  1. Update post said: I think that implies that it does heal you from regular attacks from major bosses. "Big hits" being the specials, as opposed to the regular attacks.
  2. Melee would work perfectly fine, chaotic maul for instance. Black demons aren't strong enough for the difference to be huge. If you aren't using extremes and Rigour yet, that should help too. Don't ever rely on regenerate though, bring a bunyip with scrolls and some raw food.
  3. Superior has better stats, is untradable and can be repaired compared to the lesser tradable set with lower stats and 1 time use. ... I know all about that and I still find no reason to own it ... Possibly it's being updated to degrade like Nex equipment, which would make it more viable. Even with that, if you have Nex equipment, Ports armour is useless.
  4. 3 prayer bonus does nothing, demon horn isn't very useful either. Just go with your crit boosting amulets, highest you can.
  5. Selling champion scroll guide, 1 gp. 50% chance you're done by the time you're out of overload! Also great prayer xp!
  6. Afaik all the stuns have a shared cooldown (barge, bash, kick, backhand, impact, binding shot?) as well as all the movement (surge, escape, barge) and then the two dual wield basics (havoc, decimate). @Tui thanks, didn't know about snap shot :). Did notice it with Assault before. It'd be cool to have hybrid weapons, as in: Hand-and-a-half swords, warhammers, axes, spears (hasta?) which are 2h weapons, or 1h weapons with a shield 'unsheathed' (so you can keep it equipped but inactive). You could make a simple mechanic where they gain 1 attack speed when used 2h. As lighter 2h weapons, they'd be fast for 2h or slow for 1h. Staff weapons and stuff you can spina round, as hybrid dual wield/2h - can use both abilities. Hybrid shield/dual wield - defenders! Up to the highest tier please :D. Idk what they would be for ranged though. Guess you could have hand-and-a-half crossbows and javelins, and detachable shieldbows?? point is it should be easy to switch between them though, without getting the global cooldown for gear switching. Shield/dual and 2h/dual would be weird though. For magic it's easy because it's all made up anyway. Get your shortstaff, your off-hand shield-orb-force-thingy and your two-headed staff ready for battle :P. Edit: Naturally you can make a 3x3 table with weaknesses: Stab/slash/crush Arrow/thrown/bolt Water/earth/fire (???) Air is left over, how inconvenient (no-weakness spell? idk). Either way, your monsters would be weak to one corner of the triangle and one corner of the other triangle.
  7. Should be noted it can't be repaired unless fully degraded :(.

Yes, but I'd still advise an experienced tank if you can find one. I'm not much of a Nexer myself, but the 5? kills I did (with a good team) were pretty easy, because the tank draws a lot of the bad stuff (ice prison for instance) and stages aren't too long with enough dps, so you can recover a bit. If you bring good weapons (drygore/maul + royal), it should be fine. What really helps is a high kill speed, so don't all go with master wands or something, you'd die because you ran out of rocktail. Also, don't rapid fire on her deflect ranged, I took 4k+ damage in 5 secs that way :( (yes I suck :().
  9. Very theoretically, you could go straight for a chaotic staff :D. It's really the best DIY magic weapon, because it's 100% guaranteed, requires only one skill and only up to 80, and it's (tied for) the best staff in the game.
  10. Well... you should be killing things for 90% of your highest income if it's good xp... (more than 6 minutes of your highest xp/h per hour).
  11. Tormented demons are another exception, you only take one damage for a hit with the right prayer on. For glacors, the protection is over 50% but they always dealt small damage through protects, that hasn't changed. Finally, resonance should work fine on jads because they have no special attacks. It works on bosses, not on specials, which is especially relevant for lp - 1 attacks like Nomad's.
  12. First of all, switch to a crystal bow as soon as you can, it's cheap and powerful. I'm assuming dragon crossbows are too expensive right now. Upgrade to royal dragonhide for added defence, or use void for added damage. Use an amulet of ranging as well if you can afford it. Until 70 ranged, try kiling dragons if you need money. Black/greater/lesser demons and waterfiends might be good xp, waterfiends are good for charms for sure.

1h weapons won't do a lot of damage, and Reflect doesn't work on Nex, but maybe you can make Revenge work, especially if you aggro some blood reavers?
  14. Throughout the thread people refer to 'most people think/feel/want' regarding opinions on EoC/2007scape. Until we have poll results about this - and I mean a RuneScape-wide poll, not Tip.It or any fansite, nor the 2007scape petition because it does not concern EoC - please don't use any arguments that rely on this. It's just bad form to present an opinion as majority opinion if you have no evidence. When nobody disagrees with the opinion, this would not be a problem, but right now it has become an important aspect of the discussion so it is better to drop it altogether.
  15. 200M all skills in RS pre Spin2Winscape is just as valid a discussion topic if not more so than what we currently have. Indeed, and if you restrict your discussion to that, it's fair game. Let me note: Any discussion about whether 2007scape should be released or not, and who votes for what and why, is off-topic and as such not allowed. There is enough (rather heated) discussion going on on the dedicated thread. This thread is exclusively for discussing the viability, length and methods of getting 200m xp in all skills at least where 2007scape is concerned.
