  1. Yeah? Jagex clearly stated that f2p deserves updates and f2p is not just a demo version of the game. P2P gets enough updates per month. Wow I had to state this 2-3 times. This is a balancing update of the triangle, that won't benefit f2p mage so greatly that all p2p mages just go and play f2p. Jagex seeks to attract f2p players to subscribe to p2p, and the best way is to entice them with incomplete spellbooks/armor types/etc so they will want to get p2p. Honestly, these snobby and selfish p2p players makes me sick. How the hell does the $5 you pay give you an opinion in what Jagex should update? You think they care about your freaking $5? Leave if you want, and I gurantee you, more people will surely take your place and Jagex will earn more. P.S. You blame f2p for lousy grammar and spelling in spam threads while you can't even spend some time improving yours. Lol wut? When have I ever blamed F2P for bad spelling? The general of members. In short, the more updates F2P gets, the less likely F2Pers will go P2P, proving your argument, wrong. :shame:You know what? The less updates f2p gets, the faster they will get bored and NOT subscribe to p2p. So they should get more updates to a certain extent. I'm not asking Jagex to become a non profit organisation and give everything away to f2p, just to balance out the situation in f2p. EDIT: The fact that we pay and you don't gives away alot. #-o Interesting. And how much do you pay? $5. I don't want to waste money, but does that mean we f2pers deserve a lousy game? I don't think so. There are tons of good free games on the internet, and we can always play them. Either you're richer or you are addicted to RS so you feel like forking out $5.
  2. There's nothing wrong with price manipulation. Its just people buying low and selling high. Look at the RL example of property, stock etc. Investors buy stuff at a low price and when the price skyrockets, they sell it off. So? If price manipulation is wrong, a few million people would be in jail now. And for those jerks who say the people who manipulate the price are jerks who force them to be unable to afford a certain item... too bad then. Its your fault that you didn't buy it earlier. Or just wait until the price comes down again and buy it.
  3. Unless you were to PM them first, they would not be given the option. But... How would you know they were trying to PM you in the first place? And wouldn't taht also apply while you're trying to PM them? Maybe a better solution would be a kind of pop up message or something that says " So-and-so wishes to be able to PM you" or something like that.
  4. Heard of something called a sweatshop? Count of "RWT didn't ruin RS, anti-rwt updates ruined rs!" threads: 6

  6. Ahem. Perhaps I could direct you to a large curved sword that is as fast as a dagger (impossible but still true), stronger and more accurate. Erm... I think the dagger... is POINTLESS, with such a overpowered weapon to compete with. Other than ddp++'s special.
  7. I have learnt that carrying 28 coal ore/any other ore/1billion coins in you bag does not make you stronger but punching a rat does. I have learnt that a whip does more damage than a huge 2handed sword/maul. I have learnt that 100000000000000000000000 coins weigh 0kg. I have learnt that fishing a shrimp makes you more capable at catching a shark. I have learnt that sewing leather armor makes you more competent in crafing jewelry. I have learnt that a tree is more dangerous than a human. (random events) I have learnt that you need to use more strength chopping a tree than attacking a human. (go to draynor and chop a willow tree, you will take wide swinging chops. Then, click attack on a dark wizard nearby.)
  8. You and the author are assuming too much. How do you know how many RS players play funorb. I play funorb as much or slightly less than RS, and funorb is always a good place to relax from the constant stress of training in RS. Don't assume that because the majority of multiplayer games in funorb have few players so funorb is unpopular. Look in the lobby of arcanists or armies of gielinor. Jagex is wasting far too much of their resources on customer support. I mean seriously who cares about most of those people. If jagex cuts down on those customer support staff, they can spend more time on the game itself, improving it so as to shut those whining noobs up (yeah right fat chance). A small bug in ANY reasonably major update will flood the forum with complaints. And some noobs even complain that jagex is keeps too many things to themselves and don't spend resources on public relations... WTH
  9. Exactly. When I first joined (which wasn't too long ago anyway), there wasn't much spam posts. Now I have a record of 4 "RWT didn't ruin RS-Jagex did" threads... Still not bad compared to the RSOF, but the community is definitely worsening.
  10. I think the cost of the spells alone would be enough for stopping abuse. Also, the quest is of moderate difficulty for members and proabably one of the toughest quests for f2p.
  11. Support, though I usually click "cast low alchemy" instead
  12. But you've got to stick to the level requirements. An iron scimitar is ineffective at level 94 also. I'm just saying that FTP is fine except for the high end spells, which is namely a problem because they don't have any. Add another set of elementals and boost the requirements for the lower level ones :P Yeah and some better bind spells and perhaps a set of robe bottoms that is non degradable?? I find it absurd that mages don't even have proper robe bottoms. I mean SERIOUSLY... Melee has like 7+ types that are non-degradable...
