traits: 2400 * 5 = 12000 from crew 1800 from captain 1350 * 2 from deck 1400 from hull 800 from figurehead For seafaring, reduce the total by 1000. Then multiply by 1.03 for morale and combat and 1.05 (or 1.03*1.02, not sure) for seafaring. That gives you the maximum of 19261 for combat and morale, and 18585 for seafaring. The requirements are 20k single stat. So, no, not all scroll/trade good voyages can be 100%ed.

According to the in-game guide, glaivens/steads/ragefires require 75 ranged/attack/magic and 85 defence. So I don't see what the whole fuss is about. About the quest, it's way too short and really boring. Delrith (and other quest bosses) need to scale by your combat level to make them somewhat interesting.

- The Steel titan melee special attack power has been increased. - The Crescent Isle has been added to the Archipelago Map in Player Owned Ports. - Players are no longer guaranteed a Player Owned Ports random event reward if they have the maximum amount of a certain type of reward. Yay, yay, but what exactly is the final fix? And no fix for the Slayer trait boosting Morale? (edit: nvm missed the word 'reward', ty Gwyn) Flash mobs look meh. Quest, yay :).

Current voyages are the Occultist for 5 chi, the Whaler for 5 plate, the Biologist for 25 bones/story and the Shambling lair. My available voyages are the Assassin for 30 spice or 25k xp, 5 chi, 5 plate and the slayer trait - my designated slayer trait captain isn't back for six hours. The scroll mission succeeded, 1/4 Death Lotus tops. About 40 steel off the rudder but I haven't sent any steel voyage and won't until all these 15h voyages are back :(.

I don't think three merchants is necessary at all, you rarely get three missions you want to use one on anyway. That's especially true after you maxed your stainless steel upgrades.

Tut-tut, not all stories done yet? I think distance is still helpful, it goes up to 1.5m for another reason than just points. I think the difficulty of missions is in part based on distance - at 1.5m you'd expect much more difficult missions with higher steel returns.

+31 plate (one partial success on Convict, one full success on Missionary) +25 chi (Occultist) +25 laquer (Assassin) With reroll, sent out 70% of 20k combat for a scroll, death lotus top. On track to finish stories pretty quickly at this rate. Also rolled Shambling Lair unlock.

I just got partial success on the Convicts Pincer story voyage. Got 6 (?) plate with jade merchant. OK.

The fourth ship encourages planning your voyages a lot more than just three, exactly because of the limit of 25 crew. It also increases the value of units like the Bowl and Pincers special units.

You could probably alternate alch/tb. But it sounds like a lot of effort - curious to see if you can keep it up. You can try casting on blue dragonhide (also decreases your accuracy a lot), that way you splash and there's no spell to cancel. In P2P, people used to train this way with curse spells and alchemy. With EoC changes, getting your accuracy down to zero is impossible though.

If you have plenty of jade, are you use you have enough crew, ship upgrades, the 4th ship etc.? The 4th ship is crucial. [hide=Also this...] Yay :).[/hide]

Bloody missions >.>. Rerolled slate, then rerolled a pair of 120 jade missions, then I get bamboo and a trait I can't use -.-. Ended up with cherrywood and no more rerolls - still have time to send at least 3 more voyages. Lucky one of them is for bones at least, that should cover some distance :S. Did get fancy red curtains for my bar. 1588 port score. Should hit ~1600 by the time I get Pincers.

Not sure :P. Either magic or ranged, probably the same requirement of tier 80 attack and tier 70+ defence with 70 prayer and 67 summoning.
