Junk trading fails. I have loads of junk, but if i wasn't making that junk i probably would have got the same if not more in cold hard cash playing GOP than i would making crappy unstrung bows.

Jagex seems to want to make combat every other skill rolled into one. Monsters drop ores, sometimes faster than you can mine them. Monsters drop weapons. Monsters drop food... Monsters drop jewelery... Monsters drop runes... Monsters drop arrows... Monsters drop herbs (though i guess herblore was out before farming..)

I find it sad that i laughed for a while at that. :thumbsup:

Merchanting. Mining Clay. Turning Clay into soft clay. Yews. Great orb project. The anchovy pizza thing. 25k tricking. Killing giants, collecting bones (only for fast reflexes people) Theres quite a few decent ways of making money in f2p. Most of which have minimal requirements, Yews are popular because they have "relatively" high requirements, giving the illusion of good cash, require less banking, less skill, and less concentration than some of the other methods.

Is it any different from grinding combat for bragging rights. Or playing other games.

For f2p its one of the better ways of making cash.

A comment on the safing section. Say you and your opponents max hit is 23 right? Well, even at 24 HP, its actually possible to hit once with your arrow, and then quickly pull the 2h out before your opponent gets a chance to eat, making the potential max hit something more like 36 (extremely unlikely, and if not timed properly you can probably eat half way through, but still) Most people in pvp ive found eat over 20 because you can stack 2 hits together with realitive ease, and if your opponent even lags a tiny bit can pull out your 2h and ko before they eat a lobster.

You could always get friends to help. I mean this is a multi player game, maybe if your a low level you should need friends help.

Lags like hell. Unlike some other games lag will screw you up alot in that game, and the servers are all american or something so pfft.

You would eventually hit, even with best defence.

Yea, but if you manage to get in first, and early dump like the generals do, then you get rich as well. Like if your on the CC right as they tell everyone to do iron ore, are really fast, use all ur cash on ore, you can double ur cash. Also, you can't fault the merch clan owners, money is the root of all evil.

Only i still get way way more willows than i do yews. Anyway 1-60 is hardly a grind, you can almost afk it while watching tv and it takes like a week.

I'm thinking someone with minimum requirements should JUST be able to beat it, but still challenging for higher levels.