  13. Very true. I think the concept of one overpowered weapon/armour/skill/whatever other thing has been implemented too much in computer games. There are very few games where there is no superior weapon (most of the time some dumb sword is the best weapon). If Guthix was the most powerful god in Gielinor other than the elder gods, he should have the power of balance to restore all weapons to a balanced level, instead of having so many pointless weapons and a few severely overpowered weapons. The few types of weapons in RS (don't say stab/slash/crush) - Weapons that are overpowered in nearly all ways - e.g. ye olde scimitar for f2p, ye olde whip for p2p. - Weapons that are used for the sole purpose of special attacks - e.g. the infamous dragon claws, armadyl godsword, dark bow, dragon dagger P++ and many more. - Weapons that are left out. ie useless in all situations save a select few. e.g. THE mace (I can't even think of a situation where the mace is useful), warhammers, shortswords, daggers, etc.
  14. So? What's the point of restating the obvious point? Who doesn't know that crushing weapons are slow and stabbing weapons are weak? The REAL problem is that crushing weapons don't give enough power/accuracy to justify them being very slow and stabbing weapons don't give enough speed/power to justify them being weak. Therefore, Jagex should do a major revamping of these weapons.
  15. Another "make melee overpowered and don't care about mage and range" thread.  No armor should ever be invincible to any others.
  16. P.S. Can't jagex just include a simple "total xp" calculator or something? They have the "total level" calculator but not a "total xp" calculator. i think they did that on purpose, just for sites like this. What do you mean? I'm too lazy to get a sig, if that is what you mean and I don't want to be flamed by noobs saying "get lost you f2p low level noob lol only 700 total level" or whatever.
  17. I support, it would be a very convenient addition. I suppose you got the idea from funorb? However, a minor concern would be beggar/noobs pming you. Especially when you can't hear them as you turned off public chat.
  18. Know of something called green d'hide? Or for that matter, a prayer called "protect from magic"? Come on. There are a lot of mages if FoG because of the free runes, not because magic is overpowered there. Either you're a noob or they're experts at FoG.
  19. Too bad, I can't. I am still trying to get that freaking 12.5M xp thingy to get to post on the RSOF. Looking at all the flaming and spamming on f2p threads, I already feel discouraged. I mean, what's the point of making a thread if you know people are going to flame you and spam up the thread? Those immature members are complaining about the fact that f2p will complain too much while they're complaining too much themselves... WTH... P.S. Can't jagex just include a simple "total xp" calculator or something? They have the "total level" calculator but not a "total xp" calculator.
  20. Yeah? You want to challenge Jagex on that? They clearly stated that magic was supposed to be boosted in power and it should be considered an individual part of the combat triangle, not a stupid support skill, when the made RS2. Frankly, I'm sick of noobs saying mage is supposed to be a support skill or mage wasn't meant for pvp or other stuff. Mage is just a waste of money while fighting with monsters other than bosses/in a team. It is weak in f2p pvp but who says it WASN'T made for it. Therefore, we have a right to demand that jagex improves f2p mage. Seriously, why can't those noobs let go of their melee and look at the severely crooked triangle?
  21. Seriously.... I though tip.it's community had an overall higher maturity level than the RSOF...lol Record: 5th thread about "ANTI-RWT updates ruined RS!" I don't see why a mod didn't lock this pointless thread. Its spam. Seriously look at the RSOF. This thread is a exact replicate of the few thousand spam threads in the RSOF after the anti RWT updates. GET OVER IT. IF YOU CAN'T COPE WITH CHANGES, LEAVE. P.S. Don't go and give me hypocritic statements like "too bad I can't start a charity now". You can. Who says you have to give a few thousand to be a generous charity? A few hundred gp will do and you can give a few hundred gp to about 30+ players per day. P.S.S. This isn't even a suggestion.
  22. I don't care if low level magic gets a nerf; it is quite overpowered. High level magic not only needs a "small" boost, it needs a reasonably large boost of better spells. Look. f2p mage maxes out at level 59, and the only incentive of getting higher level magic is lower fail rate (not even significant decrease anyway) and the ability to show off your magic level in the highscores/to noobs. I don't care about P2P mage since I'm f2p. Still, it is not necessary to state that P2P mage needs a massive nerf in a thread clearly titled "f2p mage (and range) underpowered"  .
  23. Yeah dump load owns. Its so boring dropping ores while mining and i keep accidentally clicking on the "examine" option. I think hurricane should be restricted to only the contemporary spellbook, or else it will become overpowered. I still disagree with having supreme alchemy. It will force the RS economy to mess up and all the prices would change, causing huge flooding of rants by merchants whose items' prices crashed, etc. Many other things like what you lose if you die list will have to be revamped.
  24. Absurd. Mage and range get a crappier lvl 95 prayer that only boosts their stats by 35% while melee gets better prayers that adds to all 3?? Absolutely bias. Change all of them to lvl 95 or all to 99. And make it something like this. Soul Power (dumb name but couldn't think of anything better) or maybe arcane energiser Increases mage by 35% Unerring Accuracy Increases attack by 35% Impregnable Shield Increases defence by 35% Indomitable Strength Increases strength by 35% Perspicaciousness - found this in the dictionary Increases ranged by 35%
