  1. As you can see, warhammers/maces are supposed to be deadly against plate armored opponents whereas swords/battleaxes/other slashing weapons were technically useless against plate armor unless they hit a weak spot. This is totally not present in Runescape, even though the weapons sections in RS says that warhammers are "good" for crushing plated opponents. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mace_(club) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_hammer
  2. I personally don't think that splitbark denotes magic level 60 considering infinity robes require magic level 50 and give a whopping +55 magic attack bonus (on it's own). But that's members. Low level FTP mage is way, WAY overpowered as it is. Assuming the person has 59 mage, 24 Hp and 40 def, he would be combat lvl 44, which is above "low level" pking (as you said, about lvl 35). There should probably also be something in between (30mage+30def). As far as I know, there's no members mage robes with this req so it should be a new one. P.S. Give blue skirts a magic bonus and change it into "wizard bottom robes" or something like that.
  3. As long as you put that you're 13+ in the registration age part, it should be ok. There's nothing violent/explicit about RS content. Sure, the censor has been loosened up, but seriously, its nothing compared to what you hear at school.
  4. snare is definitely needed. Perhaps a reduction of the number of tokens needed to recharge/buy FoG armor? Anyway, now mages already have teleblock, but it definitely doesn't mean they aren't still underpowered.
  5. The dread whip idea is stupid. It would be just introducing another overpowered weapon for melee that would replace the rune scimmy and make melee even more overpowered(as if it wasn't overpowered already). Seriously, why do so many noobs love, adore, idolize, revere melee to the point that they can't see that the combat triangle is a line with melee at the leading end????
  6. What do you mean by that? There is FAR more evidence supporting the existence of an economy than evidence supporting this dumb creator's point of view. And there is also the major question: WHY would jagex do that? True. "A place for players who want to take part in serious discussions." Yeah fat chance.
  7. True, reducing the cost would be a very viable solution, but the nerf had better not be too much. The cost for f2p mage is ridiculously high for f2p, so many people can't afford to use it effectively. I don't use it much myself, even though I have like 600-700k in f2p. I don't want to see 1000 chaos runes (worth 100k) vanishing in an hour or two of pking/training, which I would only be able to earn back in like 3-4 hours at least.
  8. The token reqs for FoG should be increased. Don't listen to whiners who tell you to decrease it. Its so easy I laughed at it. I personally have not played GoP so I don't know about that but if you feel its fit, just put it in. Those people are just stating their opinion that it is too hard, without any evidence for it.
  9. You can argue about those weps being overpowered or to use another solution, but the main point is the whip being overpowered. I can't get a damage per second calculator, but I'm quite sure anybody who has access to one will tell you that the whip has the highest dps for a extremely low cost.
  10. No, it's not. All I'm saying is that the older you are, the more mature you are. It's an undeniable fact, and I don't see how your trying to argue against it. Maturity isn't a switch, it's a level. So it is true that older people are mature, but so what? RS has a age limit of 13+. So it means that anybody above 13 is mature enough for it. But you don't need to be 13 to play it. I admit I pretended I was 13 when I registered but so what? Even then, many people were far far far more immature than I was at that time. I don't know whether they were 13+ or not, but obviously most of them should be. Basically I'm saying that you DON'T NEED to be 25 or something to be mature enough to play, even kids can be mature enough to play without spamming/doing foolish things, etc.
  11. Snare wouldn't be overpowered if you're pking by yourself. It would only be overpowered in clans. I mean when by yourself, using binding spells would be usually yo gain you extra time to run back, maybe eat, change equipment, then maybe get a extra hit in and that's all. However, in clans, one mage can snare and the snared guy will get barraged with magic and arrows.
  12. Its not about the practicality of it, its just using fletching as an example for goodness's sake.
  13. Maybe you should edit your title to "newbs" not noobs. As someone already pointed out earlier, there is a very large difference between a "newb"(which is what you're supposingly talking about) and a "noob". The RSOF community is probably more rude and immature because they can see your account's stats and laugh about them if their stats are higher and call you a no-life if your stats are higher. In tip.it, you can hide your stats by using a fake name so people will respect you if you give sensible and appropriate comments regardless of your stats (which they don't know about anyway)
  14. How is it overpowered and unnecessary? Nowadays, everyone just buys items from ge. Allow miners and wcers to earn more exp from their hard work. Some rich noobs can just buy tons of items from ge and powertrain all the way to 99.
  15. That was when i checked quite long ago. Sorry, wrong info. Anyway, there is still the corrupt version that lasts only 15 min. That's still a lot of money though, compared to a whip+defender combo, which regularly hits high damage and cost about 1.5mil+time taken to get rune defender. Which is only 2h of effective pking with Zuriel's staff.
  16. Stop arguing about this. You can be 10 years old and be mature enough to post (not spam) sensible and appropriate replies/topics. Your brain doesn't need to be "fully developed" to post sensible comments. Sure, it is more common for kids to be immature, but more teenagers and even some adults can be immature too.(not in brain development, in actions)
  17. Its allowed in tip.it probably but not in RSOF. I wasn't referring only too you, everybody who did it included. Anyway, just because someone did something to you doesn't mean you need to do it back. Just report him.
  18. Can you really produce such a good one? Prove it then. Give him a break. Its not easy writing such a long report.
  19. quelmotz replied to a post in a topic in General Discussion
    Yeah true.
  20. Its not extremely important that f2p ranged gets new armor, but f2p mage definitely needs some more.
  21. Compare to mining and wc? Thats why runes are so expensive. Expensive runes->expensive mage->mage rarely used
  22. Former members quit, so why should they be allowed? They're not giving money to Jagex, so unless they meet the reqs, why should they be allowed?
  23. Kindly factor in the incredible costs for miasmic barrage? AGS is a one time investment whereas Zuriel's staff costs - what 2mil for 15 min!! Sure, in the short run its 50 times cheaper than AGS but after 12.5 hours of pking, which isn't exactly eons, the cost evens out and later on the cost exceeds AGS.
  24. Get lost if you want to spam. This is a thread for proper suggestions, not stupid idiotic crap like yours.
  25. Great idea. But maybe the drills are too "advanced" for RS because its set in the middle ages.