  16. That is definitely something I can see happening, 2007scape being heavily botted and filled with gambling from the start.
  17. Cause I was just making it anyway, list of ability categories for generic ability book: Basics Melee Magic Ranged Standard Slice Wrack Piercing shot Stun Backhand, Bash Impact Binding shot Kick, Barge Damage over time Dismember Combust Fragmentation shot Combo Fury - Snipe Multi-target Cleave Chain Ricochet Big hit Sever, Havoc Dragon breath Snipe Tresholds Double hit - Wild magic Snap shot Combo Assault, Destroy Asphyxiate Rapid fire Flurry Area attack Hurricane, Quake Detonate Bombard Ultimates Big hit Overpower, Meteor Omnipower Incendiary shot strike Big hit with DoT Massacre - Deadshot Damage boost Berserk Metamorphosis - Area attack Frenzy Tsunami Unload Combo Frenzy - Unload Specials: Force move Kick Fast movement Barge Surge Escape Target damage reductor Pulverize, Sever Disable protects Smash Treshold DoT Slaughter Bonus damage Punish, Decimate Wrack Piercing Shot Class-independant User damage reductor Anticipate, Immortality, Barricade, Debilitate (melee), Provoke Autoattack boost Momentum Healing Resonance, Regenerate, Rejuvenate, Immortality Reflecting Reflect Anti-stun Freedom, Anticipation Cooldown shortener Preparation Special Incite, Single-way wilderness, Revenge For the whole of RS, you could do with a lot less abilities if you got rid of the duplicates. Also, melee-biased at all? Smash, Debilitate, Kick, Decimate - all abilities that should work with ranged & magic or have variants for ranged & magic.
  18. Let's stop talking about the EoC as one big change. Yes, it was released in one go, but it is not at all indivisible. For example, the action bar is almost universally appreciated, though it can do with improvement. Equalizing dps across all classes (sort of, anyway) is also popular. Making magic and ranged cheaper is also popular. The graphics are also popular. Then there are a bunch of things that maybe aren't too popular or that people don't really care about, such as the new armour system with massive lp boosts, the way most equipment has no damage/accuracy bonus, critical hits, abilities etc.. Personally I feel the old strength vs. attack bonus system should've been rolled out to magic/ranged as well (but with more significant attack differences like DG), there should've been lp boosts roughly proportional to Nex equipment, soak should've been reversed (affecting low hits more than high hits) to counter the advantage of fast weapons with high strength bonusus, spells and bolts shouldn't be 100% of the damage, weapon speeds should've been increased (7 tick 2hs? 9 tick dark bows? no thanks), then you can add dual wield etc. no problem. Right now I'm so used to abilities that I think some generic ability system could also been done - abilities like slice/piercing shot/wrack are basically the same, just like the DoT basics (combust, dismember, frag shot), the stun basics (backhand, kick, bash, binding shot, impact - only mage stun deals damage), the big hit ults (meteor, incendiary, overpower, omnipower), the dps boost ults (meta form, berserker), the DoT + hit ults (deadshot, massacre), the AoE tresholds (bombard, whirlwind, detonate). *cough* maybe that's enough listing. Anyway, point is, would be fine with classless abilities which are restricted by weapon type (2h, 1h, range or not etc.). But all those things I'd rather have than the current, there are still a lot of parts of the EoC that are nice and worth having.
  19. How strong are jads anyway, as prayers can only neglect 50% damage now... Thus, if their damage has been reduced, wouldn't you just be able to soul split through it(within reason, ofcource)? I've soulsplitted jads in void (with titan), but I died on the third, so it is possible but only barely and not consistently. That was before the accuracy/defence changes, so now Jads presumably would have much higher accuracy and your success rate would be lower, also because you lose titan dps. Anyway, protect prayers work 100% as Tans said, so just pray switch.
  20. CW feedback thread, check the posts by the mod in charge there, idk which one it is, but it's in there somewhere. Should note that he said it was the best way, not that he'd implement it, so I presume he meant effective rather than preferable.
  21. Meg has the strange property that she doesn't (always) appear the first time you log in past midnight/early morning on Wednesday. She'll be there the second time you log or if you log after a few hours.
  22. None of the pages sell for anything near GE price. For items that are not traded in excessive amounts (and then some, like broad arrowheads), GE is irreparably broken since EoC. Take ceremonial robes, for example. You will never buy them for GE price; and nobody will be stupid enough to sell them for any less than they bought it. Funny you should say that, I bought robes today, and they all went for about 10% below med except gloves which are twice med (700k for gloves, vs. <300k for the rest).
  23. Fight kiln is same as caves, you just got to save some space for crystals, watch your safespotting/location and bring something to deal with dills (I'd suggest titan but that's kind of impossible now, so, pickaxe?).
  24. I'm not sure how long you need, probably 40 minutes or so? So that'd be one flask each of (extreme) attack, strength, magic and ranged, plus two vials of renewal. Then add ~8 pray pots, runes, the rest rocktail or shark. Vampirism aura if you want more healing, but it should be fine. Obsidian has tier 60 stats rather than tier 80 atm, and the damage reduction intended for it hasn't been implemented yet I think? It's still the best tribrid equipment I suppose.
