  1. if u do, no Mary Sues' plz. nobody likes fan fiction with a Mary Sue, except the author.
  2. Slightly off topic question, but still relevant. Was your calculation done with or without the bonus from the seers diary? Remember that the diary gives a permanent increase in all bolts activating their special, and thus could have a large impact on your results depending on if the player completed the diary or not. I assumed 33% activation in my original calculation. and I have seers diary active on my account, so my data test would be with seers elite on. anyways a 7 man team with handcannons and ruby bolts just nexed, and most of us recorded xp. Overwhelmingly, ruby bolt users gained more xp each nex kill, than the handcannoners. presumably we all all the ruby bolters were using seers diary.
  3. This. On a related note, it's worth it to buy a novite kiteshield in the beginning of the dungeon if you didn't manage to pick up an anti-dragon shield. This lets you use your tank ring through the entire dungeon. If you need to later, you can upgrade your shield to something better. I'm not sure if a surgebox counts as a shield though, if you happen to have that bound. andrew calcs says surgebox does not count as shield, and he's an exceptional keyer, who used tank ring while keying last i checked.
  4. it's not impossible that blood forfeit with a high accuracy build can out-DPS the handcannon. it definitely does if you assume blood forfeit activates 33% of the time. I did a VERY small sample pool of shots (~100 shots + 20 activations in duel arena) and yeah, like that I just said, the activation rate seems to be around 20%, my data points to about 18-19%, i forget, it's in my data log somewhere. but yeah, not blood bolts might be better.
  5. it's pretty standard to just tank the marked for death so you can get more damage out. The main reason is to avoid letting nex teleport around, which drastically reduces the team's damage output. it's pretty easy to tank through the blood phase at any rate. as for melee, some people think you're more accurate with 210+ ranged bonus, than with say, a chaotic maul. you can use ruby bolts to abuse the high accuracy, and many players think this gives you a higher damage output than say, void with ruby bolts. also in response to dragon, I don't think that's what stokenut meant by don't run. I'm pretty sure he just meant, don't run. the marked for death sequence isn't that devastating in reality.
  6. it looks like the wolf cast some spell on the player. quick, everybody buy out green d'hide armor. It's members-only AFAIK. Which again raises the question why they'd feature a soloer in rune lol. good point, blue d'hide it is! red and black d'hides are probably 2 high range 4 the target audience.

  8. This. So what, somebody who can't speak from a neutral standpoint has never any right of speaking.. He can't see the two sides of a coin, and always thinks he's best, with zealous ambition.. Really maybe you "believe" in him (like you believe in a religion) - but that doesn't give him any right to speak (just like religion is in no position to speak). is it just me or does your standpoint not seem very neutral either.
  9. gracias anyways I love how MMG is all banzai for this, with his first comment in his CC then the comment that was erased in the recent forum post. It's like some of Jagex isn't in support with him, but oh well :P
  10. Im not in 100% support of free trade. But if they do decide to release it, then the sooner they do it the better. the economy's been in an indecisive gutter for a little too long for my tastes :P
  11. point was im 99 in herblore-cooking-fletching-crafting-magic :P smithing was a good suggestion tho. But I am planning to max that with lrc superheat, so this might not be ideal but meh.
  12. yeah so waiting for ur team to KC can be a pain. I don't have many bank skills left. aside from FM but im 98 in that so that won't last me long. what else can i do. Aside from like fletch broad bolts for profit. and maybe (unf) pots for profit.
  13. they aren't that good for charm drops in my experience :P there are much better things out there at any rate. main reason is that they're one of his most frequent tasks at his slayer level. if that task isnt above average, even if it's slightly below average, it's worth blocking.
  14. duradel gives you on average, 24 points per task. that means you can skip 4 out of 9 tasks. he has 28 different tasks he can assign presumably you can block 4 of them (maybe 5, but i doubt it) at70 slayer, you simply cannot receive 10 of these tasks. so that leaves you with 10 tasks, 4 of which you can block. leaving 14 tasks after blocks, of which I would recommend you pick 6 which you always skip using slayer points. leaving you with 8 tasks to always do. Anyways block the following: warped tortoises (which you might not be able to receive as a task due to lack of questing) dust devils kalphites (unless you unlocked the new dungeon in speak to evil, and are willing to cannon) probably waterfiends due to low combat level the rest is up to you tbh.
  15. id use dfs on living rocks. I'd also block living rocks tho.
  16. you should read vexn's guide in the general guides section more comprehensive information on effigies does not exist anywhere else.
  17. yeah but D&D dice roll based gameplay is pretty well accepted right now.
  18. The reason is because jagex is lazy. They copied and pasted several properties from dungeoneering instead of making new, original code. Nex has thunderous' grapple attack. and Kalger's 500 damage cap.
  19. Jmods should post on TIF tbh I rarely read RSOF, too many idiots. :P
  20. anybody got any info on diamond bolt spec? like what %age of target defense it ignores. and how much it boosts max hit i doubt there's much info on the former, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
  21. ancient mages in the KC room + the 4 specialist mages in nex's room.
