israeli soldiers kill 9 in international waters

You may like to know Hamas is refusing all the humanitarian aid. actually, they're not refusing medicines and medical apparatuses. The hospitals aren't refusing anything: you just have to bring it yourself, rather than organize it through Hamas. I know for a fact that Israel is to blame for this batch of medicine, at least. you can get around government in almost all cases when you bring items legally into a country, because there are very few planned economies: you can skip talking to the government. -

well, now that santas have 2 consecutive updates down, they may be "crashing" as people panic, even hoarders (or those with more than just a couple) will sell some. the question is when the right time to buy is for the most profit when they rise again. I thought about selling a santa when they updated only + 1,3m a couple days ago, just to feel like i was doing something, didn't though. noow i could have rebought for a tidy profit :P oh well, can't guess all the market prices. Crowns are updating very strangely, up a few k, then multiple hundred etc. -

I want to present another, local fact: Norway has sent medical equipment, payed by our taxpayers, to aid the basic humanitarian situation in gaza: röntgen machines, blood pressure gauges, and medicines. These goods arrived in Israel to clear customs in mid december of least year. they are still stuck in storage. The presentation of facts is good and all, but the selection of facts is equally important: what you choose to present or omit shows what kind of spin you want to put on the situation. why should the hospitals in gaza not have the equipment to diagnose cancer effectively? why should they not be able to measure air pressure? why shouldn't they be allowed noodles? I think Israel needs to learn what the Americans learned in the mid-sixties (i believe it was): proportional response. That's how you ensure you have the moral integrity terrorists, extremists and other groups you don't want to be associated to don't have. -
Jagex have at least confirmed that the one holding the cracker always gets a partyhat after the release of anti-rwt measures. otherwise pulling crackers had a chance of being the best method for rwt in existence.

Every weapon except spears are halved in damage when hitting corp. Because of this, no weapon is as good as spears on him, despite the speed or stab bonus. Also while talking about spirit shields, I've been noticing Elysians have been gaining about 20M in the GE every 60 days or so. This shows promising for the long run of the shields value. At that current price increase, Elysian's street value will equal the GE value, and be buy-able on the GE, sometime in the next 16 months if not sooner. I image the closer and closer it gets to street price, the faster it will rise. 1gp street is not equal to 1 gp ge value. junk isn't worthless: you can get rid of it loosing some ge value, rarely more than 50% though, unless the junk is horrible. Therefore street value has a higher number than its equivalent true value (if the ge was more dynamic and the market prices changed quicker). Any item reaching "street price" on the GE has had a real increase in value of at least 20-30% of the junk's value (as junk always updates lower than last update). It's likely that the sheilds are buyable on the GE when the street value is about 15-20% higher than the ge value to an extent. we have to consider other market fluctuations in the real values of the shields though: that's not going to be static for over a year :D -

ah right. Officially confirmed yes, Jagex not releasing in the knowledge base. typical. i still don't see a rising future for ely's / divines though, corping is still just too profitable. -
where are you all getting this gp/ exp value from? i know i'd only bring the bonecrusher to places i get bones, and otherwise don't bury them. That makes the exp completely free (other than the time initially invested in dungeoneering points). If you're gonna kill loads of stuff in the future, it would be worth bringing everywhere you have a net gain in prayer exp worth an inventory slot: to nechryael the bone crusher exp would have to be worth more than the last drop before you bank, for other creatures the values would be different, but it would be very usable for many arenas. the net gain in time for prayer exp would reimburse the slight time in dungeoneering quite quickly: you'd only need to get about 4 hours worth of prayer exp with it at any point in time. with D bones being so expensive, that isn't much exp.

Last time I checked, Zspear is still the best weapon unless you're smuggling out promethium spears. H'weens seem to have lost a little bit of street, thoughts? I'm sure on the dungeoneering. The dung weapons are better for all types of bosses, slaying etc. if you have all three, that is., unless there's some insane strategy i don't know of, involving a different zspear method than the common one. If you're the stab kind of guy: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?item1=7095&item2=9911&rs2item_tools=&compare=&submit=Compare If you still swear by crush (i woudn't): http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Chaotic_maul (tip.it items database doesn't seem to have the chaotic maul in its records, when i searched for "maul" and when i searched for "chaotic") masks are gaining real value: of course they're dropping in street. 1m street doesn't equal 1m in real, ge value. The real value of masks isn't compensating fast enough as of this moment, but i expect that to change when street approaches ge price, with masks continuing to be bought out (why would people sell?). -
Which Money Sinks Would Help Runescape Economy?

very good and valid point: consider rares. With general deflation, would partyhats, masks, disks, pumpkins etc. suddenly stop their weekly price increases? No, they'd be even more attainable for those without them at this moment in time. Would market value approach street value more closely? definitely. how would it all turn out? That's anyones guess. -

