Given that RL is not part of the game, that's rather lame >.>. We didn't/don't have anti-RWT rules for nothing. The point is to give everyone an equal game, ignoring RL except for membership payments and time played. Working RL to gain things in RS is not playing the game anymore, so as such I think it is definitely less respectable than actually playing the game (for your achievements). Just like with everything: if you prefer your job to RS, then max out your job or something :P.

You can only have three icons, and it's definitely worth building a few because often it's better to focus on a subset of adventurers. For example for the triple stories, or if you're hunting plate etc., icons will boost the chances of getting the right adventurers. Edit: also don't forget the chance to attract two adventurers isn't 100%. @TheRealSycz2k: I'd get the rudder, judge of dice (if possible) and a couple of basic crew first.

Lol. Story voyages are the best thing for a large port score! [hide][/hide] Kidding aside, port score is possibly getting added to the hiscores. It's one of the suggestions that Mod Edam took in and is looking at.

97-99 farming: If you haven't done Livid Farm, now is the time. Torstol runs with juju potions, high tier Greenfingers aura and Remote Farming are great profit too, and not bad xp (I have 15m+ farming xp only from torstol). Trees aren't really useful compared to torstol especially since you mention you want to profit. 70-99 mining and 86-99 slayer take a while, plenty of time to max farming. Woodcutting: C2 woodcutting (with fishing if you want fishing xp, but you maxed that) and arctic pines. C2 for only woodcutting probably requires a team to clear the dungeon for you to be better. Along with fishing, it's definitely faster. Slayer: what Mere said. Summoning: Icefiends in Ghorrock or dagannoths under Waterbirth, you should get this from slayer though. Mining: Concentrated gold with urns+lava titan, dropping ores. The mining suit is actually worth it - it takes about 10 hours to get, you gain about 300-350k mining xp in that time, and you could've gotten about 600-650k doing granite in that time (so you lose ~5 hours). You earn back the 5 hours going from 80-99 mining. With about 4% bonus xp including urns, that's 125 hours for 11m mining xp. Not that you gain a whole lot, but hey free shiny armour :D.

Succeeded 13 plate voyage, up to 41 plate, rolled 5 chi, will get me up to 74 chi (or still 68 ofc). No good captain as usual but recruited another band + merchant, harem waiting to be recruited. Got 3 band/harem/merchant/jod atm, 1 ox, 5 bounty hunter, 3 sea dogs, 4 farcrier.

Do you? Constructed does not include shipwright and lodgings upgrade. Feel free to correct me if I made a mistake. According to Whynotnow, yes. That's one reason seafaring is imbalanced. Not all buildings seem to be equal in score, for example the Luxurious bar awards 20 points.

Anyway, bought Pincers morale deck item, sold abs (17m!), did about 35k Livid (710k now), closing in on max ports distance (1478k/1500k). 1817 port score. No luck with triple voyages, captains or crew yet :(.

If novice quests keep getting reduces to easier-than-Cook's Assistant levels, why would people be encouraged to finish later quests >.>? He gave me back silverlight, then halfway through the kill I thought it would be a good idea to bank and get darklight. I felt so cool when it worked. I own Silverlight and two Darklights now... these swords are getting common. Dual wield please :D.

You need the steel shipwright/lodgings upgrade for max port score so might as well go for those imo. Mod Edam has taken note of the idea that seafaring deserves a compensation for not having shipwright/hull at the highest tier and no bow items whatsoever. Whether that means we're going to get something... maybe.

I think primal maul is definitely good, and your armour pieces are so weak that they aren't worth it. Hood would be nice as 5th. If you were using a chest piece, one of your attack styles would get a big penalty to accuracy - 15%. For that reason, I would prefer the higher dps styles (melee and ranged) with a melee body, dropping mage. At 50 defence though, a plate isn't worth it anyway.

So your choices are to get the "free" level 85 version, or to make the tradeable version and sell it to buy level 80 armor? I get the feeling that this wasn't thought through very well :razz: To buy level 80 armour which is better* Important difference.

Yes. Staff. Unless by pvm you mean something which requires a shield, in which case farseer kite or chaotic kite would be better (cks with drygore).

Yes, get your 4th ship, if you have no problem hitting the speed cap. If you do, get the rudder first.

13 chi succeeded! Up to 63 now, got another 10 plate lined up :o. Also did some quick Scythe voyages with my nooby Harems of Fortune Tellers (two of them level 0 > 2). No more Pincers crew to recruit today, no good captain, but my 13 chi voyage got me a barmaid random and that got me an adventurer reroll. Add to that, 235k cash from SoF (2x small 1x med cash bag), you got one lucky reset :D. Also got 4 more hybrid gloves and another hybrid helmet, got 2 each of all gloves/tops and 1 of each helmet + keepsaked Vanguard gloves/top/helm. Thanks so much to everyone who joined tonight :). If you want some FoG boosting, join Baraxil's fc, there are still some people so it might get going again. Edit: revamped my equipment tab just because. Removed all the difficult items that wouldn't fit (fsh, bonecruncher etc.) :P. Not the auras and glacor boots placeholding for hybrid, also of course degradables can't have placeholders. And yes, I keep massive amounts of junk, that's the second to last tab.

You want all attack styles, so bring abs + water/earth/fire, also bring royal crossbow and maul, superantifire. Void is great for most bosses but for some (DNE monkeys) you may want a bit more defence, probably something simple like barrows equipment.

Yes your setup is a good one. Replace your promethium platebody with primal, but legs aren't so good. And of course if you get a blood necklace use that. @xpx I don't think tribrid is really worth it compared to a blood necklace. Maybe compared to hood, though it's slightly annoying.

Rewards include abilities. This is tasty. I want this quest now.

It's +1% afaik, you can test it with the Whaler's 100 spice mission :P.
