I think everyone in here has a pretty good handle on what and how things should be discussed. Despite its subject matter (which according to internet logic should have devolved into obscene photos and language within 3 seconds of its inception), I think this might have the least moderator interference of any longstanding topic in OT. Just don't go bypassing the censor, and we should be all good. :grin:

Exactly. Some of the best conversations I have are with random people while sitting or waiting. Now I just need to figure out how to do it with attractive girls. lol And yes, anything that lets you clearly type a word that would be otherwise filtered is censor evasion and is against the rules. I've edited the preceding posts so it no longer appears. Everyone consider this your one and only rules reminder about this. There will be warnings next time. :shame:

Now that we're a month in, how's everyone doing with their resolutions? I've cut my smoking down from over half a pack a day to about 6 or 7 cigarettes (or half of half a pack) a day. :thumbsup: I started by trying to limit myself to one no more than every two hours, but I found that was very close to what I was smoking already so I extended it to one every three hours. This week I'm starting on one every four, which will lower it to about 4 or 5 a day.

Sounds like it's a fairly proper reenactment of medieval times. Oh wait, it's supposed to be fiction. :P

Here's a small one to tide you over for a bit. ;) I did the redone Demon Slayer quest this week. It's not quite as good as the old one, but making the demon go kerplooie at the end was pretty cool. The reward lamps also gave me this: [hide=63 Constitution] [/hide] I started fishing lobsters the other day while waiting for my superheating supplies to buy and was really enjoying it. I've caught 1k of them and now I'm going to cook them all before I start making Rune bars again. I'll post the fish/cook level up pics once they're all done. Should be sometime later tonight or tomorrow depending on how much time I have today.

I actually didn't mind gym class all that much, we had an excellent teacher who really tried to make things fun. The problem was the other students, specifically the elitism exhibited by the ones who were very athletic as they looked down on the rest of us who weren't as good. Yes, I was looked down on. I was a math/music nerd (specifically a "band geek"). As hard as it is to believe, I wasn't always the suave and confident person I pretend to be over the internet. :lol:

Wait, what? It doesnt need any kind of developing as they have done everything already. Obv we would pay p2p also so that's just pure profit for them for doing nothing. No, but they do need money to run the server in the first place. Considering how many servers have been removed lately, it seems unlikely that they would want to retask any more, especially for ones running a different game from the rest.

Clearly you were never one of the unpopular people during gym class. :P Seriously though, banning balls from school? What, exactly, are kids supposed to play with? How are they supposed to learn teamwork skills if there are no sports? (and no, running (distance dash, cross-country, etc..) is not a "team" sport) How are they supposed to learn to take risks in life if all chances of failure are taken away? Like they said in Transmetropolitan: "It is not American to swaddle you in cotton from cradle to grave." Kids need to learn to take chances, to balance risk versus reward, to know the feeling of success when you win and how to deal with the disappointment of losing. Once they leave school and enter the workforce, no one is going to pat them on the head and give them hugs when they screw up.

I doubt they're really going to do anything. People have been complaining about "how much better RS was before" after pretty much every update since the G.E. was introduced. The game is going to evolve and move forward. Players either have to evolve with it or move out of the way. That said, I think the EoC was released way too early. Something that big really shouldn't have to be "tweaked" (read: fixed) every other week. Also, I really doubt the game is making enough money to run dedicated servers for pre-EoC or pre-G.E. versions of the game.

I was kind of disappointed that they didn't rework Silverlight to go along with the new quest. I don't care for the look of it at all. 1-hitting the skeletons with a black 2H was fun though, and fighting the demon was cake. I just stood next to whatshisname and the demon came to me so I was always in the protective circle when he used his special attack. I really don't remember the original quest so I can't comment on whether it's better or not, but the new one did seem kind of short

Definitely looks like a good month. I'm interested to see what they'll do with the old random characters in the museum.