Hate to break it to you but you are in no way on earth near getting a divine, a divine = a green phat, and everything you have equates to about 1/8 of a divine IMO. Seriously your best shot is to camp G.E and try snipe a green, that's what i would do, and i would actually do it as i want that shield so bad myself, however i'm on exams so I cannot afford to waste time camping. umm, after standing in world 2 with my green hat on for about....5 minutes, i've already gotten three divine + [insert random risings here] offers so i'm assuming its more closer to yellow . btw, it seems to be dropping faster than any other rares in the market along with ely. well everyone knows that dungeoneering weaps make corping that much easier: they can only get more common. Green hats are forever, they are limited: of course I'd always take the option of getting a true rare. think of coming back onto rs in 5 years, wearing even a santa. May lead to a follow of noobs who have never seen one before... :D -
or someone starting at lvl 1 hunting. just the time saved dropping bones from hunted creatures would be worth the time imo: less hassle falconeering etc.

I don't think it's enough, you could always double check by giving the offer to someone who is selling, and see what kind of response you get. (especially if you have a friend with a shield). As i'm sure you know, masks have significant street value: that means selling them on the GE looses you net worth. Masks are guaranteed to rise several millions, and rise every time the GE updates because they're bought out. Santas are also currently bought out (unless that's changed the last couple of hours), however these don't hold too much street value at the moment, due to the fact that they haven't been bought out on the GE for a month ( i bought my last santa for 102m on the GE, which isn't long ago). Therefore, i would not sell, even if you can't get something directly related to the skills you're suggesting: if you do decide on selling, i'm sure you'll find people on this thread with cash, willing to take them off your hands (what is the difference between market price and max trade price when you're sacrificing millions in street value as rising items anyway?). For specifics, i'd check RSOF Items with more than GE value are a business of dealing thought. getting secondary opinions would be good for you, and finding the right person to complete your trade is obviously essential: you can get a good deal, or a bad one. -
thing is though, the afkable skills, all skills come together in "end-game content" such as dungeoneering. I got 99 wc while doing homework, i got 99 cooking while doing homework, i got 99 fletching while running from slayer task to slayer task with bolts: these things took me little to no time. I reap the benefits having more fun while dungeoneering: less hassle while doing the dungeons. However, with slayer, with other skills, i have fun playing. Training the skills are means to an end: more fun. 94 range and mage wasn't fun, having 76 defence at 116 combat, but "pure" pking was epic. Maxing out prayer wasn't fun then and there. but it was worth all the amazing f2p pking at high combat at w3 castle (now those were the days), 85 mining was completely worth it for rune rock pking with teams (being a miner, I could always find friends who wanted to go, because i had mining), 95 agility was quite fun chatting to people (irl friends, ventrilo, teamspeak, msn etc.) not because of the runescape, but because of the other activities: runescape wasn't what i was primarily doing, it was secondary. The agility for f2p warring and pking before the agility update led to epic drags, more damange and more fun f2p warring. That was definitely fun. skill training: a nice secondary activity to do while having fun online IRL, the fun things in runescape need them for when you're in the mood for runescape (as primary activity). That's how i see it anyway.

That's neither here nor there though: the evidence you could give of a genuinely accepted trade would be a second trade screen that your trading partner has accepted (the trade closes when you accept too), because at that point in time, you can accept the trade (they can still get out of it though). back on topic: santas still moving upwards, bobs seem to have established their place as currency (about 2m street, sets 10-13m right?), onyx gems / rings at around 2-3 crowns, crowns possibly on the downward move? blue mask at approximately 2 greens etc. -

if you get illegally pulled over by a swedish cop outside of mexico, I would certainly be pissed if I had done nothing wrong, and were faced with what seems to be a gun (paintball). please, when the policeman, isn't in his jurisdiction, he's nothing but a regular guy, with what looks like a gun. Two wrongs don't make a right, but one wrong is astronomically more wrong than the other, a wrong isn't any wrong. That's a simplification a lot of the pro-Israelis seem to be taking on this thread. It is actually as clear cut as that. either it's illegal, or it's not. It was illegal, so there isn't really much you can say. These same international laws are used on a weekly basis on the northern Norwegian-russian border when it comes to fishing vessels, and the right to search them to see that their methods are legal or not. Had the Israelis done this legally in their territorial matters it would be equally as clear-cut that the anti-blockaders attacked legal customs officers, and were 100% in the wrong to do so. -

