Agreed. Like I said, my guess is as good as yours as to why they'd limit it at the p2p max combat level - or even limit it at all, but this appears to be the case. I can't see any other reason for the xp nerf to presumably only effect those in the 90-138 combat range. My understanding of the nerf was that it was implemented to discourage members from doing floors on free worlds where the monsters are easier. I guess those particular levels were never corrected for when they brought out the EoC which is why it stops at 138. Makes me glad my combat level went from 70-something (I don't recall exactly) to 152 when the EoC went live. I jumped the whole affected range. :grin:

There's currently a version of RS that has that, and you don't even have to pay for it. ;) You got me! No, but seriously, RSC is before my time, and doesn't have the same appeal to me because of this. I was referring more to the free version of the current game, but RSC works too.

As cool as it would be to wear Armani robes or have Red Bull energy restore potions, I don't think product placement would work very well within the game itself. What we need are more obscure references to pop culture and history. Where's my Lizzie Borden brand hatchet dammit! :P

The same argument could be made about the return of free trade and the wild. It opened the floodgates for the onslaught of bots we suffered for months afterwards which basically caused the bottom to fall out of the economy, killed any form of resource gathering skills, ruined community interaction in the G.E. and banks, and caused a lot of people to quit. All that from an update people begged for. Just remember: be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

Anyone have an image of the love emote? Personally, I'm going to wait a few days for the market to become flooded with them so the price drops precipitously. Then, depending on how far they drop, I'll just buy the 3500 hearts I need for the two emotes.

My roads are regularly plowed and after a couple of days (sometimes more if it's a really bad snowfall) the residential streets get widened to allow proper use. That's what is supposed to happen in Ottawa as well, but because the city council continually bungles the budget most of the residential areas outside of downtown or major arteries are lucky to get the snow removed from one side. These areas regularly have barely enough room for one car to go down at a time for weeks after a heavy snowfall. The city seems to go over budget on snow removal every year, yet never allocate more funds and are quick to threaten cuts to it when trying to justify raising taxes. I really wish Ottawa had term limits for the councilors so we could get rid of these idiots.

I think RS07 is going to turn into a ghost world like RSC has become, and as much as I'd like to see it happen I doubt they're ever going to give us back hiscores.

Except there really won't be any PK'ing to speak of at the beginning, just a bunch of level 10's duking it out in black armor. Doesn't sound all that great to me.