Yes, they were. They never should have tried to board that ship. Just as Rony said, there you are changing the statements around again. Why do you call the people on the ship idiots? There is a saying that is very relevant in Arabic, fear can make a donkey attack a lion. The people of the ship were in all right to be where they were as it was international water. Since Israel was conducting an illegal boarding, I don't care if it was Satan himself, they had all rights to be there and they had all right to defend themselves from breakers of the law, and worse, breakers of the word they agreed to [i.e. the UN laws governing the sea which they signed]. Israel, the lion, stuck themselves in a position to pounce and the IHH, the donkey, decided to respond to an unwanted threat. Israel signed an international agreement to adhere to the laws of the sea which they break and yet they validate the existence of their country by a UN resolution? It is convenient to pick and choose what agreements to follow. Israel has also had the "it is illegal to settle occupied territory" resolution passed on them and reiterated many times which they have ignored and such but I won't get into that. Simple, because they knew who was boarding, and they attacked first. There wouldn't have been any casualties if they didn't start attacking. As I said before, they were warned before, and did you even see the radio transmission video? sorry, a simple fact seems to be evading a lot of people, so i'll post it in a big, colored font: The boarding was illegal. No legal mumbo-jumbo can get you around that. Israel had no right to board the ships in international waters. The definition by law, is one of an Israeli attack. as tonnes of posts to that effect on this thread have not seem to penetrated the minds of the posters here, or at least not changed the language they use in claiming "aggression, or attacks" by the protesters, someone had to do it. -
try 15b. half wine is going for blue + white then i have a friend who got INSANELY lucky. ambler, rares won't crash, they won't dip: they're all being bought out. we have an increasing amount of people with cash from godwars /td's etc. who are quitting and investing, or investing for looks. Rares are actually something high level players seem to enjoy again, because they're becoming so insanely expensive: if you have a partyhat, you have it. if you don't, it'll take you aaaages to merch to get one.

no, all masks go for some million, even on the forums. bats/cats/wolfs are all about 10m in w2 for buying and selling offers. they're also all permanently bought out on the ge, just like bob shirts. bobs are more currency-like though. they may be the new crowns / unfs -

This is hardly a realistic comparative quote. Let's rephrase it, shall we, to make it actually the same. I don't condone Israel's actions here. They broke international law, tried to bully their way into public opinion by appearing tough, and are partially spouting propaganda designed to hide their guilt. But this is no one way street. The activists wanted to illegally break a legal blockade put in place for a very good reason (although specifics are questionable). They were looking for a fight, and they got one. As I've always maintained, Israel has the opportunity to be the better man in this situation. They didn't have to board. But they have decided strong arming is their best course of action, and will reap the consequences now and in the future. realistically, they had to check the ship. they could have done so in a legal manner (i.e. wait about 2 hours). then if the anti-blockaders resort to violence, they'd have the legitimacy to protect their "customs officers". That is what morality is about: doing everything in ways that are predictable, repeatable and in tune with the official laws and policies you agree to, internationally. then this would not have been an issue. -
quite the contrary: they're very useful due to the ge: anything that's usually unbuyable from the ge, you can get from a company for med. price. It's taking advantage of them, yes, but you can get unstrung gold ammies, you can get battlestaffs, adamant unf bolts, adamant arrowtips, plain pizzas + anchovies for 120+gp profit per make into anchovie pizzas, cheese which seemingly holds street value, double nat crafting through assistance requests etc. etc.

they could take away the highscores, and re-release them to thunderous applause too it seems. I'm glad we're forgiving, at least sometimes :D Didn't Coke-Cola do something like that.....? i know they took away / rereleased fanta lemon / fanta mandarin / fanta grape here. Removed one, put it back, removed one, put it back, removed the third, put it back within 3 years. That might just be CocaCola Norway though... who knows? -
to all those suggesting buying a half-full wine: you know their street value is 1000m+ (1bil) right? I would still suggest something that uses an onyx to be made, like a fury. unless jagex decide to change the amount of tokkul required for a gem, i can't see any price change but upwards for these.

you don't need a blockade to search all the goods to ensure that no weapons pass through. If you can make weapons out of concrete, coriander and wood to build houses: don't let those pass. But you obviously can't, so the blockade in itself is unnecessary. Searching for weapons is highly necessary, and should continue, also from the Egyptian border. The issue is far from clear-cut in my opinion, but both of the parties involved (Hamas, not the demonstrators) are using methods i deem below humane standards. The ships should be searched, within territorial waters. I can't see any reason for justifying searching them outside of territorial waters, and not waiting 2 hours to do it legally, correctly and on a moral high-ground. Yes, Hamas is a terrorist organization and have to be dealt with accordingly, but the 1,5m civilians are not terrorists and deserve humane treatment, and the right to live lives outside of poverty (through aid passing through Israel, no blockade). even though Israel is settling in areas where they should not, that is no reason for Palestinians to fire rockets into Israel. who is the lesser of two evils? that's up to personal values i think, at least. -

due to the April 4th behind the scenes post that Kingly imps are set to be rarer. that's my analysis of the scene anyway. I don't know how the dupe works, just heard it exists, and has yet to be fixed(?)
